About this app:
Refresh Rate Mods
Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
-Quick settings shortcut
-tasker plugin support.
Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
-Tasker plugin support.
Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].
Motion smoothness on power saving mode ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]
Note: It's reported that this workaround is blocked and not working in OneUi5.0
Screen-off Mods:
Force to Lowest Hz: Force the lowest refresh rate on screen-off or Always-On Display(AOD). This overrides Samsung's strange stock behavior which sets the refresh rate to the highest on screen off (update: it is now at 60hz since OneUI3.0) to improve standby power consumption a bit.
-Tasker plugin support
Auto apply power saving mode during screen-off (after ~ 10 secs)***
Auto disable Autosync***
Quick-doze mod
-Quickly enter doze mode during screen-off that can not be interrupted by motion [premium].***
-Tasker plugin support
Auto SENSORS OFF (experimental non-root workaround)
-Device sensors will automatically turn off while screen is off until the device is unlocked to help minimize battery-draining motion-triggered wakelocks while device is not being used.
-Tasker plug-in support
Others
Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]
Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
-Tasker plugin support
Customizable refresh rate monitor
-Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
-Tasker plugin support.
Net speed statusbar indicator
OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection
Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).
***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)
Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .
Info: This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.

Wow, nice app. Can confirm that adaptive refresh rate saves a bit of battery life on S8+. But switching refresh rate on low brightness levels gives a noticeable 'jump' in shades of grey. Btw what will happen to premium if I factory reset the device?

v7.14.56 in-app update
- Bug fixes for Adaptive Mod on Galaxy Tab devices while on Dex Mode

Well, first of all thanks for this excellent app. Secondly, I don't know if the problem I'm having is completely related to galaxy max hz. But it's the only change I made on my tab s8+.
The issue is with Kodi (media player app) . It worked before tinkering the hz app. I mean I was able to set it up competently, but after enabling the adb setting for Galaxy max hz, Kodi opens and Force closes after a few seconds.
It might be related because kodi has problems with 120hz screens, but now, not even on standard mode kodi FC.
Any way to disable the setting on adb or any other thought?

Did you try clearing app data of Kodi?
The open it in standard mode?
WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS is automatically revoked once GMH is uninstalled.
You can also do it by ADB without uninstalling:
Code:
adb shell pm revoke com.tribalfs.gmh android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I cleared Kodi cache and tried with standard mode. I just unistalled Max Hz with no avail Kodi keeps FC even after a restart.
I'll try the adb command tomorrow, I'll report back if anything changes.

I mean clearing app data not just the cache. You might have some unintended setting change in Kodi that needs to be reset.
Since it's not working even with standard mode, it's probably not related to GMH.
It's also unlikely that it to do with WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS granted to GMH.

Well to be honest I don't really know what could be the exact problem. Un installing GMH didn't solve the problem with kodi FC. After that I uninstalled an reinstalled kodi and it doesn't force close anymore. Which could be the same as clearing data as you recommended, but in any case the set up I usually do with kodi is nothing out of the ordinary nor it involves tweaking resolutions or refresh rates.
As for now I think I won't use GMH, a shame indeed IMO it has a lot of potential.

@tribalfs Hi, I have updated the app to Beta 8.
Noted that the new quick tile for Protect Battery Mod is misaligned on my Tab S8+.
Maybe you can look into it. Thank you.

[Android 2.3.3+, ROOT, SGS2/3, N.E.A.K Kernel] NEAK Configurator Pro App V3.3

NEAK Configurator Pro - NEAK kernel control at your fingertips.
By: NRK_2K & Simone201
** Please note: This app is only for the Samsung Galaxy SII & SIII, running on the NEAK GB or ICS Kernels (this can be used with earlier kernels, but not all features will be supported) **
*** ROOT & BUSYBOX Required for operation of this app ***
This thread serves to provide information on what the app does, how to use it, and offer a place for users to suggest new features, report bugs, and general discussion around the app.
The NEAK Configurator Pro app extends the ability of the free app by adding in control of core phone hardware. Currently this app supports controlling CPU frequency (Max/Min), CPU Governor, I/O Scheduler, CPU Voltages (per frequency), GPU Frequency (Max/Min), GPU Voltages (per frequency), CPU hotplug control, and Charge Current Control. This is all on top of what the free app provides.
#### SET ON BOOT issues ####
If Set on Boot is not working. Check and make sure you have the /etc/init.d/ folder in your file system. If it is not there, then create it and the app will work fine. There is something stopping the app from creating this folder.

