when will xiaomi mi5 pro be released?

The title says it all is there a specific date
in china mi5 pro is releasing on 6th april
And even then it will be limited release.
Thats the same day as the Huawei P9. Must be tactical.
I'm not sure if I like or think the Xiaomi tactic is of any good. Recently, I've read numerous articles about disappointing sales for their cellphones., and I can understand that. Lets take Redmi Note 3 as an example. Great phone and great value for money. They release it, and just a few weeks after they release the Pro version for more or less the same price, but now with superior CPU and expansion slot. As far as I know the Pro version wasn't communicated prior to the release of the standard version. Releasing the Mi5 in small chunks beginning at the entry version in one color doesn't add up to me. Beginning at the flagship would in my opining boost more hype around the phone and would probably convince more people to grab the flagship rather than the entry.

I guess Xiaomi Mi5 Pro will be sold out in 30 seconds
I thought Oneplus were bad for trying to get a phone but these lot are worse.

Oneplus 3 to Oneplus 3T upgrade availability

After all critics Oneplus has launched Oneplus 3T an upgraded version and discontinued the Oneplus 3. Why? and the answer remain mystery. Some rumors are rounding which state that "they" were not satisfied with the performance of Oneplus 3 or there was a defect in Oneplus 3 itself. However millions of devices has turned to be crap now which has turn their owners to be angry with the said OEM, but the time never stops and Oneplus has announced launch event for Oneplus 3T in India.
So, what you want, buy new Oneplus 3T, keep Oneplus 3 or an upgrade offer from Oneplus 3 to Oneplus 3T.............................................
OnePlus already announced that it will launch its flagship OnePlus 3T smartphone in India on December 2nd. Now it has sent out invites for the launch of the smartphone at an event in Delhi. “That’s not all, we have something special to announce this time!,” says the invite, hinting that it might announce something new for India.
Similar to popup events for the OnePlus 3 launch earlier this year, the company has announced pop-up events for the OnePlus 3T in several countries, including India. In India it is scheduled for December 2nd in Delhi, December 3rd in Bangalore and December 10th in Mumbai. You can check out more details such as venue and timings on the OnePlus website .
What could be the new thing that OnePlus plans to announce along with the OnePlus 3T? Will it be a new accessory? Plans for selling the phone on its own store, in addition to Amazon.in? We should know later.
Nougat update for Oneplus 3 is live!
The launch is schedule for today in Delhi

Android Q

Anyone working on this for the Note 9 yet?
If we look at past experiences with Samsung, Given that last year's Android Pie has not officially made it to the Note 8 yet (more than 7 months after official release) and given that Q is not even out yet, you can expect release about 7 or 8 months after the official release. If we go by the patterns of just about every previous Samsung device before, it will be available by February or March of next year.
Sent from my Pixel 3 XL
We just received official Pie... Q will be a long time.
I haven't even received pie yet, N960F RSA (unlocked)

Mi 9 global update

Is xiaomi ever going to update again the mi 9? I know xiaomi phones supposed to get updated every 3-4 months but i'ts been 7 months, should I lose faith?
Probably not gonna get another update. The phone was released in Feb 2019, so more than 3 years ago – it had 2 Android updates and 3 years security updates, because that was the old policy. Even more, there was no beta rom for MIUI13, not even for China version and the EEA phones got the last update 7 months ago, as you mentioned. Releasing a MIUI13 update must be bug free from the start for MI9, but again, stable MIUI13 for other phones are 7 months old. We are days away from MIUI13.5 and is already announced that MI10 (+ others) is not going to receive the weekly beta roms from 18.07.2022, so MI10 is also getting sidetracked.

Question Should I wait for OnePlus 11?

