Question Bluetooth distance problem - Redmi Note 11 (spes/spesn)

Anyone noticing a problem with the bluetooth distance on this phone.
I have switch from an MiA2 and had no problems using my headphones with my phone in my pocket, on the redmi though I am getting skipping and jumping when using the phone in the same way. Anyone else noticed a similar problem?

I’d be happy to help, but I don’t have this phone, sorry

yep ive noticed it too on bluetooth speakers , tried jbl & lg with different players and formats . getting micro dropouts and the speakers are only a few feet away . my amazon fire tablets wifi slows right down when using bluetooth too . the only thing i can think of is the signals are causing interference .

Hmm, same circumstances today, no issues. Very strange.

Hello, I upgrade my RN5pro with RN11 (spesn) and comparing booth, rn11 have a very bad Bluetooth signal.
But I think it's MIUI Rom that cause this problem because the signal it's much better since I have installed a custom ROM.

I get the feeling that the antennas are pretty weak, compared to the Redmi Note 5 I was using before. Both Bluetooth and WiFi seem to have a significantly smaller range than I was used to in the 3 years I was using my old phone.
I've also noticed problems with my in-ear buds when I'm walking around with the phone in my pocket. I sure hope that a different OS can mitigate those problems in the long run.
Edit: What darkspirit66 said right above me.

I've got the same problem. After update to V13.0.12.0.RGCMIXM I noticed a significant ranged decreased. I tested 3 differents bluetooth headphones, and when the bluetooth device is connected, the signal drops in half. In the pocket the signal almost disappear ("Bluetooth signal meter" to see difference of signal)

What ROM are you using? I tested it with PixelUI and had the same problem.

I solved the problem flashing with stock rom via fastboot

What also bothers me about MIUI is that whenever I get too far from the connected bluetooth device, it will not pick it up again when I'm back in range. I really doubt it's something custom ROMs wouldn't solve. You always have to either turn off/back on the speaker, or reconnect via the settings menu.

0. Make a backup of all your data
1. Unlock bootloader
2. Download a fastboot rom
3. Flash with MiFlash
I don't know if I can post youtube links here. But you can easily find tutorials teaching how to flash via fastboot on youtube.

[Q] Severe phone calls problem

Hey there,
I know it has been discussed partly, but with I think different aspects and details than I have. To cut it short: in about 50% of my phone calls, be it with good or bad reception, people cannot hear me speak on the phone.
The fun thing is, this cannot be connected to the internal microphone since I have it both on the normal mic as well as my bluetooth headset. No matter whether I call them or they call me. Sometimes (!) it helps to mute and re-enable the microphone on-screen, but this is not always effective. I thought this may be related to a bad combination of firmware and radio, but I recently switched to InsertCoin GE und updated both FW and radio, to no avail as regards to that matter. Furthermore, sometimes phonecalls just drop in the middle of a conversation, with no change in signal quality as far as I recognize.
Does this sound like some software thingy (and one might have a solution) or would you believe this is hardware related?
All the best in advance

Hey there,
of course, I picked InsertCoin GoogleEdition with the corresponding 3.06.1700.10 firmware that's offered as a complementary download for the ROM. No hands on the kernel, left the one coming with the ROM. Does that help ?

can you do a nandroid backup and try with another ROM? You could also ask in the thread of the ROM if someone got a similar problem.
I would also downgrade the firmware to the latest for HTC One (non GE). this should not be the problem but just to be sure

Yeah, I think I can. But I came from a 4.2.2 ROM with the latest radio, TrickDroid 8.0 and I had the very same problems. Does it more sound like a hardware than a software issue?

MMB29K Bluetooth issues

Hi all, Since I upgraded my stock unrooted Verizon N6, my Bluetooth does not pair with any device at all. Does anyone else have this issue? I searched for a similar thread, but could not find one, so my apologies if this is duplicative. Any help is appreciated.

What do you mean by upgraded? OTA update, or did you flash a rom? The only issue I've ever had is Bluetooth disconnecting/ reconnecting. Has become an alarm saying I should reboot, lol. Works fine afterwards.
It was an OTA update. Cannot pair with any Bluetooth device.

I noticed my Plantronics Legend connecting/disconnecting a lot yesterday and a reboot fixed it too. Sounds like that is a good gauge.

So I went to the Google Forums page, wiped cache. Didn't work. Factory reset the device and did not restore previous settings. Treated it as a new phone setup. Problem solved. It appears as though a 3rd party app conflicts with the Bluetooth. I've been kind of picky which apps I reinstalled, so so far, so good.