** Please note: The Lagfree Governor has been removed from the kernel and the latest version of this app
App Usage:
The app is pretty easy to use. For the check boxes, just check the option you want and click on apply. For the Sliders, slide to the desired setting, and click apply. To set the options on that tab on boot, select "Set on boot" then click apply. To verify that setting will be set on boot, you can either close the app and reopen, and check if "set on boot" is still checked, or check for the corresponding script in the init.d folder.
The sole purpose of this app is to improve the usability of this kernel, and the features it provides. We will listen to all suggestions and implement what we can as this app is about providing the best for the end user, and providing a means for the users to help support our work. Our aim is to bring the best out of our devices and share this with the community.

awessssssssssome
you are my hero
Good app, no documentation though, but can figure it out easily enough by tinkering. Would have liked to have seen a bit of love in the app since the kernel kicks ass.
But what does screen control do? Is it auto brightness related? Googling can't find anything.
I changed the settings up and down a bit and nothing seemed to happen, even toggled autobrightness off and on. Explanation of the values please?
Min Gamma, Max Gamma min and max brightness values, not a range I recognize or are they 1.xx ??
Then what's Min_BL? Backlight? Amoled doesn't really have a backlight as such.
Sorta tweaking it now and somethings happening, would be nice to know so it's not mucking about with it until I start to get results. Good purchase though, keep it coming

Hi,
Screen control is still very basic (and only really in beta at the moment). Simone and I are working on better controls in that section. The max and min Gamma levels control the "white" level for the screen, so if you lower the max it will make the whites less bright, even at the highest brightness level (it will also darken all the other colours, just not to the same level). The min_bl value lets you specify the minimum "backlight" level (effectively how dark the screen will go at the minimum brightness setting).
Documentation will come eventually for the app, but as I only do this in my spare time I can only get so much done, and at the moment adding as much functionality to the app is the biggest priority (as this is what existing users of the app have requested). This forum page was created for users to ask questions in regards to operation etc of the app, as it is much easier to answer a question here than to add help pages into an app (on top of extra functionality). So feel free to post questions here regarding the app, and either Simone or I will answer your questions. The app will continue to get better as we go along
Hope this helps your situation
Excellent thanks for that. I think taming the screen brightness is going to have quite a big impact on power savings for many.
set brightness for buttons
I user bln to be notified by the touchkey lights if any notification comes in.
Unfortunately the button lights are not very bright. So I really would appreciate an option to set brightness of buttons.
Will it be possible to create an option for this. I read that SiyahKernel has this option, but i like neak more

What about the charging current. Looking on the screenshots there is 450 or 650mA but the S3 for shure has much more charging current than 650mA. This belongs to the S2 but not the S3.
Do you have any information about the charging currents of the S3 and what would happen, if you use these settings on the S3? Is the charging current reduced when set to 650mA or is this not a mA value but only a bit telling the rom to use low or high current loading?
i cant activate sched_mc etc. is this kernel related?

Yes, charging interface is different for S3. It allows 400mA to 1200mA in 25mA steps. I haven't had time to upload new screen shots or more info about the S3 interfaces. But they are updated to the hardware of the S3.

