Redmi 9C won't turn on after stock rom flash error - Redmi 9C Questions & Answers

Hello, I downloaded the redmi 9c stock rom 12.0.10 and there was a flashing error
It was something like Preloader flash error
Now it doesn't turn on anymore, when I hold down the power button and connect it to the computer it recognizes it but disconnects after a few seconds (like 15 seconds or more)
I would appreciate any help, since the cell phone is not mine, it belongs to my brother xd

-download this official rom https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/angelica/stable/V12.0.21.0.QCRMIXM/
and adb platform tools https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
-extract the content of the rom into the platform tools folder then open cmd.
-boot into fastboot using power and vol down button, then in cmd enter "fastboot devices" you must see your device connected.
-execute flash_all.bat in cmd to flash everything
-done

but I tell you that the cell phone does not turn on, when it is connected it only sounds as if it was connected but it does not appear anywhere, included in fastboot or adb.

[Q] htc one mini 2 root

hi all
have been searching the threads and i was hoping someone would be kind enough to post an all-inclusive list of steps to rooting my htc one mini 2 with kitkat 4.2.2. thank you so much.
Your bootloader is already unlocked ?
no, i'm starting from scratch, but i know that's one of the steps.

This has been said like 1000 times but here it goes again.
1. go to www.htc.com/dev create an account and follow steps to unlock Bootloader.(use any other device) This will factory reset your phone.
2. Install TWRP Recovery & SuperSU
Download TWRP
Download Super user
Download Fastboot Tools and extract to Fastboot folder
Power off your device and then boot it into HBOOT/ Bootloader mode by pressing simultaneously Volume Up and Power. When the screen powers on you can release the buttons.
Select FASTBOOT option and confirm. This will change HBOOT into FASTBOOT USB.
Now you have to use the USB cable and connect your HTC One mini 2 to your computer. All the USB drivers must be installed for your device.
Go to ‘Fastboot’ folder on your PC. Press and Hold the ‘SHIFT’ button on your keyboard and, at the same time, right-click on the folder’s white space. Select ‘open command window here’ and wait for the Windows Command Prompt window to load.
Enter the following command line in CMD: fastboot devices
Your device should be recognized and you can continue to the next step. If it isn’t recognised then you should re-install all the USB Drivers for your device.
Next, enter the following command line in CMD in order to flash the TWRP Recovery files: fastboot flash recovery memul-stock-recovery-2.16.401.1
When the TWRP Recovery file is successfully installed, CMD will display a confirmation message. Disconnect the device from computer now.
Use the Volume buttons to select ‘HBOOT’ option on your smartphone and select it by pressing Power.
Test to see if the RECOVERY mode works by selecting the ‘RECOVERY’ option. Your phone should boot into TWRP Recovery mode now and this means that the install has been successfully completed.
Select ‘Reboot’ from the TWRP Recovery options and wait until your phone boots into normal mode.
TWRP should ask if you want to root. choose yes. If not send Super user file to your device and use TWRP to install.
USB drivers for your phone must be installed on a computer. You can grab them from the official website of the company that made the phone. Get the latest: from HTC website
thank you so much! sorry to make you repeat it, i sifted through these threads and couldn't find a comprehensive list. it's much appreciated!

xiaomi.eu 7.8.13.0 (MAACNDB)

so i bought a phone via a reseller and it came with the above miui version and lots of bloat ware that i cant remove. Some of the bloat ware doing funny things as well.
How do i go about flashing back to a original global or china version?
Dear,
You need to follow the below in order:
1- Apply for unlock Bootloader.
2- Once you unlocked the BL then.
3- Download the latest fastboot image for your device (Not Flashable ROM).
4- Download MiFlash Tool.
5- Enable USB Debugging.
6- Boot your device on Fastboot.
7- Put the whole downloaded package on the Desktop.
8- Extract the package using "7-Zip Software".
9- Open the MiFlash Tool.
10- Select browse and select image.
11- Select Advance option which is the "Browse Arrow".
12- Select Flash_All.
13- Click on Flash.
14- Done.
Thanks.
I suspect the bootloader be unlocked already, since the reseller managed to flash a non-official ROM. Try entering fastboot mode (boot the phone while holding down the volume-down button); if you see a Mi Bunny, you'll be able to fastboot flash immediately. Follow the above poster's instructions after that.
If you don't know how to fastboot flash, you can google around for some guides. Also, you can find all of Xiaomi's fastboot ROMs here. Scroll down and pick your poison

