Non functioning SD Card - Realme C15 Questions & Answers

I'm running the latest firmware which is the c10 UI 2.0 Android 11 I root my device and I have TWRP installed. The problem that I'm facing is that my SD card is only readable by the system or any kind of file manager irregardless it cannot he deleted or written to at all no matter what I try or how I try. This is strange because everything on the card can be read properly by the phone and system and file manager. Any ideas what I'm facing?

[Q] SD card works but can not be opened by some apps. How can i fix it

I apologize if this has been thoroughly discussed here, but I can't seem to find much in my own searches.
I don't know what happened but yesterday after i restarted my N1, most of my apps on SD Card couldn't seemed anymore! Apps are on the list, on the desktop and on the apps settings (without original icon). But my system doesn't connect apps on my sd card.
My sd card is working correctly, no problem is there. System is seeing sd card, can be mounted/unmounted.
I've tried to restart (ofcourse),
I've tried to launch different launcher,
I've tried to flash CM again.
But nothing works
How can i fix it without wiping? I would wipe but the backup app (mybackup pro) gives an error "Unable to open database file". So i don' wanna wipe without backing up.
Interestingly, some apps on SD works, but it says it can not see SD card. For example, Go SMS app can backup sms to sd card. But it can not see sd card.
Please help me...
Note: I'm using CM 7.0.2.1 (default kernel 2.6.37.4)
I had a similar problem recently...what fixed it for me running CHKDSK. Try mounting your sd card, right click on its properties, then go to tools and then error-checking. I checked off both options and ran it. That seems to have fixed my issue, I guess a file was corrupt. Good luck
edit-This is using windows
SD Card was corrupted.
Hi again,
I understand that my SD card was corrupted. I ran chkdsk and it couldn't be completed. It gave an error. I formatted with SDFormatter. No bad sectors or damaged. Finally i had to reinstall all apps again. Not wiped rom.

Look for the card in /mnt/emmc
its there and not under EXT_sd
why has this changed and how can i make it work with es file manager which is better?
have the same issue on a SGS2. it don't see my 16Gig SD card in es-file explorer.
When i connect to my PC via usb and turn on USB storage both the 16Gig and 11gig storage locations are accessible. but on the device i have to use File Manger and navigate to /mnt/emmc to view the files.

As said previously, you still need to look under /mnt/emmc in ES file manager
CM7.1 is Android, not Samsung.

yeah, and to do that you need to change the mount point in settings to /
I started custom ROM from CM9, everything went fine except that in CWM it won't detect my external SD.

that's normal for CM9 (i had the same problem, don't worry your sdcard is fine) just install "Rescan SD Card!" from the playstore or anorher file manager. it only happens the first time you flash CM9.

[Q] SD card issues with new kitkat builds

Hi,
I have been using both stock, CM builds and other after market roms from my xperia x10 mini pro days. Now, I own an xperia mini pro and xperia z. I have installed various kitkat aftermarket roms on my xperia z. I installed the latest cm11, From here I could not change any contents on my SD card. Within the phone I cannot copy to or delete from the sd card. I tried all file managers including the ones with root permissions. I removed the sd card and tried direct copying. The fun is copying will be succesful. But once I unmount and remount the card, the contets wouldnt have changed. I try to format the card. It will get formatted but once I unmount and remount all the previous contents are intact. I the flashed back 4.3. There again the issue persisted.
I had the same issue with my xperia mini pro and cm11. Since then this is my second sd card(32 gb on mini pro and 64 gb on xperia z). I know there are certain issues with kitkat and sd cards. Can anybody please throw some light on resolving this issue. I am a rom hopper and I dont like to be cornered with these issues.
But strangely, I never had any issues with pabx's build.

You should ask in that specific thread of the rom you're using instead of here.
I think this is a generic issue
I think this is a generic issue. It eminates from the point that the majority of the after market roms are using bits from the CM project, Thanx for the reply. What I want to know here is does kitkat do anything to the sd card which cannot be washed away after even attempting a format?

Did you try to format the sd card with your pc? Does the pc even recognize it correctly?
If you have problems while on a stock rom, then I suggest that you backup your data, then format the SD card with the SD Association tool - https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
If possible, you should do this via a card reader/slot and not while it's in the phone.
If you still have problems, then your card may be faulty.

Yes, the format was tried on pc
The format operation was tried both on windows and Arch Gnu/Linux. I can add or delete a file. But after remount, the changes are gone. It is like I am having a write once DVD.
sorry for resurrecting this thread but has anyone found a way to fix the issue?
Just like the others, I encountered the problem after I downgraded from Kitkat to Jellybean. I have tried formatting my 64Gb Transcend micro SD card using various softwares. Some fail to format midway. Some indicate that it has been successfully formatted but upon checking, the contents are not removed.
Due to a policy change in Kitkat it is, for most apps, not allowed to change the content on the SD card. To fix this, root the device and install de SDFix from the play store.

Do I have to root it using Jellybean or Kitkat?

HTC One Mini 2 CARBON5.1.1: Micro SD Card

CARBON-5.1.1-UNOFFICIAL-20150910-0355 micro sd card. problem!!!
Hello everyone.
Installed this firmware. Everything works super. But the phone does not see micro SD card. A reboot does not solve the problem. Tried to remove and put back the card. There is no effect. In TWRP there is a map, with its installed firmware. Help! Don't want to change this firmware. The forum have not found the answer.
formatting the card did not solve the problem. Changing the filesystem did not help. When you install a different third-party firmware the problem remains. in TWRP there is a map and from there you can install the firmware, and in system it is not visible. But the phone responds to the release of the card. Requests to put back.
There are varieties how to fix the situation?

Me, too...
So i'm not alone with this. Same ROM, same problem. My SD card is accessible from recovery and the system notices when i unplug the card, but after reinserting it says "Checking card for errors" - for 30 hours until i rebooted.
Partitioning and reformatting didn't help. I tried ROM Manager app to partition it and also did so in my notebook. I tried FAT, ext2 and ext4 file systems on this 64GB Sandisk card - lo luck.
I would not like to go back to 5.0 where the SD card just worked. However this is a critical failure.
I think this is the same problem I had before. If you SD card is recognized in the stock ROM and not any AOSP based ROM means that your SD cards partition is set as logical and not as primary. Download MiniTool Partition Wizard and try formatting it from that setting the partition as primary
Tried that one already
Thanks for caring!
My previous ROM was cyanogen 12. The partitions on my card are already primary ones - i wouldn't set up logical partitions without primary ones.
Any other ideas?

Unfortunately not, but do confirm once again whether they are logical or not. There could be a bug in the build you are flashing, you try an older build and see.

[HELP] SD Card show's up as damaged after Xposed install / Uninstall not possible

I have an SD card that's set up as internal storage.
The Xposed Installer app complained about it's install location, so I moved it to the "real" internal storage and the warning was gone. Then I continued to install the Xposed framework.
After the required reboot a system notification popped up: SD card not found
It is still recognized by Android but reported as damaged under settings > storage.
The Apps that are located on the SD card are now missing and others now crash when trying access the phone's storage.
The Xposed Installer App also crashes when I try to download the uninstaller.
But I can still access the SD cards contents trough the Recovery system.
With the TWRP file browser I can happily navigate to /external_sd/media/0 and all my sd card content is still there!
What might have gone wrong here?
How can I uninstall Xposed to see if that helps?
