Question Is there way to do FULL backup since there is not TWRP actually - OnePlus 10 Pro

Hello People,
Just ordered an OP 10 pro and waiting the shipment ( yeah, my OP3T is now old )
I saw there isn't TWRP actually on this device. I always like to do a FULL backup of my phone in case of emergency ( brick or something else).
Is there any other tool to do a full partition backup ?
Btw, anyone know if a team is working on a TWRP port ?
Thanks

You can backup even if there isn't TWRP. You don't need to worry about it.
and I heard last month that the team was working on this feature and soon update may come.
let's hope.
Or even if the update doesn't come you can return the phone. There is a certain time and you can read the return policy for more information.

There was barely a functional TWRP on the 8 pro, main reason being that you don't need it to flash ROMs and with contacts, messages and WhatsApp etc all being cloud based, swift back up allowing for a cloud back up too then you're not in any need for TWRP, so the emphasis has been taken off it.
Ideally it would be nice, but more to the point we need a solid tried and tested recovery method, of which twrp could maybe have helped.
Atm I believe fastboot enhance can save you from bricks and the above mentioned syncs and app back ups more then do the job.
My last two phones P20 Pro and the OnePlus 8 pro I've flashed like crazy at times and never needed TWRP once.

Yeah but twrp can backup all partition ( EDL, NVRAM...)

You can back up EDL without TWRP.

There are ways to backup via adb commands in fastboot d but you have to know locations and what is what

There is a way to backup stuff you need to find in fox for backup module then you can make a full backup of your device but i don't know how it fully works or what it will backup or on GitHub there are some backup things but i don't know what it was called no more

[Q] problems when trying to make a recovery image/backup current rom on CWM.

ok, i have searched and have seen 1 other thread like this with the same problem, but its in the Facinate forum, so i dont know if what was aid on there applys to the Galaxy s. but basically, when i go to back up my current rom, it comes up with a message like this:
{

what was said in the fascinate forum is that i need to flash CWM with odin for it to work properly. is this correct? and if so, how do i go about it?
thanks and sorry for being a dumbass if this is stupidly obvious.
Oliver
P.S im using hardcore's speedmod k12h 500hz kernal if that makes any difference to anything.
EDIT, this problem is now sorted....
bump, can anyone shed some light?
Install CWM first as per instructions in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734166
I was doing it with Rom manager before, sorry i forgot to say, i have tried the process which is mentioned on the thread you suggested and have just tried it again, still no joy and its coming up with that screen in the first post. Could it be something to do with the kernal i am using?
Oliver
Bump!!!! please, anybody got any ideas... would flashing a new kernal be of any help?
so i havemade a backup using nandroid, seen as it wasnt working through rom manager. i just need to know what files should be within it for it to have backed up my rom... or should i just trust that it should be there.
Hi, if i was you i would download titanium backup, the free version is all you need, then you can create a full backup of all your system data and apps and even app data so ur settings dont change... it will take about 5 - 10 mins. then when you have flashed a new rom or what ever it is your doing, just re-apply titanium backup and let that do all the work..
yeah, i understand that. but i mean to be able to restore my stock rom if i need to? because im preeeeety sure that titanium dosent do that? (if this sounds sarcistic it isnt meant to be)
well there is an option to back everything up into a ROM but ive never used it so i dont know, besides if your changing to a new ROM and you dont like it, just download and flash back to your current ROM it only takes two ticks via clockworkMod.
but clockwork mod isnt letting me do it (make a recovery image), if you see the top of thread...
yes but you dont need a recovery image, you can flash back to your current firmware if you dont like the new one. all the system apps ect are built in to the ROM, so all you need to back up is your apps and things, which titanium backup can do
ok, i am officially confused, as i dont see how i can do that without a recovery image to reflash...

EFS stands for Encrypting File System, which is really important part of networking and communication for Android Smartphones, It also contains your device IMEI data. When installing the Custom ROMs, it is always recommended to backup EFS Data, because these are the places, where you might loose this data and when you lose it, it means you may no longer be able to use your smartphone for communication, ultimately which becomes just a multimedia toy!! Therefore if you’re an advance Android user, then you’ve to learn, How to Backup EFS Folder on your Samsung device.
Today, I will guide you, using the step by step instructions, How to Backup and Restore EFS from any Android Samsung Device using the EFS Professional tool. There are also many other methods and Tools which lets you perform the same task but in this tutorial we’ll be using the EFS Professional, which is developed by a recognized xda developer.
Guidelines and Requirements:-
1. Make sure you’ve already got Root Access on your Samsung Android Phone.
2. This EFS Backup tool is only for Samsung devices, do not try it on another device.
REMOVED REST OF PROCEDURE........ Not for the Nexus 5.