This is not true. Resellers can flash roms on locked bootloader devices (with EDL mode) and fastboot is accessible with locked bootloader too (just cannot flash roms with it).
He has to flash an official rom with edl mode or official recovery (mi pc suite) and he doesn't even need to unlock the device.
Follow these instructions:
1. Download and install miflash: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7JS5kbVejxxUE9DNGpIOVhFWUU
2. Download and extract Mi5 EDL zip: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7JS5kbVejxxVGJIengtUTJFVEE
3. Turn off your phone
4. Press volume down and power button for 5 sec (you're gonna see a bunny pic and a fastboot text)
5. Connect phone to pc with usb cable
6. Wait few sec for drivers
7. Open Mi5 EDL.cmd (from Mi5 EDL zip)
8. Fastboot text should disappear (if not, then something is wrong)
9. Download and extract china dev rom: http://bigota.d.miui.com/6.6.30/gemini_images_6.6.30_20160523.0000.23_6.0_cn_79be63012e.tgz (should be no space in the folder name where you extract this zip!!!)
You can find other official fastboot roms here: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
10. Open miflash, press refresh, should find your phone
11. Browse rom folder
12. Tick flash all at the right bottom corner
13. Press flash button and wait
14. After finish, the phone should reboot, if not, then hold power button for 10 sec
15, First boot takes very long, keep calm

Thank you a *lot* for these instructions, I was now able to get rid of these ads (and whatever was still on the device). The only thing that was missing for me was that I needed to manually install the qdloader-hs-usb-driver.
Three things I didn't really understand:
- what does this process do? Does it root the device or just flash a different ROM?
- why is going into the EDL mode necessary?
- when I additionally unlock the device: what do I gain?

MiFlash v2020.3.14.0 tools give errors in fastboot mode(Fastboot Update)!

Hi
I want to flash my Mi 9 Lite by MiFlash v2020.3.14.0 in fastboot mode(Fastboot Update).
My device is unlocked and unroot, I download the latest official tgz ROM and decompress it and run MiFlash and past the ROM address to the MiFlash tool, after refreshing my device is recognized , I click on flash button, but MiFlash tools show me "error:not catch checkpoint (\$fastboot -s.*lock).flash is not done"
Even by going to the configuration menu and removing the text "\$fastboot -s .* lock" from the checkpoint and OK it and then clicking on the flash, the program will quickly show the flash done and show flashing is success, but it is not actually flashed!!!
I have already installed Minimal ADB Fastboot v1.4.3 and device driver, developer options and usb debugging is on.
in CMD I run fastboot devices command and my device is recognized
I even installed TWRP recovery by adb commands
what's the solution?
Why MiFlash does not flash the official ROM and shows error?
How can I flash the official ROM(*.tgz file) in Fastboot?
thanks.

Probably you did something wrong trying to remove that text, you don't need to remove it if your bootloader is unlocked.
You can flash it directly using fastboot commands, or you can flash it through EDL mode too.

Thank you for your answer
My device bootloader is unlocked, I also saw and checked it. I did it both when it was text and when I deleted the text, but in fact nothing happened and my device did not flash and only remained in the same fastboot mode until I restarted it and it started normally.
I even tried the new version of Mi Flash Tool v20210226 and got the same result as before.
I downloaded 3 different versions for mi 9 lite from the official site, https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?guide=2, and as I explained, it was.
even I downloaded other regional Roms but the same result...
you said : You can flash it directly using fastboot commands, or you can flash it through EDL mode too.
How can I flash an official ROM with the *.tgz extension(in fastboot mode or other mode)?

