Weird, you can eventually try to install software update is it is available. It might be soft issue. ON the other side, it can be hardware issues.

Have you tried searching for update in settings? Mine came with February security patch and a day later a got an oxygen os update that had a lot of bug fixes and March security patch.
If that doesn't help, re-lock the bootloader and contact the store you've bought it from. You have warranty on it.
Relocked the bootloader And still keeps on randomly rebooting

Hello everyone,
I received an OTA update last night for my phone for Android Lollipop. If I had known better, I wouldn't have updated it.
Since the update, my screen doesn't timeout or lock, it just restarts. If I press the power button to turn the screen off, it restarts. I can either shut the phone off completely or keep the screen on, which obviously kills the battery pretty quick.
I tried doing factory reset already, issue is still there. I tried wiping cache partition, same issue.
At this point, I would really like to downgrade to KitKat. Is that possible? And if so, how? I'm on a Vodafone UK contract. My phone is not unlocked.
Any other solution that might help. I don't know what else to do. Please help.

sounds like your phone is broken ..return it if it's Locked and never rooted
Finally fixed
In the end, I had to unlock the bootloader, root the phone and flash a customer ROM (Android Revolution). It worked! Now, I can finally switch my screen off without the phone restarting!
Thanks,
Rose

you also lost your warranty in the process. If it had not worked you would have been stuck paying for a repair
I'm happy it worked out for you
I recently acquired a Nexus 6 last month. Everything was fine until I got the new 5.1 update notification. I decided to let it download overnight.
The next morning I unlocked my device to find that I couldn't even do that, because pressing the numbers for the pin code did nothing!
Turning it off by holding the power button (the power off option on screen didn't work) only restarted the device. Restarting didn't fix the issue.
Please help! :crying:

USB debugging isn't on, so the toolkit wasn't able to identify my device.
How do I turn on usb debugging from a computer? The screen is completely unresponsive so I can't get past my lockscreen

I had a similar issues with my first Nexus 6 I bought. It worked find for a whole day and then one morning I wasn't able to unlock it and my touch screen wasn't working anymore. Did not flash anything on it-it was 100% stock. I have the feeling you may have the same problem. I am not sure 100% but you may need to contact Motorola for replacement.

So I managed to unlock bootloader and flash stock via fastboot mode and the device booted up after erasing was done.
The welcome screen appeared and the screen was still unresponsive, I couldn't press anything
I'm worried Motorola's warranty won't cover my device since I bought it from Saudi and I'm currently living in Sudan.
I have an upcoming trip to Malaysia, I'm wondering if I should take it with me there and try to fix the issue.
Today I unlocked my bootloader of xt1068, and flashed stock 4.4 firmware without re locking the bootloader. everything worked fine until 5.0 update came up and I agreed to it. The last thing I saw it was installing update. But when I checked after a few minutes later, the screen was black, wont go into fastboot/recovery PC only recognizes it as qhsusb_bulk.
I am requesting your HELP to fix this, Please help me :crying:

OMG same here my post
Sometimes in January this year I tried to root the phone with magisk but after installation my phone started to freeze and seize. Then I was charging one morning it just suddenly went off and tried to reboot itself but it doesn't show the home screen just the power on animations then reboot. It does this for like 2 hours and then it went dead. Luckily it came back on after 5 days but still the same issue rebooting but won't come on and then after some hours it went off again. My system wasn't able to detect not even on device manager. Now today 25th of April it came on again but still the same problem I tried all I could but to no avail. Now it's dead again maybe until 2 months time before coming on again. Who can help me please?
Full wipe.
Flash RAW.
Please teach me how to go about that.

Hello,
My pixel 4a 5g started bootlooping suddenly. I can go into fastboot but I can't do anything since I am having locked bootloader. Is there a way to unlock bootloader without booting into android? Else is there any other way to solve the problem! I tired factory reset option inside Recovery and also flashed OTA update using side load option but it didn't helped.
Don't bother with fastboot if all you want to do is a factory reset. Boot to Recovery and do a factory reset from there.

I already tried that but no luck. Still its going to boot loop.
Any help!
This happened to my Son's 4a5g about 3 weeks ago now. It just happened out of nowhere and likewise the bootloader was locked so couldn't use the flash tool. It would look like it went through the factory reset but right as it was about to get to the welcome screen it would bootloop again. I reported it to Google but as I predicted they just suggested taking it in to a repair shop and with it being out of warranty it would be a lost cause. Somehow, he kept force-rebooting the phone over and over (unbeknownst to me) and one day he got it to boot and got to the setup screen. 3 weeks later it is still going as if nothing happened. So weird. I think something may still be wrong with it somewhere but first thing I did as soon as he got it set back up is to turn on OEM unlocking in settings.

Update: 8/5/26. The bootlooping got more frequent and I'm pretty sure it's dead now. *Sigh*
I used this website to correct the issue. worked great
