Mi 9 Touchscreen does not work (likely software issue), is there a way to get my data? - Xiaomi Mi 9 Questions & Answers

Hello,
my Mi 9 (stock rom, locked bootloader, never touched anything) recently got into a boot-loop apparently for no reason. After some tinkering it turned on again. Sadly the touch screen does not respond for some reason. The problem is the last backup of the phone is not so recent and I would really like to get all the photos of that phone.
What I already tried:
Connect Mouse and Keyboard via an OTG cable => not recogniced
Letting the battery drain completeley hoping it would reset itself
Fully charging the battery
Connect ADB => cannot authorize without touch
Connect Xiaomi PC Sync software => does not connect probably needs authorization as well
Stock Recovery does not allow to wipe caches
Last resort was to open up the phone and disconnect the battery and reconnect after a couple of minutes (touch did not work before that)
What is not working:
Touch
Face Unlock
USB OTG Peripherals
USB connection to download photos to PC
What had happened:
Phone randomly went into a boot-loop aparently for no reason
At first booting into Safe Mode worked but not for long
Draing the battery completely did not and fully recharging it => Now the phone turns on again in normal mode as well as Safe Mode
Assuming the initial issue was related to a very weak battery
Battery was already weak before everything happened
Now battery only holds charge for a couple of hours in standby
Sadly after booting the things mentioned above did not work anymore
Maybe failing to boot so often has done anything to the software or the cache on the device
Also storage was already pretty full before everything happened, might play into it
Tried many things, last resort was to open the phone and disconnect the battery for a few minutes => did not work
Touch malfunctioned already before that, so it is unlikely that I caused any hardware damage
What i am looking for:
To get my pictures back, I know if I had done a proper backup we would not be in that situation.
Have not yet tried:
I don't know if there is a way to flash the stock ROM via fastboot or if this could help
Could this help?
Can it be done when the bootloader is locked?
Can it be done without loosing data, screen lock pattern is enabled on the phone.
If you have any more ideas please let me know, I already tried everything I could think of and nothing worked.
Thank you a lot

Also I read something about EDL and EDL Pins, would this help me to download the data partition or clear the cache? Would clearing the cache help? Could the data partition be somehow decrypted outside of the phone?

flickering screen + activesync not working

So, I went to sleep one night when battery was around 55%, woke up 8 hours later, my phone surprising turned off (turn out to be out of battery)..
I charge and turn it back up, the screen for the first time since I got the phone start flickering (the first screen before windows boot). Looking for a quick fix, I want to hard reset, but I would like to backup everything before I do a hard-reset. The problem - I cannot get neither activesync to work NOR disk mode to work.
This flickering screen had never happened before, I don't know the cause. Very confused myself what happened while I slept, solution to at least ONE of the problem would be helpful
Thanks
Ok, I read on forums that I could potentially fix the problem by downgrading to HardSPL 1.37. The problem is that it requires activesync to work. Not being able to get it to work, I did a hard reset, now everytime i try to go into activesync, it tells me that i need to install some software from the Getting Started CD which I don't have.
Someone help me, this is driving me insane
Thanks.
I havn't notice this, but I cannot get anything out of hte speaker because the phone thinks a headphone is plugged in, i dont know if this disables any activesync from the usb cable.. but either way, I cannot get pass the screen where it asks to install software from Getting Started Disc.....
it seems like the computer doesn't recognize that a phone has been plugged, tried on diff computers already
someone help, my phone is useless with this problem.
I have also this problem, it happened about a year ago and I have not used it since.
Now I wanted to recover the contents of the flash drive, but I can't get it connected to the pc.
I made a hard reset, and it stays the same flickering and heating a lot. And now I can't go past the screen calibration.
How can I access the flash?

I Hard-Bricked my SGS 3 Mini

Hello, my name is TNSM and i'm new here. I signed up because i can't find anything on the internet that can help me, so i thought maybe someone here may be able to help me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190 and i'm experienced with rooting and flashing custom roms stuff. So, i was looking everywhere for a rom that included the HALO feature and after days of failed research, i found a link on Youtube to download a rom with Halo for my smartphone. I went into the recovery, backed up my current rom, wiped data and performed a factory reset, installed the rom and rebooted the phone... but after i chose the "Reboot" option, the phone never again gave a sign of life. It doesn't turn on, it doesn't show any lights whatsoever, i've tried to charge it overnight, but still nothing, considered buying a USB JIG but didn't work, my cousin says the phone seems like it doesn't even have the bootloader anymore... is my phone more than hard-bricked? Is there a way to wake my phone up again? Just for the record, it has no physical damage, it just seems like it has no software inside, that it's just hardware. By the way, when i connect it to the pc using the usb cable, the pc keeps playing the sound that something was plugged in and that something was plugged out right after, and it loops forever.
I'll give more information about the phone if needed. And i hope someone's able to help me.

You may try to pull off the battery for few mins, then with someone's help hold the 3 buttons for download mode and then plug in the battery...
If you can't turn it in download mode there's no way to fix it, except jtag maybe.

