Vinyle skins for HD2

hey there friends,
I've been thinking of buying an HD2 for my wife as well. with scratching our names on the back out of consideration, we were thinking of getting a vinyl skin for our HD2s in order to make distinguishing between our phones ..
i just wanted to know if anybody here has been using gelaskins vinyl..http://www.gelaskins.com/catalog.php?DeviceID=103&CategoryID=56
or any other option..

Is it possible to open your cellphone with that on?

I think you stick on it in 3 parts, on above battery, one on the battery, and one below

yea, some of the skins showed the visible lines illustrating the three parts of the skin..

u can't find them in india i think but can be bought n shipped to india. shippping is just 5$$

You will probably never get a perfect fit with these. Its a good idea, but it will never look as good as the pics on the site. Just buy one of those tight fitting cases in different colors.

I have tried these with other phones before, the thing is they look nice when new but it only takes 1-2 months before the colors fade away and the corners to peel off. imho they are not worth 15-20$.

i've used decalgirl skin's vinyl for my PS3.. perfect fit n easy application/re-application. no fading till date(its abt 2 years old) but as phone will be kept on its back n keep rubbing the pouch while inserting taking out of it.. the fading might occur.

Have your wife's phone engraved, with something loveydovey, she'll love it

just bought some custom designed skins. im a sports enthusiast, so to no ones surprize I put my team's logo and everything on it. this was from zagg. had to pay a bit extra, but hoping it will look good. awaiting delivery. will post pics once I get it

where r u getting the skin from? if a website, pls post the link ..n do review it once u get it....

custom skin
I got it from the zagg website(US). go to ZAGGskins tab at the top, then hd2. can't post an url according to this.
could not find a substiture for the customs ones. it's a bit more than the ones you can get off ebay. will defo review it once I get it. i live in aus so might be a week before I get it.

Zaggskins didn't impress as much as gelaskins..
but still waiting for ur review..

[Q] Protective covers anywhere?

Has anyone found protective covers for the 4X anywhre?
I have only managed to find "socks" and holsters, but no form-fitting covers.
I realise it's still early days, but i would really like to protect my 4X.
I would really love something like a Powerskin for the 4X, but i doubt thats gonna happen...

I emailed SGP, asked if they were going to make cases for O4X. They said they have no plans for the meantime but will consider manufacturing if they see a demand.

Wouldn't it be hard to make a case for the 4x because of its design?

Check out nillkin hard case in ebay.

Jus bought from ebay.. the quality look good in picture, will reply on actual product received.

I'm thinking about buying that case as well considering its the only one u can buy that isn't a sleeve

Got my Nillkin case today and I like it alot, feels good in the hand. It actually feels better to hold than just the naked phone, and that's rare. For me at least.

Okay I'll do that. I took a few pictures of the front as well but they were too dark.

the mouse is cool. i swap mice all the time, so haven't had too much use with it.

Nice pics. Not with Tmo for coupon though..

Nice looks a little different from sprint one. Sprints has the whole back textured, the bottom is smooth and glossy, and the sides are a smooth matte.

I also have this one and yes it slides in/out pocket well.
Feels thin but will protect from drop/scratches and the gray color goes well with the Note's Titanium color.
So far it's maintaining it's shape and no scuff/scratches. It's a keeper for myself.
(just noticed it's $18.65 on amazon)

Oh good ****. They finally updated the site. (i work for tmo)
Those diamond cases are awesome. I used one on my s2 forever. The gray part is rubber, the white is plastic. One piece design similar to the Speck candyshell.

If you work at T-Mo...do you know if the 30% Foursquare thing still works? That's assuming these things exist in stores yet. I thought I saw someone say they used it a few days ago, but the only thing I can find are links to a promo from last year.

The slot for the pen looks like it has too much excessive free space but I guess that's because of the look.

I kinda like the look, no doubt it will protect the phone well. Next time I am in china I will look out for some.

They did make a S7 Edge case, its just not out yet its very tempting despite the $110 price tag. I was disappointed with the feel of TUMI's case, so this one might take its place.

I have been looking at the Dbrand for the s7 Edge but was concerned with added thickness etc. It look promising in your pics. Any chance I can get a side view shot just to see how much thickness the skin adds? That would help me decide so thanks in advance.

All vinyl skins are about the same thickness which is ~0.22mm from the couple that I just measured. The thickness is so minimal that you will not notice it at all.

I'd consider buying the Montblanc case if it was leather but I think it's plastic.