How to turn off going to 4G when low wifi connection? Phone keeps rebooting..

Got the phone few days ago, and its great. BUT, for some reason when the phone switches to 4G because of low wifi connection in my bedroom the phone will constantly reboot itself, real annoying problem obviously.
Ive been looking for a solution but havent found it..

I'd suggest contacting Oneplus support. This doesn't sound usual.
Been having the same problem, exactly as you described it.
I was wondering if my ROM had anything to do with it, are you running a custom ROM?
Were you able to fix the issue somehow?

I'm running resurrection remix nougat rom, and am still having the issue.
Current thought was to use something like Tasker to disable 4g when connection on wifi, and reenable when losing wifi signal.

Hmm... try finding something that's involving "Smart Network Switching" and uncheck it if possible. I'm sorry if i didn't help but i don't really know about Oneplus's ROMs.

Are major problems solved in the latest firmware? (Restarts, wi-fi & BF dropping...)
Hi,
I want to buy XZ1 compact but I am reading this phone is restarting on its own, and has wi-fi and bluetooth problems. Can anybody please say, if those or other "critical" bugs are solved? I searched but it is hard to say for sure...
Basically I am quite depended on the phone and I really want it to be reliable. My current Motorola restarted maybe once in three years, so I am bit nervous about this.
Thanks
I'm on the latest firmware and I don't have any of that.
That said, I was on the November one for the last few months and also never had any of that.
That's the problem with forums like that, you're likely to only see the rare negatives of any device.
No issues for me.. smooth as butter.. great battery life.. LDAC working flawlessly with Sony headphones etc
Just wish I could turn the charging LED off
Also keep in mind if you unlock bootloader and load custom rom you're on your own. I havent gone that route this time and have had literally 0 issues in months
Okay, thank you, it seems it will be fine. I won't do custom rom but yeah root + xposed is a must for me.
I also got dropping WIFI. Really annoying and nothing seems to fix it.

Wifi working fine here. Check the settings on your router.
The restarts seem to be fixed. I think it was a regression with the previous one or two versions. The phone was fine, then it went from one or more a day, to none with the latest update. Wifi hasn't improved, but I did not find it that bad to begin with. Once it connects, it stays connected. It's that original connection where it sometimes decides "wifi? I don't have a wifi radio." Bluetooth is still terrible - works fine with a BT speaker, but is nearly useless with a car stereo.
Only 1 problem persists - Smart Lock don't work, it just a blank page. Can be resolved by restarting the device.

POCO X3 NFS and Android Auto

Hi,
I'm having a lot of pain with my POCO X3 and Android Auto hope to find help here...
1. I need to connect my phone twice in order to connect to AA. I need to disconnect it twice from my car multimedia port side, if I unplug it from my phone side (USB-C) it takes more than 2 times to connect to AA.
2. After a phone call any audio (Spotify, streaming radio, other phone call) is routed to my phone speaker, I need to disconnect and connect my phone (twice) to solve it.
3. GPS signal is with a delay
4. Incoming call - it takes forever to show the call information (who's calling me).
5. Selecting apps via AA, very slow response time, even in app, for example I'm trying to add a report via Waze it's almost impossible, trying to make a phone call while using Waze.
I'm getting the same results in 2 different cars, I've tried different cables... I don't use Dual apps which I know is making trouble with AA.
I've tried Apple Carplay and it's working very well and very smooth.
Hope you guys will be able to help me..
Wow, I'm not the only one with your point 2! I thought it was my setup.
I'm running stock Android 10 MIUI rooted with Magisk.
@mosheva what's your setup so we can try and debug this?

what about the other issues? your Waze is running correctly? You plug your device only 1 time?
So frustrating...
Waze, maps, etc work fine. It's just the sound direction after a phone call that is the issue for me (your point 2)

Anyone got the issue 2 solved? I've been trying so hard on getting it solved it's so frustrating
For those of us having issues with sound redirection after a phone call, are you rooted? I ask because I'm trying to narrow down the route to a possible solution. If we are rooted, it becomes easier. I'm not worried about using 3rd party ROMs because I had this issue on stock.
I'm rooted
Seems it is not issue on POCO only. I have the same sound redirection with Mi11, stock global rom, not rooted. Bootloader is not unlocked yet, so once done, I am planning to flash xiaomi.eu rom as it seems the issue is fixed there.

Hi, yesterday I installed the 12.5.9 eu version, confirm that the problem of the sound that is passed to the mobile after a call, continues to occur.
Today I installed version 21.6.30 as commented by the colleague and they have effectively solved the problem of the sound that jumped to the phone after a call.
Great!
