Hi and thanks - Introductions

Hi all,
I came across here, as I had lot of struggle to make some oldtime mobiles "compatible" with my children.
So basic topic is making androids children safe and re-use old, unsupported devices like S4, S5, S7 with LineageOS.
I want to take the chance to thank everyone, who has already contributed here, read already a lot of stuff and got some helpfull hints.
Best regards
QD

Hello

Hi there,
I'm Nils and I'm frpm Germany. I like to learn new stuff and right now I'm also quite confused about all the new phones out there so I hope to get help finding a new device for myself since my 3year old nokia 7plus is dying.
Have a nice day.
Hallo Nils, wilcomen to XDA!
Sure youll find good advices and stuff for your new device.
Chus!
Welcome to XDA.
You might want to get a used device running on Pie. A lot of needless and detrimental app restrictions on Q and above.

Hello there :)

Hey from Germany!
Newish Android developer here I guess.
Long time reader of the forums but never got around to making an account. A few years ago I was very into rooting and custom roms and this forum was really helpful!
Over the past few years I looked into Android Develeopment every now and then but I never produced anything serious. But now I made an app that I think could be useful for some people and I want to share! It's for the new Galaxy Watch 4. Installation is a bit technical because of restrictions of the Watch UI so I figured I could make a post about it here (coming soon)
All the best and stay safe!

Hello and welcome aboard!

Intro About Myself

Hi Everyone!
I am Justine. I liked to research and review gadgets, and I love to repair smartphones whether it is a software or hardware problem.
Basically, I love to modify Android by watching and reading tutorials. However, I stopped experimenting in 2018.
Right now, I am trying to cope up with the new technologies that can be used to modify Android.
Thankful to be here in XDA.
Stay safe everyone!

Hey Justine, welcome aboard!

Hello everyone one! / Olá a todos!

I'm from Brazil, meet the forum a couple mounts ago and I really like how complete and organized the things are around here. I wanted to thank everyone who contributed somehow making this forum so great and accessible to many people with every types of devices that you couldn't even imagine that it have custom roms, recovery and stuffs.
I really appreciate the opportunity to be here with you all. Thank you!

hey there! It´s just me, a curious girl, who likes to learn new stuff

yooo. I love nerdy forums, that's one reason why I joined you guys.
But I also read a lot in this forum last week and found some really good resources for topics of my interest (custom rom for smartphones basically).
I'm pretty much a noob if it comes to tech in general but I'm on my way to learn to understand (and manipulate hehe) the stuff around me in order to gain more control instead of beeing controlled.
happy to be with you all now
Welcome to XDA forum. Hope you enjoy be in here!