Hi folks, I've been a Xiaomi user for the past 5 years and I'm looking to change this because lately, all the Chinese variants of the devices lack essential bands needed in Europe. I used to buy Chinese variants, install miui.eu on them and enjoy paying less for them. Now that they've decided not to include Europe bands on them, I decided to come back to OnePlus. My last OnePlus was the 3.
What I'm curious about, is if it will be possible to do the same with OnePlus 11 and change from Chinese colouros to oxigenos and have a locked bootloader, like I have seen it's already possible on this device, and the 10T?
Thanks
Just stay on xiaomi or move pixel.
OnePlus is not giving us free tool to flash or fox our devices.
So most of people that tried that bricked their devices.
Go for xiaomi or wait next pixel
I do not think it's worth it.
Minimal differences compared to 10 pro.
It's kinda like a roll of the dice
OnePlus innovation has halted,
MSM Tool is behind a pay-wall,
OPPO dishing out C&D notices,
TWRP and ROM development essentially dead (largely due to no MSM)
OOS / ColourOS is atrocious
We have only just had a somewhat functional TWRP after a year
I would NEVER get another OnePlus (I have owned the 3T, 5, 6, 7Pro and 10 Pro)
I will likely move to a pixel device after.

Except for the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 which I'm after.
My options so far are:
Motorola x40
Nubia z50
Iqoo 11/11pro
Vivo x90 pro+
Redmagic 8
But none of them can run global version of the ROMs.
Xiaomi 13 pro is amazing and I can install the eu version or the ROM, but Chinese variant is missing band 20, so my option would be to wait for OnePlus 11

I'm in the exact same boat. I've had OnePlus for many years, started with the 7 Pro a long time ago. But this 10 Pro will be my last. That Cease and Desist topic is definitely the last straw for me, how can a company do such a 180 so quickly? From the best dev option to the worst in one major release.
Wish I would have got the 9 Pro instead when I was buying. But I'll keep the 10 Pro for a another year at least as it is a solid phone deapite the terrible company owning it now. Then I'll switch to Pixel most likely, seems Google has no intention of locking down Android, which is what it should have been all along.

Exactly how I feel. Before I felt completely safe developing with every other OP device.
I don't even want to compile a TWRP for this device as bricking is now permanent (unless I pay a third party)
It is a terrible thing

the 8T was the last phone Oneplus produced. OPPO bought oneplus after that.

OnePlus has always been owned by Oppo, who is owned by BBK. BBK successfully fooled the western world into thinking OnePlus was something different to grow their marketshare and now they're too big to give a crap so they removed the illusion of separate companies entirely and brought the OnePlus team directly under the Oppo team.

no it wasn't. it was started by two ex-oppo employees with oppo support, but was separately operated. one of the two co-founders left around the oneplus 5 period and the 8t was the last oneplus phone released before Carl Pei (the other co-founder) left. oppo fully absorbed oneplus afterwards

The fact that it was run as if it was a separate company doesn't change the fact that it never was actually a separate company.

you could also wait for ASUS to release their next ROG phone. It will also have SD 8 gen 2 and should be out around april since that last one was released around then with the gen 1.

It wasn't a separate company. Oppo has always been the parent company. Google OnePlus ownership and look. Results older than last year say Oppo is a subsidiary of BBK and the parent company of OnePlus.
Don't bother responding, I'm not going to engage in this argument any further about an irrelevant garbage Chinese company.
OnePlus doesn't worth even for 1 cent
F*ck OppoPlus !!
We must strongly boycott this fake OnePlus !!
Am using Android for years now. Started with a Xperia X8. Went then on Nexus 4 and 5. After that I bought my first OnePlus. I had the 3, 5T, 6, 7. Still I'm rocking the 8T. But I made a big big mistake on buying the 10T.. I will try to sell this..... This was the best company. Now it's gone. They vanished the software, they terminated all development for latest series, they gave damn green lines in endless screen models of the 8-9 series after the so called Oxygen OS 12 (ugly buggy MIUI-Color OS 12-CHEAP OEM style Color OS). Instead of turning their ugly OEM software into Oxygen OS, they did the opposite. Honestly buy whatever you want EXCEPT OPPOPLUS.
So weird, everyone seems to hate OnePlus now. Times sure have changed since I had my OnePlus 3 where development was amazing. Sad. I'll be skipping OnePlus base on your recommendations
