How to enable the new Pixel battery widget? - Google Pixel 5 Questions & Answers

Hi guys,
I'm on the March build and can't find a way to set the new battery widget as shown in the video:
https://fdn.gsmarena.com/imgroot/news/22/03/pixel-feature-drop/gsmarena_003.mp4
So, what do I have to do?
Thanks!

Same issue here. Hopefully, it's just because this feature will be rolled out after the system update (?)

I found a solution. If you have Android 12.1 (build nr. SP2A.220305.012) installed, you just have to wait an update of the system app called "settings suggestions". I wasn't patient enough, so I grabbed it from APK mirror. After updating the app the widget is available!

Works perfectly, thanks!

You are lucky.
I have a pixel 5, updated to March security update and with Settings Services up-to-date but no widget available.
I was in French, so I switched to English (without rebooting) but still no widget.
I guess I have to be a little bit more patient.
Anyway, thanks a lot for sharing

[Q] Update appli

Hello everyone! I have stupid question: Is there any way to update via android market applications that are not installed from the market? I am sure many of you out there have outdated apks that needs to be updated. So you install an apk and if it is outdated, market app should find it and update with the latest version existing in the market
Like i said maybe a stupid question
If an app is on the market then it will update .If its not from the market then it will not update unless updating is built into the app .

You may need to go into Settings -> Applications and find the Market and do a "force close" and then a "clear data".
The next time you open up the market it should rebuild the list of 'installed apps'.

did you install gapps v7.1 and fixer? if no, install it first
i already install gapps v7.1 but still no google maps. BTW i already got one from app brain using the barcode scanner and i got install it thanks =)
ISSUE SOLVED!
gapps doesn't come with Google Maps. You need gapps to have the Market.
You need to add your account after flashing gapps. --> Settings --> Account & Sync --> Add Account.
Then you can download Maps in the Market.

Can anyone give me a tip on how to download Google Drive files on mobile? The zips always get saved as some weird name eg 2016-08-23- XXXX and saved to some weird location that does not show up in search (not Downloads folder). Really annoying, I am sure there is a simple workaround.

Yes, it works like a charm just flash the zip file in the custom recovery and then the Aroma installer UI appears and later on it's self explanatory.
I did it on latest Feb 2017 security update (N4F26O) on Stock Android
Just a quick note, seeing this is still a recurring thing, anytime I flash OpenGapps aroma version, the apps that are excluded are automatically removed from the rom after the aroma zip is flashed. So aroma package also functions as a debloater.
If you have no scripts or don't know what to do, using Aroma OpenGapps has been a good alternative option for me.

Google Assistant on Oxygen OS without root or any tweaks

As google has started rolling out google assistant for devices running nougat and marshmallow there are lots of question about when its coming for our device and our country.... Currently assistant is only available on specific devices and specific countries (US and germany)
I have found a trick using which any device running on Nougat (Even marshmallow i guess) can enable google assistant
Here's what you need to do
1) Update your google play services to 10.2.98(440-146496160)
download apk from here - http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...s-10-2-98-440-146496160-android-apk-download/
2)Change system language and Google app language to US english
3)Clear google app data and cache
4)long press home button and meet your Google assistant ?
Note:- I haven't tested on marshmallow or any other ROM as i am using oos open beta 12 so if u get it working then do comment....
Doesn't work.. beta 12 also...

It do work i m on open beta 12... I have also tested on oneplus 2 marshmallow..
Wait for few hours it takes time sometimes on my op2 it was enabled after 2 hours....
Also try registering for the beta program of play services
Or simply update the Google app from playstore. I did it yesterday.
Worked like a charm
Thanks for this useful post, it worked like a charm for me.
Download the latest apk of google app and google play services and set your device primary language to English (US). Google assistant will get activated after 6-7 hrs.
Tried it myself on OOS 4.0.3 and then on 4.1.0 . It's working as advertised.

Question Google Play System Update S21U (SM-G998B/DS) April '22?

Google announce roll-out of April update of Google Play System Update (GPSU). My S21U still shows the version of March 1st 2022. Checking for updates replies that my device is up to date.
According to Googles release notes the new update should bring several critical fixes and improved security, connectivity and stability.
So I want it!
My questions:
‐ does Samsung play a role in distributing these system updates, or is it pure Google who pushes the updates?
‐ Can I force the update to be installed? How?
- Did any S21U user already received the April update?
1. Pure Google.
2. VIA Apkmirror
3. Not yet

Regarding 2., in APKMirror I can find Google play Services. I believe that is not the same as Google Play System update. Am I overlooking something?
edit: correct typo PKMirror iso APKMirror
Oh, just understood what you mean. This is truly a system update. You can try flashing gapps, however, I've never flashed them over OneIU

Search "main components" from Google on APK mirror. This is the system update.