Hey nrk_2k,
Just letting you know that I have upgraded to the newest version of Configurator Pro. No faults with the apps functionality, however the App Icon is only visible as a green and white system file icon. The one with the little green android man on it.
It still works but the old N.E.A.K. icon has now changed.
Cache has been wiped.
Permissions have been set.
Many thanks for the newest update. :good:

[App][Root][1.2] P2oggle: Program the Lenovo P2's hardware switch

P2oggle
The Lenovo P2 features a somewhat unusual hardware switch (referred to by Lenovo as the "one-key power saver"). On the stock ROM this switch toggles a battery saving mode but in aftermarket development it has remained unused - until now. P2oggle (pronounced "P-Toggle") is an app which enables this switch and allows you to assign toggleable "actions" to it.
DOWNLOAD(v1.2)
Currently, available actions include:
Flashlight
Silent mode
Battery saver
Aeroplane mode
Wi-Fi
Mobile data
Bluetooth
NFC
Location
Silent
Vibrate
Priority only
Alarms only
Total silence
Play/pause
Caffeine
Dictaphone
Actions can be configured separately for when the screen is on or off. If you have suggestions for any you think would be useful, please make them below and I will be happy to add them.
Additionally you can configure P2oggle to broadcast switch events for other apps.
Requirements
Since the Android input stack more or less ignores the existence of hardware switches, P2oggle uses the kernel's input event interface (evdev) directly. It therefore requires a rooted device. You will need a superuser binary that includes supolicy and BusyBox, e.g. Magisk.
The service that listens for switch input consumes minimal resources: in my testing battery usage has never risen above 0% with memory consumption averaging about 25 MB, depending on the actions selected.
P2oggle is compatible with the stock ROM and should work with all custom ROMs and kernels. I wrote it for the P2a42 (global variant) but it should also be fully compatible with the P2c72 (domestic variant). If it works for you please let me know.
If you are on stock you will probably want to disable the power saver mode from being bound to the switch in order to use P2oggle properly. You can do that by running su -c pm hide com.lenovo.powersetting in a terminal emulator or adb shell. Replace hide with unhide to reverse.
P2oggle is released under the Mozilla General Public License version 2.0. As always, please post any feedback/suggestions/bug reports below, or open an issue on GitHub if you prefer.

Oh, oops. I meant to remove the device compatibility check prior to release as accurately determining the device across all possible setups is difficult and the check doesn't serve much purpose anyway - it's clear the app is device specific. Try now.
It keep asking root access even after switch on root access in magisk...i'm on AEX ROM
---------- Post added at 02:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:14 AM ----------
root access message gone after clearing data
1- run the app
2- go to magisk and give it access
3- clear data and re-open app
The app run perfectly right now i will report if anything show up
Thmank you i really find it good i mean gooooood
Awesome..
I almost forgot about this switch lol
Great initiative....
Everything is working perfectly...
Both screen on and screen off actions are working
Thanks for the development
WoW works Really Great...Thank you so much...Please try to map fr Wifi Hotspot also.
Nice work man !! ?
Awesome!
Can you add to еhe action toggle for maximizing screen brightness by switching on and off Outdoor mode in live display options?
This is awesome, thanks very much.
Wow. Nice work.
Its really nice to finally use the switch. I'm surprised it wasn't seized solid due to lack of use ?
It works very nice.
I'm using it to turn on the flash. Sometimes it happens that the system decects the up position of the switch as "off", so the flash turns on for a moment, then turns off and on again. After the first attemp, it works nice.
Maybe it's only that I've never used the switch, so I need to loosen it!!!
its awesome man
thank you very much
i am using it for flashlight when off-screen and silent switch for on-screen
hope rom developers merge it in advanced settings app

That certainly could be the result of a stiff switch. If it's still happening please run su -c getevent -lt /dev/input/event4 in a terminal emulator and toggle the switch a few times, then attach a screenshot here. That will print the raw input events directly from the switch.

Thanks for pointing this out - I actually didn't consider that the user could press back or tap out of that dialogue rather than press OK which closes the app. This is fixed and will be out in the next release.

Can you add to еhe action toggle for maximizing screen brightness by switching on and off Outdoor mode in live display options?