Ummmmm.....this is the nexus 5 forum, not a Samsung device.
It even says for Samsung only and not to try on another device.
Maybe delete your post....to avoid confusion. Thanks!!
Step 1: install TWRP.
Step 2: select backup EFS.
Thanks for reading.
Ya you don't even need to backup the efs for this device ...
Unlike my nexus s... (Samsung)

Actually you should always backup your EFS even on this phone. I remember in the earlier days people were having issues with TWRP wiping their EFS. Always back it up as soon as you unlock and put custom recovery. Save to PC and cloud storage just in case. Always. :good:
Twr will back it up. Then save it elsewhere

Guys if EFS is broken and i have a EFS backup how can restore? If EFS is broken we dont havê access to sdcard ?

Help needed !!! Rom problem Note 5

Hi all
Since today i have a BIG problem with Roms and Nandroid Back-ups.
I made a Nandroid back-up and installed INFINITY N7 rom on my N5, no problems at all but didn't liked it so restored my nandroid back-up after full wiping my phone.
Now since when i press my power button those icons are showing weird images and the text benide it is also weird.
It doesn't matter if i restore a nandroid or install a complete new rom the problem with the powerbutton functions still exist.
I flashed the custom rom by odin and then i dont have that problem, so i have it only with nandroids and roms.
What causes this and how can i fix it?
Thx
The layout is exuactly when it was in the INFINITY ROM so some how it leaves it marks after all the wiping i think

Considering that you're using a custom designed rom it's best if you send a message to the dev that made it because most likely he/she will have an answer for you and they will also be able to fix it on their side too! But if I had to guess I would say it's a language problem because it looks like that is Deutsche language and just needs to be changed to English.
Thx for your anwser but the problem is that it was ok in my nandroid back-up and after removing the rom and restoring my nandroid it's messed up since

Porting TWRP to the Note 10 Lite

Hey everyone,
As nobody has been willing to port TWRP to the Note 10 Lite and due to the unfortunate circumstances of OTA Updates bricking my own phone every time I have more or less been forced to get TWRP running on my device to even have a chance of recovering at least some data from it.
I will keep everyone posted on my progress but keep in mind that this is the first time I attempt to port TWRP or any other android component to a phone so progress might not go very smoothly at first.
I'm currently in the progress of getting a working build environment set up based on TWRP for the Galaxy S9 as it seems to share the same SoC as the Note 10 Lite which should at least provide a better base than starting from scratch. I hope to get something working before the end of the week as it's fairly critical for me to get it working asap.
If anybody who at least knows some stuff about porting TWRP to samsung devices wants to help me out I'd really appreciate it. Every nudge in the right direction is very nice to have so feel free to respond here or pass me a message

I have already made TWRP for Note10 Lite, And one more dev also made TWRP for N10Lite..
TWRP is ready but vbmeta check not allowing to flash any custom recovery in partition.
Yes we have flashed vbmeta disabled file but even phone says vbemta disabled value set still it gives while flashing twrp or any custom recovery error vbmeta verification failed.
This might be due to vbmeta in BL cross checking vbmeta of AP.
This same problem is present on other many samsung phones too.. and was present on s20 before but samsung fixed it with OTA update.
Unless samsung fixes that or give us private keys to sign twrp to use partition without that you cant flash anything into partition.
I haven't tried on one ui 3/ Android 11 firmware but I have seen vbmeta file of it, its the same as one ui 2.5.
I have posted all of this info here on XDA but got deleted cause I deleted my account. Will post again.
You can PM me if you want any help.

Question Zenfon 8 and a newbie

I unlocked my new Zenfone8. then I had flashed the new E-OS system. and somehow I put it in my pocket wrong, and now the phone doesn't tell me it's unlocked! and it only goes to the green START screen Can someone help me?
How can I unlock the bootloader again? I would love to be able to bring it back to its original state!

So.. you got a NEW Zenfone 8. Decided to unlock right away, then flash E-OS (never heard of this before), and even put in your pocket wrong. And now you want to unlock it again? And let us not forget you're a newbie.
I'm not trolling but next time always read how to revert back or somekind of backup plan when you do some flashing. You didn't even mentioned any way you tried to get it working again.
Guys pls help this poor guy.

hello.
this e/OS (https://doc.e.foundation/devices) is a siple system but fairly new.
yes, that would have been smart with the backup... So with adb I can't get into the cell phone, I can connect with fastboot. this E/OS only runs when the phone is unlocked.. I previously unlocked it with the original tool from Asus (unlock.apk) But if the cell phone is lying on its side in the suitcase and accidentally presses all 3 buttons at the same time, the cell phone will be locked again! I didn't know that... and can you unlock this phone with fastboot? or with programs completely flash on original? Best Regards!
Hi, I can suggest you try the instructions in this post, the install of /e/OS most likely failed and now it doesnt get past the bootloader. The device is probably fine. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/full-recover-to-stock-if-things-went-really-bad.4337467/
worked!
but important! You first have to deactivate the digital driver signature in Windows 10!! otherwise driver fragments will be missing when flashing!!
Had to flash twice, and the procedure worked!
many thanks to everyone!
PS: what tool do you use for your backups?

I personally do not store anything really important on my phone, so no backups apart from Google photos and manually uploading my important files.
