Question Unbrick bootloader and fix Bootloop on Edge 20 pro - Motorola Edge 20 Pro

My Edge 20 pro entered bootloop on M logo. Bootloader is locked and I can't enter Recovery. Tried to flash stock rom via fastboot but I get this error when flashing bootloader.img.
(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
(bootloader) Cancelling 'default.xml'
FAILED (remote failure)
Please help get this device unbricked. Either I should find way to unlock bootloader or way to flash Recovery. Any ideas ?

is there any way to unlock bootloader via fastboot without turning on OEM UNLOCK option in developer options as I can't boot device?

I can't enter Recovery mode from fastboot menu. Can i flash stock recovery.img via fastboot? Where can I download stock recovery.img?

[Q] TWRP fastboot boot problem

I have a VZW dev edition with unlocked bootloader and running 4.4.2. I would like to boot (not flash) into TWRP to install SuperSU so that I can keep the stock recovery installed, but I get this error in both mfastboot and the regular fastboot:
C:\platform-tools>fastboot boot twrp-2.6.3.1-ghost-4.4.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.844s]
booting...
(bootloader) Command restricted
FAILED (remote failure)
finished. total time: 0.953s
I'm running windows 8.1 and the unlocking process went without a problem.
It also doesn't work if I try: fastboot boot recovery twrp-2.6.3.1-ghost-4.4.img
Any ideas?
Thanks

your trying this the hard way. power down phone
hold volume - and power till you get into the bootloader and then hit volume - till you highlight recovery then hit volume + and presto your in recovery.
enjoy

Just flash TWRP, and you install root and SU and you're done. then reinstall stock recovery, seems like the simplest way to do it if what you tried is failing. Just don't forget you're rooted in case OTA comes your way.
The Moto X doesn't support booting just the recovery image like a Nexus device, unfortunately. All the posts I've read have indicated as such, yet to see anyone having successfully done so.
I'd do the same if I had a dev edition. I still don't understand why it doesn't support something so simple which should be available to any unlocked bootloader.
opps i did not understand what you was asking there is a simple way to do this.
Install TWRP with the mfastboot command then install SuperSU
then get the stock recovery img from the correct SBF zip and flash it also with the mfastboot command.
and presto root with stock recovery.

MOTO XT1079-Preflash Validation Error- HELP HELP HELP

I have a Moto G 2014 LTE XT1079 (Asian Model-Bought in India).
I do not have any OS installed.
I have unlocked the bootloader as on Fastboot screen it shows as Unlocked.
So i have downloaded the Stock Rom for Asian Model XT1079 which is required.
Whenever I try to flash it through Fastboot,
it gives me an error in 'fastboot flash partition gpt.bin' and also 'flashboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1'
The error given is (bootloader) Preflash Validation and just below that FLASH (remote failure).
I have been working on this for a period of 13 hours straight and have lost all hopes. It would really help if anyone can help in this. I have attached a photo of the files in the Firmware Folder.

[HELP] Trying to recover data from a soft-bricked XT068 with locked bootloader

So my mom's phone started bootlooping yesterday. I've tried a couple of things to recover the data already, but nothing seems to work.
It bootloops at the "Optimising apps" part after the boot animation, is there for a couple of minutes and then reboots and starts doing it again.
The bootloader is locked and USB debug is turned off, so I can't access adb. I can't just unlock the bootloader, because as I already said I don't want to lose the data in there.
The phone probably has the latest update there is available installed, so most likely it's at 6.0.1 I think? and I think it's region RETAILDSDS (she bought it in Spain and it does have dual SIM).
Things I've already tried:
Booting into the stock recovery and trying to use adb, but it doesn't recognize the device (predictably so)
Flashing a custom recovery, I can't seemingly do that without unlocking bootloader first
Flashing a stock 6.0 firmware without erasing user data, gives the following error in cmd when trying to flash the system partition:
Code:
"writing 'system'...
(bootloader) Invalid signed image
(bootloader) Preflash validation failed
FAILED (remote failure)"
and in the phone it says:
Code:
cmd: flash: system
version downgraded for system
Invalid PIV signed system image

Looks like the E5 forum handles E5+ too (their TWRP says for E5+) and I see your post there. I'm not familiar with your phone but did you try a factory reset? Another option might be to fastboot flash the boot.img from your model's firmware on lolinet - see here - which should restore your stock kernel. Either option will delete your personal data though but sometimes no other choice. See what they say over there & maybe post in the TWRP thread where OP looks to know his stuff.
I have the stock firmware but I keep getting invalid zip file. How do I fastboot flash the boot.img??

Make sure it's the correct official firmware version for your software channel &/or vendor. You need to unzip the firmware into a temp directory on a computer, then you'll see boot.img among many files, copy it into your fastboot folder, connect the phone (do a 'fastboot devices' to make sure it's working), then type 'fastboot flash boot boot.img' and when it's done reboot. Also try a factory reset first if you can.