I don't believe toggling outdoor mode will be possible but I'll think about ROM-specific actions more generally.
I'm planning to also add a "Custom" action so you can trigger custom shell commands with the switch. That will probably be a little bit down the line though.
I've just realised that if you're still on stock you will probably want to disable the ultra power saver mode from being bound to the switch in order to use P2oggle properly. You can do that by running su -c pm hide com.lenovo.powersetting in a terminal emulator or adb shell. I'm only basing that off looking at my stock image so I can't guarantee there will be no side effects. Replace hide with unhide to reverse.

silent mode in settings is don't disturb ..
please change this to Ring/Vibrate mode if possible
IDK if, it's possible or not, but can you please add something like the Nova Launcher's "Custom activities" or "Custom Actions" to the toggle app. So that, it can trigger the activity/actions, whatever is assigned to it.
Btw, thanks for the really awesome app.

Good point, I didn't consider that that would be confusing. I actually intended this to mimic the "silent" option OnePlus's tri-state switch has but I misremembered how it works. Rather than using do not disturb's "total silence" it sets the ringer mode to silent and the media volume to zero. I will change the behaviour of silent mode to do this in the next release and also add an option for vibrate. Eventually, before the list of actions gets too unwieldy, I would like to compress actions into categories (e.g. "ringer mode", "do not disturb") which are configurable. That will require a fairly large overhaul though.

I think this would be possible but to be honest I would prefer to only have actions which are technically "toggleable". Opening an activity is not something which is toggleable, which means an inconsistency arises: moving the switch up does something and moving it down does nothing. In other words, the switch stops behaving as switch and instead behaves as a button that needs to be manually reset. I could add it if enough people want it but to me it feels slightly wrong. Note that this would be possible, albeit in a less user-friendly way, with the custom shell command option mentioned earlier.
Oh, while I remember, has anyone got this working on the P2c72?
Hello,
thanks a lot for your efforts on getting a use for that switch!
My p2a42 (3GB of ram, 32GB of storage) is running the latest official LOS 16 nightly and the official LOS su zip, and your tool displays it as unsupported.
I have tried to use "su -c getinput -lt /dev/input/event4" with no luck, the command getinput is not there.
I guess that either the kernel or the root method that I'm using is not compatible.
Is there something I could do to get the official LOS supported?
Thanks!
Jk
PS: how about getting compatible with tasker scripts btw?
PPS: I used the getevent command instead and here is what I'm seeing:
when switch pushed to top:
/dev/input/event4: 0005 0013 00000001
/dev/input/event4: 0000 0000 00000000
when switch pushed to bottom:
/dev/input/event4: 0005 0013 00000000
/dev/input/event4: 0000 0000 00000000

At first glance I'm guessing that Lineage's su binary doesn't support SELinux patching. Use Magisk if you can. I've never used Tasker but it looks like it's possible to trigger Tasker tasks with broadcasts so it should be possible. And yeah, I meant getevent, thanks (should have checked before posting). Edited it now.