Xiaomi MI A2 turns off when unplugging

Hi.
Today appeared some problems with my A2. When I woke up and unlocked phone it turned off. Yesterday everything worked perfectly fine. I tried like 20 times, everytime the same scenario- turns on, but when I type PIN, home screen is loading, and phone goes down. It may look like bootloop, but its not typical, cuz it goes farther than just booting screen. So I tried to fix, wiped phone, set lang. to Polish, and it dumps again, but I've read somewhere, that it might be language issue, so I wiped it once more and set English. It seemed to be working, but then I unplugged it from my PC (charging only) and it turned off immediately. Worth mentioning is fact, that battery is 92%. What may cause this? Is this some soft problem? Or more like battery issue?
Update: Phone works unplugged, but only on lock screen. Turns down when I unlock.

Hello, I have the same problem. I now have to carry an external battery with me, because plugging it in is the only thing that wakes up my phone. If I don't have a charger, then I have to hold power for 30; seconds to force reset. It's really annoying, causing me to miss calls and alarms. Anyone know of any fixes? Thanks
Hey,
I am facing the exact same problem. Though I had an additional problem. My phone didn't charge when I plugged it in until I restarted it. Factory resedidn't help either.
In both your cases the problem is your wifi even if you dont understand it ...
if you can unlock your phone quickly and toggle off wifi the phone wont reboot or loop
your persist partition is damaged from changing between pie and android 10 ..
look around for a flashable zip to repair your persist ( it does it exist )
or take the long root and use miflash to flash persist by modifying certain files in stock fastboot rom folder
but next time explain your problem better
--- what did you do -- change version ( update or downgrade ) -- did you root -- do you have twrp -- what version of android-- did you return to stock from custom or vice versa --- etc etc etc

Question HELP - Bootloop into Recovery without any attempt to flash

Hey, everybody!
I got a problem and hope to find help in here:
I recently got my Mi 11 Ultra (12GB / 512GB) from Tradingshenzhen. I bought an unmodified chinese version. After setting up my phone a few days ago the only things I did was changing the language of the Play Store using Morelocale 2 and deleting 2-3 (really unnecessary) apps using ADB. I didn't flash anything, didn't unlock the bootloader or didn't even start the unlocking process.
Everything worked fine for a 2-3 days now. Tonight I realized that the phone was off. As I was thinking that the battery was empty (there was a message a while before that the battery was low) I connected the phone to the charging cable and did a long press on the power button trying to turn it on. I put the phone aside and went to bed.
Today in the morning I took the phone and saw that it was obviously in some kind of menu I hadn't seen before. It says " Main Menu MIUI Recovery 5.0". There are three options: reboot, wipe data and connect to MiAssistant. When I am choosing "reboot" the phone tries to reboot but ends up in Recovery Mode again. And again. And again.
How is this possible? Anyone knows what happened here? As I said...I didn't flash any ROM or opened the bootloader.
Unfortunately there is one photo on the device that I need and haven't uploaded to any cloud yet.
Thanks in advance!
Can't see any other options that will work without losing that photo.....
Maybe an expert could help you but I'm not sure you will be able to reflash yourself without Data wipe....
Thanks!
I actually wiped the data and reset the phone. Works now again but the photo is lost.
There is a way to retrieve data from a board but it involves taking the whole phone apart , which is risky, and connecting a couple of wires to some points on the circuit board....
Not for the feint of heart and I haven't seen it done yet on this model but there's a YouTube video of it being done on an older xiaomi phone....

Samsung S10 Black Screen of Death due to Low Storage? Data Recovery

Hey guys. Last week, I changed my wallpaper to a live wallpaper for the lockscreen and the screen suddenly went black.
The display is all black, can still go into Recovery Mode and Download Mode just fine, but have to wait until the battery drains since I can't manually power it off. I can hold the Power Key for the Power Off and Restart but they are unresponsive. Cannot go into Safe Mode either.
I suspect it is because the internal storage is too full, thus the booting sequence can't be made. All the local phone repair stores told me I had to just factory reset it. But I have very important data and memories in there. There is not enough memory to boot up. I have to try an official Samsung Repair Store.
I have tried reflashing the firmware via ODIN already. Wiping the cache partition. Hard resetting and soft resetting. Nothing worked.
I was wondering if there was any way for me to recover the data by getting the chip out and connecting it to some special hardware to PC and read the files? I believe it is a KLUDG4U1EA-B0C1 UFS memory chip. Would easyJTAG work? I remember reading something about S6 phones being able to get their chips read by Dediprog/Nuprog, what about these chips?
Black Screen Of Death on Android may have one of these causes
Improper applications: You might have installed some incompatible Apps or Apps with virus or bugs.
Impertinent charging: You kept the mobile phone charged for long after it is fully charged, the device will also be damaged.
Unusable battery or charger: Charger or battery in use is too old or incompatible.
App caches: The Apps used might leave to many caches on device what would interrupt the running of Android OS.
Clearing cache partition is a common but effective way to fix blank phone screen issue. Thus, you can try to boot phone into Recovery mode and wipe the cache partition on the Android.