Thank you for your answer
My device bootloader is unlocked, I also saw and checked it. I did it both when it was text and when I deleted the text, but in fact nothing happened and my device did not flash and only remained in the same fastboot mode until I restarted it and it started normally.
I even tried the new version of Mi Flash Tool v20210226 and got the same result as before.

Mm, Maybe you are trying to use the fastboot ROM through Mi Flash tool without firstly decompressing it?
You need to decompress first the tar.gz file, you will find inside all the image partitions, the scripts needed.
As you can see in the images in this thread, the files have to be accessible for the tool to can load them https://androidmtk.com/use-xiaomi-mi-flash-tool
This is the simplest way, using Mi Flash tool, you can use it in fastboot (if unlocked) or in EDL mode (no matter locked or not). Take care to not choose the option "relock" device if you don't want to do that.
For the fastboot commands you require to decompress the files and execute simply fastboot flashall -w this will format data and update your device. Sometimes this simple command doesn't work, then you can edit the flashall.bat file, line-by-line, to the scripts being executed.

You can flash through EDL mode the same way as it is in the guide you followed, the main difference is that you have to put your device in EDL mode to perform the operation.
As your device is unlocked you can put it in EDL mode without the need to disassemble the back cover, either using fastboot oem edl or from a device off, pressing both volume buttons at the same time that you connect to the PC, firstly open Windows device manager and check that it is listed as Qualcomm 9008-USB, you need to install this https://www.getdroidtips.com/download-qualcomm-qdloader-hs-usb-driver/
Rom should be unzipped on desktop. Not inside a faulder.... If you unzipped it inside faulder error will come up

The folder can be placed in any side, even I always have my tool installed in the main drive (C) and the Miui ROM in another partition (D) you have to suppress all the spaces in the names and lastly browse where the images' directory is, not inside but where it is the images directory and the scripts.
What about EDL, did you achieve to get it? Upload some screenshot, from the browser files and from the error you are getting, I'm sure it's easy to fix it, maybe you are missing something.

I tried everything and the same error was shown!
I did not try the EDL method because I am not a professional user and I want to use safe, common and easy methods.

Don't use "Clean all & Lock" at least till you solve it.
EDL method is simple to use if you have your bootloader unlocked (this is one of the reasons why you don't have to lock it right now).
To use the EDL method you just have to power off completely, then while you connect the device to the PC press both volume buttons.
Before install the Qualcomm 9008 USB drivers.

Well I want to help so I copied and paste Theo from the oneplus 10 pro group on telegram what i posted here i hope this tutorial might help you
I didn't make this tutorial so if this works join the group and thank @docnok63 i don't know if this is also his XDA name if so then you can thank him on XDA
With an unlocked bootloader, Fastboot Enhance allows you to flash stock OOS without relocking the bootloader like MSM. It can also be used to downgrade your OS without losing data. To use it, download it from Github and:
1) Put the phone in fastboot mode and connect to PC
2) Launch the Fastboot Enhance app and double-click your connected device
3) Click the “Reboot to Fastbootd” button
4) Once in fastbootd, click the Flash Payload.bin button. If you get a warning about cow files, ignore and hit the Yes button
5) Select the FULL OTA.zip of your choice (incremental patches not allowed.)
6) The app will extract the payload.bin from the full zip and begin flashing automatically. Do NOT touch your device or close the app during this time or you risk bricking your device
7) Once done flashing, you will get a “Operation completed” dialogue box. Hit Okay and then hit the “Reboot to System” button. Profit.

Hey are you still having problems? Do you have a windows device to troubleshoot with?
I know you had a Mac before.
What state is your phone currently in? Still unable to boot?
You can force your phone off by holding the power button and both volume keys for an extended period of time, the phone will vibrate when it does, from then just hold down and power until it powers on, it may take a few seconds but it'll land you on a black page with recovery as one of the options, once in recovery choose from the 3 language options, from here with the up and down vol keys and power you should be able to wipe your system and recovery your phone, you will lose the content but this should work.
The only other option is to boot to the bootloader then use fastboot commands to put the OS back, or use fastboot enhance.