About this app:
Refresh Rate Mods
Change default refresh rates
-Easily change the overall refresh rate settings of devices supporting multiple refresh rates.
-Set supported mid refresh rates as the maximum refresh rate limit for battery savings (e.g. 96hz instead of 120Hz).
-Quick settings shortcut
-tasker plugin support.
Motion smoothness mode switcher(Normal, Adaptive or High)***
-Set you device motion smoothness mode to stationary refresh rates (high mode) for better smoothness if so desired on Samsung devices with native Adaptive motion smoothness with a little trade-off to the battery.
-Apply adaptive mod on device that don't natively support adaptive mode [premium]
-Tasker plugin support.
Per-app refresh rate settings:
Set different refresh rate settings for every app either adaptive or fixed(stationary) [premium].
Motion smoothness on power saving mode ***
-GMH will apply a workaround to bypass 60Hz limitation on Power Saving Mode (PSM) on supported Samsung smartphones.
-Automatically apply workaround when PSM is enabled [premium]
-Note: It's reported that this workaround is blocked in OneUi5.0 on S21 Ultra. Extra steps now required. Please check here and here
Screen-off Mods:
- Supports up to OneUI4.* only
Others
Battery protection mod (Experimental)
-Option to set maximum charge to 86%-95%(for OneUI4+)[premium]
Quick resolution switcher
-Easily switch to any supported resolutions using the included quick setting tile***
-Tasker plugin support
Customizable refresh rate monitor
-Use statusbar or overlay which you can place anywhere on screen.
-Tasker plugin support.
Net speed statusbar indicator
OneUI inspired UI. Dynamic theme and Icon. Manual language selection
Note: The premium license is on a per device basis (not per user).
***these marked features require a one-time ADB procedure (this is not root)
Galaxy Max Hz background service is highly optimized. Background battery usage p is very negligible .
Info:
This app targets older android sdk in order to control refresh rates without ADB setup or root. Just tap OK the dialog that says "This app was built for an older version of Android...." when opened for the first time. If OK button is not visible, just tap the blank space on the lowest portion of the dialog.
If google play protect will prompt during install that the app is built for older version of android and doesn't include the latest privacy protections, you can ignore it and proceed to the installation. For privacy related concern, please refer to FAQ No. 3.

It works on my S21. Although I can't tell if it forces 120hz or not. Some apps are still stuck on 60hz but I figure that's due to their code. Apps that support 120hz already have 120hz whether this app is installed or not. The refresh rate monitor works fine. The thing that overrides the idle refresh rate behavior does not work.
it does work when you change to hz but forcing it to stay at 120hz it just wont do it. i did the adb setup .

Does it set the motion smoothness setting to High in your settings app? There maybe changes in behavior. I'll include a fix for this in the next update.
Samsung says 10-120Hz?! App says 48-120Hz... why?

Yes it does. Also setting it to 96hz works. I can tell with my eye and I also have an FPS counter installed for a game that does 120hz. It gets locked at 96fps.

Also check FAQ#3 below, it might help.

FAQs:
The 96hz setting drops more regularly to 60hz than 120hz. Is this an expected behavior?
It's the stock behavior. It's probably because of the relatively larger gap of gamma curves between 120hz and 60hz than between 96hz and 60hz. Samsung needs to fine tune these gamma curves across different refresh rates so users perceive consistent brightness level when refresh rate switches. Otherwise, there will be visible flickers which our eyes are more sensitive when on a darker environment. Seems Samsung hasn't fined tune yet 120hz/60hz gamma for darker environment as 120hz switches to 60hz only on a certain higher level of brightness.Update: It seems Samsung has improved this behavior in its Nov 2020 update. This possibly the "Improved battery usage time" in its changelog.Reference android framework source codeRelevant article from Anandtech
What will happen if I uninstall this app?
The last set max freq will persist after uninstall. Set the max refresh rate to 120Hz first before uninstalling to keep stock refresh rate.
Why refresh rate stays at 60hz on google maps, waze and some other apps and games even if I set a higher max refresh rate?
These apps are either (1) blacklisted by the android system to not use high refresh rates due to compatibility reasons, (2) sets its own preferred refresh rate or (2) controlled by Samsung's game optimizing service (game launcher). GMH app can do nothing to override this on its end.
Why is it that we can't download this app in play store and how do we know it's safe?
This app targets older android sdk in order to set refresh rates without ADB or root requirement. Unfortunately, play store doesn't anymore allow us to publish app targeting such older sdk. If you doubt if it's safe, you can scan it with any virus scanner like virustotal and metadefender.
Can I hide persistent notification?
Yes. Just long press the notification in notification panel to hide specific notification channel.

