Hi. I am also thinking of buying this. Did you check the mic issue while recording? Many say it comes as muffled cz of low bitrate. Please check and let me know.

At least try to look in the Settings guys, and don't just say "not possible" if you don't know it.
It's only two steps deep in the Settings, annoyed me aswell.
Go to SETTINGS --> SYSTEM SETTINGS --> ON-OFF-BUTTON

It was not possible to set power button behavior until recent updates, I think it was added in version A18 from two months ago.

Is it possilbe to make the phone inaccessible?

I would like to bring my Kaiser to school, but "cellular phones" are not allowed. I got it approved as a PDA, but I would still like to make the dailer inaccessible during those hours just incase. It was good enough to hide the start menu shortcut, but the green hardware phone button still allows access to the dialer. Is there anyway to stop the dailer from coming up when pressing that green button? Maybe remap the button to go to something else? I don't want to turn the phone off because I still would like to use the internet, which is allowed. Odd rules, eh?
Have you tried ae button plus? I haven't tried it myself but i think it could be used to remap the green button.
http://ae.inc.ru/aebplus.php
It's not free though, but it's the only program i know of that can remap almost every hardware button.
Just remove the SIM card....

Is there a way to give vol up button the rights to turn on the phone? or at least just wake it up, my power button isnt broken but it is kinda stuck in the bottom, so now it requires much more pressure to make it work :c

you could use a custom kernel with double tap to wake or sweep to wake features but you'll still need to use the power button to power on the phone.

HTC One M7 Battery life test aggressive use
hi,
I just did a review on the HTC One M7 battery life, which i heard on youtube before purchasing the phone that it was not good, but found that it really holds up pretty well. Here's a video with the test details.
Is anyone else out there getting the same lifetime for the battery with this kind of use ?
thank you
Here's the video (just take the spaces out of the link):

Thanks for sharing but just to let you know that there are places more relevant to post this than in this thread (its off-topic here) If you want to discuss about battery life there is a thread for that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195079

Disable touch key lights?

I am not just missing it right? On my Verizon Note 5 I am not finding an option to turn off the touch key lights.

Aha! I did not know about this app, thank you much kind sir!
I use that app too. I wish there was a way to just dim them. They are too bright at night and having them come every time you touch the screen is annoying so I just turned them off.

On the AT&T model there is an option, assuming you are referring to the capacitive buttons. Seems like a silly thing to remove from carrier specific models.

I tend to just be in this mode most of the time. and when I'm just listening to music, I'll triple click (setting on) to greyscale for some extra power savings without disabling almost everything that U. Power Saving does.

Carriers and their ignorant choices.... On AT&T "Wallpaper" is its own separate heading under settings, which is honestly just stupid. I can think of no reason they should remove the option to disable the capacitive light timing.
Just turn on power saving mode in the settings under battery
look at my thread, I done a tutorial on how to do it.
There's an app you can called "Galaxy Button Lights", it'll disable them for you. I've been using it since Day 1 of my Note 5 without any issues and I know many others here use it as well.
It's pretty much the only way as mentioned on Page 1,
Hope this helps.

Touch key
It worked for me. Go to touch kry light and turn to always on. Then go to power save mode turn it on and then set to immediately. The lights should pop back know on.
International models are representative of Samsung's software that's clean and bloat free and if the setting to adjust keylight duration is not on those models than no other variant should have it. ATT software is cloneware .

Volume key defective

Hi, I wanted to ask if in your p9 the volume button wobbles
Yes, compared to the power button the volume button is a little loose but I don't think it's defective...

Thanks, I thought it was a problem only of my device :good:
The volume when you press the keys lowers normal or suddenly? I noticed this flaw, sometimes lowers and raises normally at other times just press and it also lowers too.
no one else noticed this bug?
Mine wobbles too, but power is more ridged.

So it is a problem of all!
And sometimes when you press the volume buttons it rises and falls abruptly?
I've tested five different devices in five different stores and all of them had nearly the same loose volume button. So I think it's a general "problem". This is not a good build quality for this price.
Abrupt volume rising generally appears when the phone was set to mute or vibration by the quick settings shortcut. As soon as you hit the volume button the volume jumps back to the level it was before the phone was muted.
My volume button doesn't wobble.
And it happens this problem? Of course I do not keep the buttons pressed. https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=neGc3-aMjss

Well, this looks definitely like a bug! That's not normal and has nothing to do with the feature I mentioned before.
Did someone with the loose volume key try to replace his phone on warranty?
Is this really a defect or do we have to live with it?

I have not asked for a replacement. I have the gray version, why?
The problem creates youtube, if you end app and delete data of the app the volume returns to work properly ...
Is normal
Mine is P9 gold and has also loose volume key . It is a normal behavior
I also have the loose volume button. (mine is EVA-L19)
I asked the store about the issue and they showed me a couple of devices. All of them have had the same button. Don't worry about it. My previous Honor 7 had the same issue.

Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro not turning on

I recently (just over a month ago) bought a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro and have had no issues with the phone until now. I had a couple of pop up notifications saying something about my phone being too low of a temperature. I thought I'd just reboot the phone to see if that fixes it. However, now it won't turn back on with only the MI logo appearing for a brief moment (probably less than a second) before turning back off. I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and if there was some sort of way I could fix it myself without voiding the manufacturer warranty (ideally). I've already emailed the manufacturer and the retailer I bought the phone off of and am awaiting a reply from them. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick response. However, when I tried that, the same thing happens as it would when I try to turn it on normally (the MI logo appears for a split second to only fade away or disappear instantaneously).

This is basically what happens when I hold the power button down or hold the power button down with the volume up button (flashing on and off once when just trying to turn it on normally).
May be group members of telegram can help you .. there are many people out there in telegram, install that telegram app on PC and discuss about your problem..

Try to connect the charger and after power on.
Or maybe the temperature sensor from inside of battery is damage ( it's reading show verry low temperature ) Try to warm little your phone and after power on.
