Question Changing the Fonts - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Yes, I know this has probably been done to death but I just wanted some specific pointers.
I have been following the guide on: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/fonts-for-galaxy-s20-ultra-no-root-needed.4093615/
It seems to work - Installed the app and dropped the new font APKs in the folder and I was able to "install" the font and change it fine.
However, I would like to know if there's a way to install fonts I have on my PC at home, namely Roboto and Google Sans (among a few others).
I haven't downloaded the 2800 pack yet so don't know if they're in there but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Flashing Fonts

I'm having problems flashing fonts on my Thunderbolt. On my Eris and Incredible I could flash any font pack through CWM and Amon RA, respectively, but when I tried last night on my Bolt none of the fonts took. I made sure the font packs I flashed were edify fonts, but still no dice. One of my main reasons for rooting is because I hate the stock android font. Can someone please help me out with this? Thanks in advance
This is the link I got my fonts from in case anyone was wondering

I used to use these fonts, also, and could not get them to work now.......so I unzipped the file and pushed the 3 files to /system/fonts.....rebooted and I am good to go. By doing it that way, it does not matter if they are edify or amend.
Just use Font Changer, it's free AND it WORKS =P

That sounds awesome, but I don't know how to do that. I've been using font changer which is free on the market. I'd rather be able to flash them, because flashing things is great and it feeds the addiction, but this gets the job done
try typefresh on the market, only thing it does is back up and restore fonts... unfortunately requires AndExplorer to select fonts to restore but will back up all on its own... I actually like AndExplorer but use RootExplorer most of the time, AndExplorer has a more pleasing GUI however
i just used typefresh to install coconut-darkstar font (the most elegant font anywhere IMO) - worked great. was stuck at "rebooting..." after selecting the font so had to reboot manually but everything flashed fine. as posted earlier it required andexplorer but thats free in the market too.

font changer worked for me too, flashed a few different fonts to find one i liked. just do yourself a favor and hit reboot later when the app prompts you then reboot your phone via other means, the app's reboot function locked up my phone and had to pull the battery.
Anyone know what the default font for our phones are in case I want to go back?

[Q] [N2E] Help regarding overwriting system fonts on N2

I just got my Noot touch rooted following the guide on nookdev and installed certain apps via adb as well.
I would like to change one of my system font but seems using adb pull directly with a local font file to /system/font/ it is rejected as the destination is readonly.
I installed rootexplorer and try but still it said readonly and also notified me that the device is not 'properly' rooted.
I am a bit confused. Is there any thing I did wrong or missing?
Thanks a lot in advance.
I just discard a new thread because found this one.
I hope that find a way to change the font on a rooted N2E. I want to apply what is written here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19889207&postcount=3

[Q] Live Wallpapers unavailable Simplicity 1.5 & TW 4.5

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I recently installed Simplicity 1.5 (JVT odexed) on my phone, and also touchwiz 4.5. However, I cannot access live wallpapers at all. Now I know Simplicity rom doesn't include them as default, so I used the add on creator to put in the livewallpaperpicker.apk & .odex via cwm but still no joy (it appeared to unpack the files but I can't add a wallpaper - they either forceclose or say the option isn't available). I then tried pushing both files into the system/app folder on my phone, which it has done successfully, but even after a reboot - still no live wallpapers.
I'm not sure if it's TW4.5 that's causing the problem or simplicity, but I think it may be the former. I've checked in the system/app folder and both files are there, but trying to install the apk via my phone just results in the 'not installed' message. Any assistance would be kindly appreciated.
Thanks!
Well I've removed touchwiz 4.5 and still am not able to install live wallpapers, so it must be something to do with simplicity rom I guess. It's a shame, because it seems to be a really nice rom, and I know from reading the developers thread that other people appeared to have been able to install the live wallpapers via the add on creator so not really sure what I'm doing wrong...
Update: Well installing all of the missing files from Simplicity (linked here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18268152&postcount=1695) seems to have sorted out the problem. The CWM mentions something about permissions when installing - you don't get that message using the stand alone add on creator created zip so I guess it could be something to do with that. I purposefully didn't go this route because the only thing I wanted to install was the live wallpapers, but hopefully I should just be able to delete the other apps that I don't need.
Thanks for everyone who read, I'm posting my solution in case anyone else stumbles across this problem.
yeh had the same problem with the latest 2.1.0, worked a treat after restoring the missing apps. cheers
I have the same problem.I cant see the live wallpapers menu.
I downloaded the zip file from the link above that contains all the removed apps but it didnt work.
What should I do? I installed the visulizationwallpapers.apk but didnt fix the problem.
The other .odex file cant run.
Any ideas?

For deleting unwanted apps just open the zip file, navigate to /system/app and wipe out all apks/odex files you don't need.
CWM Recovery have an option to fix permissions - give it a try
Are you using 1.5 or 2.1? Let me know if this works for you.

[FONT] Roboto Font from ICS [Download]

Got the Roboto font and its slick! I uploaded it to my dropbox for your enjoyment!
Note: I got this online not myself I take no credit. I only uploaded it.
http://db.tt/bTJM9zRA
To install:
Download file on your phone. Once complete open Root Explorer and navigate to /sdcard/downloads and long press on the zip you just downloaded. Choose to extract all to /sdcard/extracted
If you don't already have the app download Font Changer from the market (free). Once downloaded navigate in Root Explorer to /sdcard/extracted and copy both Roboto font files. Paste them in /sdcard/.fontchanger. Now open up font changer and apply Roboto font!
This worked awesome. Never had done it before and your instructions were easy. Thanks again.
Sent from my BAMF'd Forever Thunderbolt
Anyway to make the font slightly smaller? The default size is kinda big.
Other Method
I found it easier to just download Font Installer from the Market and then select Roboto from the list. Only minor issue was my phone seemed to freeze when I pressed yes to reboot, waited several minutes, did a battery pull, and then everything worked fine. I really like this font!

Yeah mine did the same thing and i did the pull and all seems to be working.
I love this font!! looks great!!
One other way, if you have ROM Toolbox...
Under Theme Settings-->System Fonts. It's at the bottom of the list. Just install from there and reboot.
I didn't have any problems with a slow reboot or anything.
I like how clean and legible this font is...very happy I installed it! Thanks!
Domo arigato for Mr. Roboto....domo...Domo.

it depends. if you want, you can use this to change the font on your SMS app, eg go sms or chomp sms. you can also use this font in your eBook app eg Aldiko ...
you cant change the whole system font without rooting though. it would be like... i dont know, installing anything on windows guest mode? thats what root does, take you out of guest mode... or something like that
Links dead, can you post it please? Thank you. x

Alternate fonts without root,is it possible?

Hi,so i know on older Android versions it was not possible to change the fonts without root. But i am now wondering if there is not perhaps a way on Android 10 because i remember seeing a fonts folder somewhere in the settings menu. I think it was under display or in developer options, buth there is just one font listed and i would like to know if we cant somehow add others without root?