Huh? Why does refresh rate matter if the screen is off?
Hi, I've been using this app so far and it seems to work well for me on my S21 Ultra . But the minimum referesh rate my phone goes down to when viewing static images is 60hz, and 48hz while viewing 24fps video.
Would it be possible to make the refresh rate go down to 10hz when viewing static images in a later update?
Thank you

It's not only the screen that's consuming power. Some components are still working behind it even the screen is off.
It will matter more also if you are using AOD.
I noticed though that Samsung somehow fixed the behavior in one ui 3.0/3.1 setting it now to 60hz( from previous 120hz) in N20 ultra.
But 48hz is should be better!

I don't suppose we have PPUI based on Android 13.
I installed this rom and found two annoying issues,
1. Charging is too slow, like I am using 5 watt charger
2. Navigation back button not working after sometimes, and then started working again by itself.
I flashed this rom with OFR but when I tried to switch to other rom it didn't let me switch, some of you may encounter same issue, recovery will show "unable to mount data"
For fix this, I switched to TWRP beta recovery and remove my password (pin, pattern) then go to recovery, and fix permission and change the internal storage format to extFat or any other settings, then I was able to mount data, to clean install other roms.
Hope you found this useful.
And 1 last thing.... On Netflix HDR is not enabled like other roms. Please add this in upcoming updates

No complaints about fast charging. I suggest using a proper battery meter to measure while plugged-in like "Ampere".

Netflix HDR is not available by default in R6P. PE is one of the ROMs that doesn't allow spoofing of such things. Though I have HDR enabled from my side as you'll be able to tell if you play HDR on YT.
Thanks for the feedback. Do report back with the charging issue along with screenshots from Ampere if possible.

Installed. Bugs with camera. Camera not included, download any other app (but Google Camera from Market crash every time).
Camera have only simple photo, video and frontal. Camera also cant shot with flash. The flash works, but the photo and flash do not shot at the same time and the flash effect is not visible in the photo.
I don't think the camera "works". Please, note in the header how exactly the camera "works".
Battery life is normal. My smartphone began to work much better, than on the stock firmware, but most likely due to a factory reset. In any case, it looks pretty than RUI 2.0.
Camera application freezes when video is stopped in FHD. When press pause it crashes.

thank you, this rom is good for me, of course not that perfect, but it is damn good, especially at saving my battery.
I tried my best to summary about this rom (current build). TL;DR!
- I don't know it is due to software or hardware. When i use 60hz refresh rate, scrolling is kinda "tearing" (maybe not the correct term), and not smooth compared by my previous phone (Poco F1) with 60hz screen.
45hz looks even better, of course it is not smooth due to its nature, but it is less "tearing". (Maybe this is due to my screen i mentioned at my last paragraph)
- Refresh Rate settings i set is 60hz minimum and maximum, but when i played Brawl Stars (at match, not the dashboard), the refresh rate reduced to 45hz, also 45 fps when i checked. I know this game can run at 60fps, because my previous phone
- I also tried Project Elixir Android 13, i really miss the sound profile/switcher button in quick settings. I don't know Android 13 is really trying to hide this button or not.
- I also miss my WiFi and Mobile Data button independently.
- In the battery saver settings should mention, about refresh rate that will be arranged to 60hz maximum.
- For me, this rom is really good saving my battery compared by Project Elixir (current build). Even in the standby state, it is about one and half better.
- Color style is presets now, compared by Android 12 that i able to fully customize the coloring.
- I hope i can hide the bottom bar of gesture navigation. Personally, the bar is unnecessary.

- Switch to other lens would stop the camera app (trCamera). I tried trCamera with config (a reply before me), and immediately close the app. I also tried without config, it is working until i turn on the wider lens at auxiliary settings. It was working when i tried Project Elixir rom.
Can someone enlighten me. i bought this phone recently and immediately switch to custom rom.
Is it because the screen have been replaced before? Both top and left offset are cutted by about 1 pixel, because i turned on "Show layout bounds" at developer settings, i really can't see both top and left border. I tried to screenshot and zoom out, of course it is there and because of this, the punch hole with the top / notification is not match of course.

try to clear the cashe and storage for the trcamera app then make sure you use the config (xml) file is installed and you see the 3 lens choices {shown in photo} and remember wide angle lens only works in non-HDR mode.

