Question Battery drain and actual battery of Redmi Note 10 Pro/Max MIUI13 v13.0.3.0 - Redmi Note 10 Pro

Hi, I have purchased a new Redmi note 10 pro but the battery seems to be draining relatively fast. I am on MiUi 13.0.3.0 update. There are some screenshots attached of the battery page. Also I was able to find the Actual Battery Capacity: 4997 mah. Can anyone please confirm that this is normal or not?

What is the over night battery drain percentage? And how much screen on time do you get in one full charge (100%-0%).

I bought a new device 4 days back. I'm on the latest miui 13. I checked on accubattery and saw the actual capacity to be 4700 but that app has been notorious for incorrect measurements.
1. I'd like to know what app you are using to get the actual capacity
2. I can't say how much your drain is from the SS. I can tell my experience. Im getting around 7-8 SOT % with 120hz. Overnight drain is under 3-4% max. I have debloated the OS as well so that might help as well.

Over night battery dain is 2-3% at Max I have manually disabled apps from running in the background. As of the SOT I am getting around 7-8 hrs (100%-10%) 120HZ

The only things to do are debloat Miui 13

[OP5] Battery life Thread

Let's make this the official battery life thread for the Oneplus 5, enjoy :good:
OnePlus 5 Battery Life Thread
Hi all,
I figure it would be useful to get a battery life thread going so we can see what type of performance we can get and also understand how people might be improving their battery performance.
I haven't done one full battery drain yet as I only got the phone yesterday. I will be doing that on this cycle to see how it performs. For reference I am at 90% after about 7 ½ hours having put down at 100% and not on the charger when I slept. I had 2% battery drain over night (slept maybe 6 ½ hours) and have 54 minutes SOT (light usage, just messaging, Twitter, slack, chrome etc) with the remaining 8%. I'm not sure how OP phones battery life reduce, I know LG always has a strong first 10% and then rapidly drops off for example.
In terms of setup, I am rooted and using Doze Settings Editor (GeraldRudi preset), Naptime, Leandroid (but I need to figure out if this is actually working). I am also using dark themes were possible as these are better for AMOLED screens. I've also tweaked kernel in EXKM but nothing major that would positively impact battery.
Just to follow up, I have completed my first full cycle and can report that I got just over 6 hours of SOT over about 33 hours.
I had a bit of Bluetooth and GPS but I do keep the screen brightness as low as possible which really does help battery life as well.
I have also included CPU frequencies for reference, I haven't made any governor tweaks but that would be something to look at or maybe wait for custom kernels which I'm sure would have different governors including EAS based ones.

Yeah I definitely think so. There has been a trend in recent years of reducing battery life IMO. I had easily 8 hours of SOT over two full days on my HTC One M8 when I first got it and each year it's just gotten worse to the point now where 6 hours is considered great but I'm not complaining, I will take that over other phones barely managing 4 to 5 hours SOT.
Very excited to see how far this phone can be optimised on battery life with custom ROMs and Kernels. Good days ahead
Make sure to post your results when you complete a full charge and what you've done battery savingwise to achieve that

Nah didnt do screenshots this time. I got to work and forget that. Next charge will be a screenshot

The battery life in mine is awesome. 21 hours, on 4g/WiFi and 4:30 hours SOT on half battery.
Probably will last me more than 2 days with normal usage
I can get around 8 hours SOT with medium use and brightness set to low. I am mostly indoors and I am impressed. With the same usage on my OPO I got 3.5 hours SOT.
ElementalX and 4.5.2 is out and coming out very shortly so the game will change again battery life wise. There will be different kernels that will help or hinder battery life depending on how much they are geared that way or towards performance.

After 5hrs of screen on time and 13hrs of standby mostly on 4g, still have 38% of juice left! All stock ofcoz.

Awesome. The OP5 definitely looks like a good phone for battery life as we can run the phone pretty hard and still get decent SOT

Yes this is my normal usage. Probably its that good cause i dont use insta, facebook etc. Maybe i will install the instagram app and look a bit around.
Im just waiting for official TWRP to root and tweak the whole phone. It can even be better.
Pretty good battery life today

My first charge was data only. I've had a couple of issues with stand by drain but I think that has been sorted now (back down to 2-3% drain over night) so should be able to get another decent reading today.
I am however now on freedomOS and ElementalX so things are changing up and I can see there is another OTA fix on the way.bit hard in the early weeks to get through a full day without something changing!!

