Sensor App - Diamond Theremin Musical Drum Machine Instrument

The idea is to make a musical instrument something like the Theremin, which produces a tone whose volume and pitch depend on where the player's hands are positioned.
With the Diamond, the G sensors are used to detect whether the device is being held flat, tilted, rotated, etc.. Rotation in X alters the pitch of a note generated (using the low level wave API). Rotation in Y alters the volume of the sound. Rotation in Z (orientation) alters the polyphony (e.g. ranging from pure tones to chords of increasing complexity).
Alternatively, the device could be made to emit some sort of percussive sound in time to the device's motion. Sort of like a drum emulation/machine.
I have a prototype that does the tone/volume/polyphony, but it's rough around the edges, and not as responsive as I'd like. Right now the screen just shows some debug info. I have no idea what would be good to show on the screen
Comments/suggestions welcome.
sounds cool.

Have you been on other Android devices?

I was wondering - what would the perfect mash up of ROM features be, if I combined the stock ROMs from the manufacturers of Android devices I have owned?
I liked the Sense launcher and the widgets on HTC Wildfire S, which was my first Android device. Also the alarm clock. It was nice to look at.
The HTC broke up contact numbers in pairs of two, as they should be in Denmark, with 8 digits in phone numbers. The extended reboot menu, with shutdown, reboot and fast boot was a nice feature.
I miss the reboot option natively on the Z.
On i9100 I *hated* TouchWiz and the colors! Also, the lack of notification LED was a huge problem for me.
The lack of to disable the preview of incoming texts, so they would light up screen and scroll through the notification bar, had me starting using Handcent SMS.
Now I use Handcent, because it also can customize notification colors in the status bar, and notification LED color.
They i9100 on 4.0.0 firmware broke up contact numbers in pairs of two, that was good, but it could not disable the preview of incoming texts, that was bad.
Later firmware updates gave the ability to disable text preview, but broke up contacts in sets of 3-3-2, making the number difficult to read.
Call quality was lousy because of the forced noice cancelling and the weak antenna.
All in all the i9100, being a high end device, had some serious flaws when I come to think about it.
I liked the extended sound control panel in the i9100, and I miss it on the Z.
From CM I miss fast toggles to toggle 2/3/4G.
I would love the stock ROM on the Z to have customizable notification LED in the message app, and privacy box like Handcent SMS.
Aqua Mail beats stock mail app by a mile.
Z have a very stable software and a low amount of wake locks. I really like that. However, the screen really drinks all the battery no time - or so it feels like.
Do you have similar thoughts to share?

Vibrate on touch - intensity

Hi guys.
I'm really annoyed about one thing with my Xperia Z1 - vibration intensity for vibration on touch. I personally think it's way too long. Feels like the lenght of the vibration is set to something like 120-150ms. Is there a way to change it somehow? I have root, so maybe it's one of the system files that contains that setting?
I've set vibration length for keyboar to 35ms and I think it's perfect for feedback. Would love to be able to set it for the same value for function "vibration on touch".
Anyone anything?

[Q] Cursor Speed

Is it possible to adjust the cursor speed (touch screen speed) with similar rates to that of ios phones? It is quite fast and it seems not to be so effective as i try to change it by decreasing the bar which can be found in the Menu of Language & Input. Is there another way to handle it?

[Users Request] op3-op3T

Dear OnePlus,
We, OnePlus 3/3T users, have been discusing regarding software matters and an agreement has been put in place. We would like some features to be implemented for upcoming updates so that we could get the best out of our devices – as well as getting more stability on Nougat and also a better battery performance.
Our requests are as follows:
- White balance on videos.
- Scene settings (night, sunset…) in auto mode – it could help those who aren’t familiar with manual mode.
- Flash mode for the front camera – the screen should flash while taking a picture.
- Ability to pause a video and keep on recording afterwards.
- Slow motion with sound, and the ability to pick up what part you want it to be played on slow motion.
- Speed settings in Time-lapse.
- While activating the camera with a shortcut on a predefined button, it should directly shoot a picture.
- Ability to choose megapixel values on the camera app.
- Camera improvements in general, such as stabilization.
- Battery percentage inside a circle.
- Ability to choose clock position on the statusbar.
- Ability to use custom accent colours.
- Quick Settings Tiles panel should be pure black (turned off pixels), instead of grey.
- Add SIM toggle to the quick setting tiles again (it was present on Android 6.0)
- Advanced deep cleaning apps button - as we had in previous oxygen versions on Recents menu.
- More options regarding sound modes – improve alert slider options. (Perhaps add also vibration strength levels)
- Shelf improvements – more personalization, also regarding the Launcher in general.
- Activate / Deactivate mobile data on one single tap.
- Incorporate the possibility to disallow the device's powering off while being locked, somehow – increase security in some way so that it could prevent unwanted people to
perform a full wipe. Perhaps OnePlus could find a nice way to implement this idea.
- Ability to turn off notification sounds while the screen is on.
- Split volume panels.
- Ability to enable data traffic parameters on the statusbar.
- Option to either use app drawer or not.
- Add unread notifications counter on the application icons.
- Ability to set a Schedule for the Night Mode.
- Being able to choose which apps are allowed to turn on the screen in ambient display mode.
- Ability to disable the charging led.
Please, take into consideration our requests in order to make improve the community and every user experience.
Kind regards.
Cool! If we are more people, they will pay us more attention

Cool bro. Great idea u are the man.
agree with everything:good:
I think this should be on oneplus forums rather than here
where they will atleast notice it
Or there is a Google doc they are asking customers to fill for any changes In UI.,can be filled in that too
I agree all the ideas are very good but I don't think oneplus will visit xda for these specific requests
We need 1080p, 720p video OIS too