Extend your battery life - Smart debloat and optimize (works too on all S20, S21 and S22, except S22U).

***Works on ONE UI 4, 4.1 and 5 for all versions of s20, s21 and s22 (except for S22U)***
Due to some bad optimizations by Samsung , we are facing a lot of battery issues and a couple of random lags. With this script, I have got something between 7h and 9h of SOT.
In a few tests in Brasil, the users are getting a much better battery life. This script have some things like:
=> Removing items that can sometimes be undesirable according to the user, so you can select wich services will be disabled, such as bixby, AR camera features, microsoft apps, google apps (not the main like gmail and photos, but the secondary ones like bookmar provider, docs), ANT (there are people who don't even know what it is so this is usually useless here in Brazil).
=> Disable the Camera Light Sensor which is a bug on One UI 4.0 and 4.1, galaxy S have a light sensor to calculate the automatic brightness, however, since One UI 4.0 it ends up using the front camera for this, annihilating the screen time of the device. When camera light sensor are disbled, the device will properly use the dedicated light sensor and the automatic brightness be more responsive and battery friendly.
=> Enable the option to disable Ram Plus, where the 0GB option will appear in the options above 2GB, which you can disable if you want (Recomended only on ONE UI 4, because One UI5 comes with disable RAM Plus option available) .
Throughout the script, it will ask which item you want to be removed, so if you use DEX, just answer "n" when it asks if you want to remove it.
Resetting the device to factory defaults will completely reverse everything the script does, so it is not permanent and does not void your device's warranty. If you want, there are a Revert back script too.
The procedure is simple:
In your cellphone:
1 - Enable Developer options and USB Debug:
Go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information click on "build number" several times until it appears that developer mode is enabled.
2 - Now go to Settings > Developer Options and click enable right at the top of the page and look for the USB Debugging option and enable it too.
3 - Connect your phone to the computer and if a window appears asking for permission, grant it (you will be granting permission for your computer to access your phone in developer mode. If it doesn't appear now, no problem, this window may appear later when we run the script, but it usually appears right here.
On your PC:
4 - Download the script:
ONE UI 4.1+: Debloat and optimize Galaxy S20 S21 AND S22 except S22U v2
ONE UI 5: Debloat and optimize Galaxy S20 S21 AND S22 for ONE UI 5
5 - Extract it and run the "debloat and optimize" file (perhaps at that time the aforementioned window will appear on the cell phone asking for permission).
The script will guide you asking for all possible options which are 10:
Remove Microsoft apps?(You can reinstall the app later from the playstore)[Y/N]?
Remove Netflix?(You can reinstall the app later from playstore)[Y/N]?
Remove Facebook?(You can reinstall the app later from playstore)[Y/N]?
Remove Google Apps?(You can reinstall the app later from playstore)[Y/N]?
Remove DEX?(You will no longer have the DEX function)[Y/N]?
Remove ANT?(If you don't know what it is, you can remove it without fear)[Y/N]?
Remove Bixby?(You will still have the bixby routines, but no longer the voice assistant)[Y/N]?
Remove Augmented Reality Functions from Camera?(You will no longer have AR Sticker in Camera)[Y/N]?
Apply adaptive brightness correction? (by disabling the camera light sensor, improving auto brightness response and increasing battery life)[Y/N]?
Enable Ram Plus extra options? (enable options to increase or disable Ram Plus in Settings, Device and Battery Support, Memory) [Y/N]?
6 - When it finishes, the phone will restart. All options can somehow be reversed by downloading the apps from the Play Store again, except for DEX, Bixby and Sticker AR mode, but which can be reversed with another script that I'm still building or resetting your device to factory defaults.
Any doubt I will be available
My personal options are: ONE UI 4 - Y for all except dex (because I use dex, if you won't use, you can safe remove)
ONE UI 5: Y for all except Dex
After the script you can safe reinstall some apps back like Facebook and Google from Playstore, but now this will comes without Samsung bloatware.
Edit1: the link are updated to a new version fixing one hand mode
Edit2: release of a version to apply on ONE UI5.
and finaly the link to rollback the script: Rebloat ONE UI 4.1+ and 5 (works on ONE UI 5 too)
Hey,
I tried running the script as admin, but kept getting several "cannot find path specified" errors. it also was unable to bring up the detected device and firmware. I have a Japanese carrier S21 with the model number SC-51B running OneUI 4.1. Is there anything I could do to get this to work?
Thanks

