Landing in dark side of Android - Introductions

Hi there!
Nice to meet you all, I used to read a lot of your threads, but now I've some questions so I'm joining the community. I hope to be able to answer a bit, later.
I'm a techno enthusiast, but what is even more important is to allow people to take back ownership of their devices, specially when they are not supported by their manufacturer. I hate wasting working devices just because there are not updates.
Of course, the conclusion is to look at the other side of Android ecosystem. I already revived 3 devices thanks to you guys!
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016)
Redmi Note 5
Huawei P9 Lite (2017)
and I hope this is not over
Feel free to contact me if you have any question on how I did, what are the caveats, I'd be happy to share some tips

Samsung Tablet Purchase Suggestions Wanted [FOUND]

I'm going to buy a tablet and am looking for suggestions. My requirements are:
>8"-10", or so
>Good to great screen
>Rootable
>Workable, if not "official" TWRP
Would be nice if it had a modding community that is currently active.
Probably Samsung, although other suggestions welcome.
I have rooted several other devices, so I don't foresee technical hurdles getting in the way.
Thank you wonderful xda members!
[UPDATE] Went with the S5e.

Good Morning

My name is Chike, I have actually been getting a great deal of help from this forum, but i decided to register today because of the issue I have with my Umidigi A5 pro. I love tinkering with my device, like I can't use an unrooted device, I have always been able to fix certain issues on my device and colleague's devices because of some of the knowledge I have gotten from here, and with respect to the technological know - how of android phones, it has made me become the proverbial, one - eyed man in the land of the blind.

Hello XDA Community!

Hello,
I was using an unofficial version of LineageOS on my very old Samsung phone for 2 years but return to a feature phone after a break. Nowadays, looking for a budget Android smartphone supports LineageOS or something similar for my daily needs. I'm a kind of noogler and used my Lineage without any Google service. Just rely on F-Droid and happy with this choice. Planning the same for my next device.
I'm working as a web developer for living.
Glad to be here.
Welcome to XDA!
Multiple threads about what kind of phone to buy next. I hope you find the advice you're looking for.
Welcome aboard serbestian!

Hello Everyone

Hello,
I discovered this forum with my first rom (/E/ for the Samsung J5 Pro 2017) Which I kept until now
I see that now the same person made the /E/ rom for my favorite phone of all time that I bought this week the OnePlus 7T Pro
I'll wait a bit before moving to this Rom because I'm not entirely confortable yet with everything, and I'm not an exepert in all of this
Thanks everyone for all the guides and everything else, it's truly amazing !