I have never been more pleased, I might just get 8-9 hrs of SoT
This too
I like what I see .
Pg, pls also post also when you're using data (if you're using)

over 40% battery drain because android system

Like you can see at the picture, i dont touch the phone 12 hours(i was sleep) and from 100 when i went sleep to 59 when i woke up without touch the phone.
Oreo stable version, with root.
What can i do?
Faced the same issue, using derp kernel now.

Im with blu spark.. Not good enough, can you give me download?
That's 40% drain in 12 hours.
So 3,3% per hour.
Android system doesn't mean anything in your title.
It can be any application.
Use Betterbatterystats or Gsam battery monitor for a few hours and report the results.

Mi 8 poor battery life (not even 1 day)

Hello,
As described in the Title the battery life on my Mi 8 is very poor. From the beginning it really wasnt that good and I could not understand how people could say it has really great battery life. Now as it gets older and the Battery degrades, it has become worse and i cannot even get trough the day.
AccuBattery says SOT of 3:20 and a battery capacity of 89%
Any suggestions how to improve Battery?
Thanks

Well, I had similar problems on MIUI. First try to flash a custom kernel which gives you some tweaks, performance and battery update. If the battery is still very bad go to AOSP ROMs

Battery Kernel

Hey all,
Which kernel do you guys think has the best battery live or temperatures. My lg g6's battery is getting pretty old so temperatures and endurance isnt too great. Im running Havoc os 3.8 android 10

for my g6 h870 battery life is baaaaaaad, unless I'm running on android 7,14 (fulmics from) then the battery life is amazing. but on newer android versions like 8,9 and 10 screen time is up to 2 to 3 hours with a brand new battery, with old battery I was getting 1 and half hour of screen time. so my tip to you is to try fulmics rom, ofcourse a lot less functionality, but battery life should be very good

My h870's battery life is miles better than u said urs was on android 10. i finish the day with around 20% and start with 90%. And my g6 is 3 yrs old. Your phone might not b working correctly

yeah, when i checked on battery consumption, it shows me that "Phone idle" uses around 50% of the battery. Ive tried many different fixes but none of them worked. This phone idle thing followed me almost on every single rom I install.
Yesterday I installed xtended xq (android 10) rom, and the battery life is back to normal.

Battery life is very good if compared to what I've had before(aquarios 8.1), UI is smooth, lots of functionality. i cant compare it to havoc os, its been long time since I've had it. but I've read in comments to that rom that its generally better than havoc.

On my g6 I get pretty good battery life too, around 4-5 hours sot, using havoc 3.8. I don't use things like aod or ambient display. Smart charging should be disabled. Even if I set 'stop trigger level' to 99%, I get much worse battery life. The phone is around 2 years old.
G6 H870 noticed if I charge battery to 85 % or 95% I get bad battery life. If I charge to 100 % I get good battery life. On Stock and Custom. I think something wrong with battery calibration.
Is somebody else experiencing it?

Question Very bad SoT ( 3-4 hours ) , please help??

Hello..
I recently bought this phone, i think its very nice, camera is great, charging is good, but its killing me that i am always getting around 3-4 SoT, what could be wrong??
I bought phone from TradingShenzhen,
Xiaomi eu. rom, 13.0.13 stable.
120hz
Dark mode
AoD ( Always on ) is OFF
I really expect 5-6-7 hours from this phone considering battery is 5000mAh and that alot of options are off.
Should i change ROM? Is something eating up my battery? Please help me, thank you.

Check app autostart and app battery saver level, screen resolution, FHD+/WQHD+, lower frequency to 90Hz or 60Hz.
After making the settings, if necessary, wait 48 hours to see the result.
Do a factory reset if nothing changes.
Or install a Xiaomi EU rom Weekly Miui 14 A13.
On my 12 pro, switching to A13 increased battery life.

If more SOT/battery runtime is your priority, consider changing to custom ROM.
I can get a whole day use from full charge , about 8-9 hours SOT @ 60hz. Even 10 hours is possible.
