Bricked Redmi 8 with locked bootloader - Xiaomi Redmi 8 Questions & Answers

I have a bricked Redmi 8. On startup, it shows the "system has been destroyed message". The phone only boots in fastboot, no recovery. A family member gave it to me. I do not know the xiaomi account to unlock the bootloader. When i try to flash back the rom, it shows me this:

Can anyone help me ?

service center is prolly your best bet. dont know what that person did, but somehow did a number on the phone. they killed the system, recovery, locked it, and dont know the mi account
sometimes when relocking the bootloader, it shows as system has been destroyed, did you try unlocking it? its a xiaomi bug for a long time

is there anyway possible to unlock the bootloader without the mi account? tried EDL mode but it just reboots back to the "system has been destroyed" screen.

i dont think so, re unlocking does also require the mi account. is the number verification lost?
there are other "shady" methods available (dongles etc) but i havent tried any of them. they fall within the phone stealing realm so yeah, thats always a gamble

i would like to try the shady methods, the device is bricked anyways so i have nothing to lose or damage

idk where youre from, but here in indo many unofficial service centers (run individually) can break through many account locks like these. sadly here, very few questions|proofs are required before the service
gl on your endeavor

I live in Romania. Service centers here often scam people, so I am curious to see if an individual can do the same thing.

ah, what i meant was a non affiliated service center. find a reputable business, usually road side or near something big (like a mall). a friend or family might have a recd so try asking them
usually account breaking is done for people who have little knowledge of how things work, like forgetting emails, pass, number etc

One problem: i am broke

Problems with touchscreen

Hey everyone, im having problems with my touchscreen, seems like its out of sync or could be broken, its like when im typing something on keyboard sometimes menu window pops up out of nowhere or if i press lets say on QWERTY keyboard letter "a" on text input box letter "z" appears :s ... even if i slide between homescreens sometimes my menu does pop up, i delivered my phone to waranty service they gave the phone back after 3days and all they did was reinstalled 2.1 i dont know what to do now :s im planning to send the device to waranty once again :/ or maybe i could repair this by myself somehow ? Couse warranty service guys did not find anything wrong with my device
Note: Reinstalling software, changing versions from 2.3 to 2.1 and calibrating screen dosnt help
Here's few screens of touch screen pointers:
RED - Where i actually slide
YELLOW - Where touch points leak

Sounds very much like your touchscreen is broken. Do a recovery backup, restore or install via KDZ an original rom, and take the phone to a service center, if it's under warranty. If not, maybe you can skip the backup part. Good luck.
had the same problem with my phone... it started very subtle but then got worse.. to the point where i couldn't unlock my phone anymore =( send it to warranty, they switched the touchscreen. just got it back today, working fine now. send it back and tell them your touchscreen is broken...
Thanks for response, unfortunetely thats exactly what i did, but they prolly couldnt find the problem, couse it starts only when u use phone a little, screen gets warmer, when its cold, no problem at all

Unknown phone call tried to access root

I received a phone call on my phone yesterday afternoon from the number +162599121 which tried to gain root access to something called data center on the phone. I didnt know what it was but I allowed it to pass through, though i did not pick the call.
Then when I got up this morning I saw this on the phone.

By any chance are these two related? Did some googling and found out that other people are also getting this but no one seems to know what it is. I'm from singapore running a rooted, but completely stock unbranded Samsung LSE ROM (Singapore CSC) and Speedmod kernel.
You are using 3g without any signal.. Amazing! Well never heard of this case that preconfig is requesting su permissions before at xda. It's a system file look at screenshot

Its pretty common to get 3G or even HSPA with zero bars here.
Anyway I found out that preconfig might have something to do with changing the CSC of the phone. Im already using a ROM with my region's CSC so there should not be a need for it. And I doubt samsung will try to change it in any way.

I have same mesage displaying ewery now and then, usualy I have to restart phone to make it dissapear. I dont remember to recive any strange phonecalls or anything, I did install app called rando about the same time this message start to show up, but I dont think it is connected.

I tried this already 3 times and now i dont touch anymore until i take it to the shop. I think also im only one, who got this problem.
Hello,
I've received a brand new phone ( Swisscom Switzerland) today, first time starting, after 1 minutes it starts to freeze without any parameters.
I needed to hold power and volume down to restart.
I think my problem is very similar to yours...
I Tried to make a full charge, factory reset, remove sim card, but still freeze after a few minutes.
Any advice ?
I'll bring back to the shop monday, very disapointed...
Regards,
MT
Hi, on androidhilfe I asked too, but no one except me had this.
Best way is to give it to the repair.

Not really, but if it works all is fine. Did you make also backup of your EFS folder? Orange is crap provider, you should get the network unlock code from them. There are also pay services in internet that can provide you the code for some $25
I have given once my S8000 to Orange to unlock it, it took them one month to understand that Simlock isn't same like Network lock, and it took another six weeks since sending it to their service to unlock it. Total amateurs.

Hard-Bricked OnePlus 3T – Managed to Install Successfully with MSM – But Black Screen After OnePlus Logo (Only Access to Fastboot)

Hello,
I've successfully managed to install OnePlus3T_28_A.86_191104_repack through MsmDownloadTool V4.0.71 where the Status of Communication is "Download Complete".

After this, when the phone boots, the OnePlus logo shows up for a little while – and after that, a black screen. I can only access fastboot – and that's about it. The phone is locked, etcetera, so I can't flash via adb/fastboot. When I try to access recovery mode through the fastboot menu, the screen becomes black too.
Worth mentioning I've also successfully installed through an older version of MSM before this. But same results. The version is the following OnePlus3T_28_A.23_161027 and the MsmDownloadTool V3.0.6.
What are the alternatives? Is it good game? If someone could pinpoint me what to do next would be glorious. The hard-brick guides seem to always point to the MSM way of things.
Thanks in advance!
Alright so I've been digging a bit deeper.
Stumbled upon a bunch of different YouTube videos that had similar solutions.
Most of them were squeezing, tapping and doing different motions onto the phone. Like pressing down the screen at different angles with some pressure, etc. Also from the back, the buttons to loosen them, etc. I'm sure I've missed some of the methods mentioned in the video.
However, the squeezing on the screen and the back actually made the phone go past the black OnePlus logo into the boot animation -- and I thought that was it. Apparently, it hung up half-way through.
The last method they mentioned was to put the phone in the freezer in a zipper bag and TRUTHFULLY it worked after being in there for 10 minutes. The phone booted up, went through the installation setup and it worked for a while... until it didn't.
Apparently, my battery does not charge and it's stuck at 0% all the time. Seems a bit suspect. Will dig further into it.
