Hi, I'm TecKnight. I have been an RC for a couple of years now

I am pretty technical and have a lot of experience with android devices of all types.
I have a habit of posting detailed tutorials, so those with less knowledge can feel comfortable doing cool things to their devices.
My real name is Randy King and I live in Las Vegas.
I have pretty much been a computer / technology fanatic since I was born.
I have owned some of the very first PCs, including a Commodore PET way back in the day.

Detailed tutorials are great. Thank you for what you do around here

Hi everyone

I'm just starting to learn about this sub-culture of smartphone modders. I started out with rotary dial phones a long time ago and I always dreamed of having a portable computer that you can carry around in your pocket and now we have smartphones. All my google searches led me to this website and the amazing gurus who develop and help regular people here. This is what technology is all about and it should be for everyone.
Looking forward to interacting with some of you and learning new tricks.
Best regards.

Welcome to XDA!
Thank you @orb_selektor - very kind of you to write.

Good evening everyone :-)

Hello and thank you for letting this old sod join XDA
I'm by no means an expert when it comes to tech but more of an enthusiast although I am the one many of my family and friends come to when needing help and/or technical advice and I even sort out iPhones when a cousin of mine manages to forget her details
I've only ever owned 1 iPhone and that was a iPhone 3 and since then I've been an Android fan when it comes to phones and streaming devices.
I've often delved in and out of XDA when doing any research for gadgets or tech support so at 54 I thought it was high time I signed up.
Cheers.
Pete.

Hello, I am new here. I primarily joined to ask questions on installing someone's project documented here, but hopefully I will be able to do something myself eventually. I am mainly into older computers and video games consoles but I have recently realised that smartphones are more interesting than I previously thought, more like old PCs I suppose as they are closed systems unlike new PCs. I have a few phones and I've always thought i'd like to use them more but historically I've only really been interested in games and scene demos. I am supposed to be a technical guy but I only have a lot of breadth of surface level knowledge mostly on old computers and not much depth, mostly because of spending all my time dreaming and never doing or actually learning stuff other than reading Wikipedia articles. Hopefully I can change that and get around to learning more in depth. The trouble is finding information that allows you to learn more but is still at a level that you understand.
Anyway from the little i've seen this seems like quite a civilised community so hopefully I will get along with everyone and maybe I'll be able to help with things eventually.

Hi, I’m Dreagen. I’m a multidimensional artist who’s Idol is Elon Musk. Fascinated, by software & tech, I enjoy studing multimedia and electronic enterprising which brings me to to this world of ‘’software development.’’ Android is my favorite platform and I’m working on several apps. My hat would be gray if I knew programming better; however I’m no hacker… I’m excited and look forward to engaging with all you real programmers with hopes this experience lucrative.
Great to see new faces here, I'm not a developer, just a random guy who likes to mess up with devices, you'll see quite a lot going on here, I've seen impressive jobs done, hope you have a great time to enjoy here! Cheers!