Try run as non admin. Some users are reporting this issue when try run as admin.
When I run it as non admin, it enables the adb server but gets stuck on waiting for the phone.
Edit: It works now and I'm not too sure what I did to get it work lol
You should make it a Powershell script by default. I've been using .bat files in Powershell without issue for years.
You should mention it will uninstall Samsung Internet Browser. Unfortunately, was my default browser and i lost everything...
Thank you for this. Since the Android 13 OneUI 5 update, my standby battery life has been horrible. This did help a little and it definitely slimmed down on the software and excessive services which is even better.
Referencing what @bosaad21 stated, the script removed more than what was in the description. It removed quite a bit of the Samsung ware such as Internet, Samsung Accounts, etc on my phone, but I may have done something different and am not aware. Personally, I loved the fact that it stripped out so much stuff. I like a slim OS. I only have this phone because of BOGO.
For those of you wanting to try this, if you know what you are doing, you can modify the scripts that come with the download to prevent unintallation of specific items. However, like mentioned by OP most things can be reinstalled. This is a great option if you are starting fresh after a factory reset.
Is there anyway somebody could provide a more comprehensive list of what software is removed? I would really like to use the script and debloat, and I'm more than willing to part with some Samsung applications (like Samsung Internet, Samsung Pay, Samsung Pass, Samsung Free, Galaxy Store, etc.), but I am not on a factory reset device so I have some reservations. I do use things like Samsung Biometrics (fingerprint scanner) and Samsung Accounts as well as the default system's Phone, Contacts, and Voicemail apps, so I'm not sure I could part with them too hastily. Though I have made the switch to non-Samsung Browser, Email, SMS, Password Manager, File Manager, Keyboard, Notes, Music, and Gallery so I may be overthinking. I'd greatly appreciate any advice or more detailed information!

FINALLY! A script that's intuitive and fool-proof. Thank you very much. Phone is already snappier and cleaner. <thumbs up>
Thanks for this, dev It has worked a treat on my S21 5G
Hello my samsung galaxy s21 is one ui 5.1 can you use script ?
My s21 didn't have any debloat. Only the settings that I tested and adjusted myself are used there. SOT made 100% on WiFi. I think that it is still possible to squeeze out of it at least 10h and 30min SOT
#Edit: The refresh rate is set to "60Hz standard" + auto brightness at all times. The energy saving is turned on at the level of 30% (after about 2 months of using the phone since my last big changes in actuall configuration... I'm propably raise only ther value at 40%). Since I managed to master very high power consumption this device with the screen off - the phone for 10 hours lying on the cabinet and not even touched at all (had done 94% of the time in Deep Sleep mode) - For these 10 hours my S21 drained the battery about 20%! Now The current consumption in DS mode ranges from 0.4% / h to 0.7% / h.
And something unrealible happened in this equipment.... Which has such a small battery, relative to how much energy it consumes...
Warning! - Im started to charge S21 every two days and at this have 3-4h SOT.

Adaptive power saving I turned off. For me, this feature lived its life and eventually I stopped using it completely. I only set the rule to enable energy saving from 40%, and at night - from 23:00 to 5:00 in the morning.

Hi, I tried your script but I get "Not installed or already uninstalled!" for every app... Do you have an idea why it happens?
