Question Motorola Edge 20 Pro no android 12 update - Motorola Edge 20 Pro

Does anyone here can teach me how to update my moto edge 20 pro by flashing it through motoflash pro? My device don't have OTA update since I bought this last January.

If its not rooted then wolfaas12345 found a great way to do it using rescue tool.
Manually update to android 12 with locked bootloader
**Warning** this will erase your data So i was poking around moto rescue tool as i wanted android 12 on my moto edge 20 pro which was stuck on 11 and accidentally found a way to update the phone without unlocking the bootloader via swap trick...

Can't use also the rescue tool, it says device not compatible.

Try using this utility Tiny Fastboot Script

Are there currently any ways to unlock the Mate 10 (/Pro)'s bootloader?

After Huawei killed their bootloader unlock website, users have been left unable to unlock their bootloaders. Is there something like dc-unlocker for the Mate 10 (Pro)?

Yes dc-unlocker
As far as I know there's only one for the Lite, it didn't detect my phone
DC-Unlocker not supported the following devices:
WARNING:
Huawei P20 EML-xxx all versions not supported
Huawei P20 Pro CLT-xxx all versions not supported
Huawei Mate 10 ALP-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei Mate 10 Pro BLA-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei P10 VTR-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei P10 plus VKY-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei Mate 9 MHA-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
DC-unlocker works if you're on BLA-L29C432B142 or lower. They did something in B145 which fixed dc-unlockers unlock code generation and the backdoor they use with DC-Phoenix. And you can't use FH to downgrade either (Not tested on B145 but on B148-SP1).
I'm not sure what builds are on other custs, but this is the Night Shot update on C432.
F*ck, my phone was 142 and I have updated in 145 just out of the Box...
Damn.
Dc-unlocker Give it a crack might still work, you just need to make sure you put the phone into management mode so it can read it phone. Just unlocked mine last night. Running magisk v16 working decrypted twrp and emui 8.0

https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code
Followed that guide, created an account cost me 4 EUR to read bootloader code.

Follow this guide to fix fastboot issue.
Typed fastboot oem unlock (code here without brackets)
Device will reboot and factory reset.
Use this TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/development/huawei-mate-10-pro-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3769904
Fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk twrp_bla_alp_0.7.img
Decryption and touch both working.
Install Magisk 16.0, Enjoy
For future updates you will likely need the full ota and the nocheck recovery img from HWOTA8
The question is from 148 is this possible to Downgrade with Funky Huawei to lower, 142 for example and Root with DC unlocker ?

No it is not, at least one user couldn't (I know it's not much, but it's a friend of @Pretoriano80). I think someone in the Funky thread tried too.
It finds update and that but stays on 0% forever. He was trying to downgrade to both b145 and b142.

I have mate 10 pro running 8.0.0.141(c636) and I just tried dc it didnt work just got unknown error 375 everytime it tried to read it.
Has anyone tried BLA-A09 8.0.0.119(C567) I cant get dc unlocker to even recognize my phone.
Used DC Locker today on BLA-A09 8.0.0.111 fresh out of the box.
I followed these directions:

https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code
The one issue I ran into was fastboot oem unlock wouldn't work initially. I went into developers options to find the oem unlocking feature greyed out. To fix this turn off automatic updates in developers options. Then put your sim card in and restart your phone. (I was keepoing the sim card out to prevent updates) I was able turn on the OEM unlocking feature after this.

I got it to work. I just had to change it from modem to phone
Guys, i just bought mate 10 lite and i have bunch of noob questions. Instead of starting new thread i wanted to ask here.
So my phone on RNE-L21C185B142 version. I read the forums and got my bootloader unlock code from dc-unlocker before its too late. So i am able to unlock my bootloader and root my phone right now.
1- Should i unlock my bootloader? I was using cyanogenmod and lineageos on my previous 2 phones. I like customize my phone thats why i install custom roms.
2-If i unlock my bootloader am i still able to get official updates somehow (like flashing from adb or twrp) without relocking bl?
3-If i install custom rom or root can i go back to stock 8.0.0.142 version so i can unlock my bl again?
Thanks in advance

I have an option for OEM unlocking though. Haven't tried it since it'll format everything.
Why is the option even there then?

You need an unlock code from Huawei to unlock the bootloader, but since more than a year ago, Huawei doesn't provide unlock codes anymore
Huawei have stopped giving away the bootloader unlock codes, and most of the "3rd party" websites don't actualy provide this - those that promise the code are mostly fake and you should avoid giving them money (unless you like to giveaway money to scammers)
Anyway, even with the unlocked bootloader, you still don't have a TWRP port for the most recent updates of the Mate 20 Lite....

That's what I did with Auth-flash, even paid credits to revert back to ColorOS.
Now I'm at C.29 with Realme UI 1.0 with Bootloader unlocked but not able to access to Booloader.
At least I can use NFC and use the phone normally, only no root, no bootloader, no widevine.
I have similar issue. It seems that Realme has blacklisted our devices from entering bootloader. Tell me this, has your phone been sent to Realme for repairs after you tempered with the bootloader?

Yes Milan in my case, I took to realme service center , but after getting repaired, i used unlocking tool again and it worked no problem but after the updates I felt like i should lock the bootloader , so i did with a command " fastboot flashing lock " now whenever i try to unlock it doesn't unlocks rather shows fastboot logo 2-3 sec, also i tried in color os 6 but nothing happend there also, now im using color os 6 which is still better in terms of performance as compared to realme ui , ui 2.0 and also i can't upgrade to android 10 or android 11 from coloros 6 due to the fact that the security patch won't match realme ui , ultimately leading to bootloop , which was the earlier case for me to go to service center .

I've reached out to the local Realme service center and I asked them if my bootloader was blacklisted. After running some checks with Realme HQ, they've told me to send the device to them, so that they could flash/update the software themselves in order to regain access to my bootloader. Which means that no matter what we try, we won't be able to get the bootloader unlocked ourselves without Realme's intervention.

Unlock Bootloader for Rog3 A12

THe unlock tool in asus official site is for A11 and my android is A12, So then how would i proceed to unlock bootloader in my device?
I have a similar problem on my ROG Phone 3 Tencent edition, If you don't have OEM Unlock in the Developer settings, I think that the only way for now is rollback to Android 11 using the firmware on ASUS website wiping your phone.
I've done that, but whith te tool provided by ASUS, I still can't unlock it, it just restart the phone whitout doing anyting.
Furthermore my PC doesn't recognize my phon in Fastboot mode (Yes I'm using side port and original cable).

You have the same problem that i had. First must unbrick your bootloader then flash raw image because your pc doesn't find your phone. Follow this steps https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...bricked-asus-rog-phone-3-23-nov-2021.4151443/

Question Root or block BL?

I have a Moto Edge S pro, and he came with the global ROM, and of course, with the BL unlocked. My question is: if I root my device, will I be able to install android 13??? Cause he still on Android 11 and it takes a lot of battery, and using root can I block the bootloader? Or just using the unlocked bootloader, can I update my phone by myself? If yes, how? I saw here a lot of manuals but I'm not confident to do by myself without help, can someone help me? Thank you everybody!!!
There is no problem
I have official ROM 13
After the update locked the bootloader
and no problem(moto edge s pro)

Ok, I downloaded the stock rom (using the RMSA) but how can I know that it's already the one with android 13? Because my BL still unlocked and I know I have to put the command to lock again. So, if I install again the stock ROM of android 11 and block the BL, when my phone turns on, will I be able to update using OTA?
My suggestion that once the bootloader unlocked on a motorola phone let it stay unlocked then flash whatever compatible rom you want but don't lock back. Sometimes under special circumstances locking back can brick a phone. If there is an anti-rollback protection in your phone then it can brick the phone with locked bootloader and previous Android version.
