Magisk works well - but MagiskHide reboot phone

Hi, I've decided to start this thread as I can't find solution in "Magisk General Support / Discussion". Hereunder I present summary of issue:
Device: Samsung S4 (i9505), Custom rom, Android 6.0 (Older version of Magisk is reported to works well on my rom Click)
Description of issue: Everything works well, root access is granted, system is stable - as long as MagishHide is turned off. When I turn it on and try to check SafetyNet, the phone reboot. I did succesfully check of SafetyNet but only once after first install, then it always reboot.
What I tried:
1. Reinstalling magisk with additionally restoring clear boot.img before new instalation.
2. Clearing Magisk Manager data.
3. Disabling DroidGuardService
4. Changing permission as suggested HERE
5. Reinstalling Magisk on different rom and different kernel to limit possibility it is rom-depended
My procedure to reproduce bug:
1. Open Magisk Manager and turn MagiskHide On.
2. Press SafetyNet check (also in Magisk Mager).
3. Phone reboot.
I attached Logcat of this procedure. It's quite fast so it is short log.
Thanks in advice for your help.

I'm having a similar issue on my Sony Z3 compact. I've tried v11.1 and yesterdays unofficial v12 build. My only difference is that I don't actually need to click anything to cause the reboot. I wait for 10-15 seconds. The screen freezes and it reboots.
Sony Z3 compact , stock based custom ROM and stock kernel.
Base magisk install with the only setting changed is to enable hide and select a couple of banking apps
Sent from my Xperia Z2 Tablet using Tapatalk
In my case I had also self-acting reboot but only if internet connection was on. In other case I needed to manually triggered it, in the manner I descibed above.
Edit:
I think, I sorted out this. I changed two things:
1. Updated rom to android 7.1-based.
2. Changed GApps to smaller package (nano).
So far I can use MagiskHide, no random reboots.

Magisk causes system glitches on Nokia 7 Plus Android Pie 9.0

Hi,
I have a Nokia 7 Plus TA-1046 running official Android Pie 9.0 with September 2018 patch level and build number 00WW_3_22C. The bootloader is unlocked.
Upon booting a patched boot.img using MagiskManager 6.0 canary build with a debug version of Magisk 17.3 canary build as well, the system experiences some system glitches as follows:
1) Vibration intensity for haptic feedback is increased
2) Certain system gestures become unavailable like Lift to check phone or Swipe up from home
3) Double tap to wake becomes unavailable
4) Some other glitches I may have missed
The thing is that as soon as the system is restarted, said glitches disappear and the system returns to normal. The same is also observed even when Direct Install Magisk to the system after achieving root privileges and then uninstalling afterwards. No modules were used nor installed upon testing.
This did not happen back when the system was running Android Oreo 8.1. It seems that having Magisk is causing glitches to this system running Pie, at least on this hardware.
I could not zero in on where the issue may be, so perhaps someone would be able to guide me on troubleshooting this further. I'm attaching the debug logs upon patching the boot.img and booting it subsequently via fastboot.
I could also provide screenies for the missing gestures before and after applying the Magisk patch.

EDIT: The XDA labs is having a hard time uploading and attaching a sub 10kb log file to this post, so I am providing a pastebin link to the install and run logs.

ViPER4Android?

Has anyone got Viper working? In the normal mode, audio sounds terrible and stuttery. IN compatibility mode, it doesn't do a thing. I'm on RR-P.
With the magisk module, it works, but all audio besides music/YouTube sounds like how you're describing it. I'm on the Pixel Experience Plus Unofficial 8/23 ROM btw. I haven't gotten my system audio sound right no matter how I installed it either. Every time I want to do a video chat with my gf or something, I have to quickly remove Viper and reboot so she doesn't sound like a robot.
Is it still not working properly? Im wondering if shold I install it

How to use it.
Step by step guide plz.
There is already another thread here with working instructions for V4A:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/k20-pro/themes/guide-viperfx-miui-11-android-10-t3994621
Note: Use up to Magisk stable 20400 or Magisk Canary 20401 (driver cannot be properly installed with Magisk Canary 20404 or 20405)
What works for me on every ROM is the following:
Notes:
If you have any audio modification module installed (Dolby, V4A, AML, ACP etc.), uninstall them all first.
In my experience, the Audio Modification Library module does not work anymore to get Viper to work.
--Download the module "Audio Compatibility Patch" in Magisk.
During the installation, you need to press a total seven times (six times without volume test key (1st prompt)) the volume buttons (a way of answering questions by yes or no).
This is the sequence is use.
1. (volume test) - or + (as it doesn't matter which key you use)
2. -
3. -
4. -
5. -
6. -
7. -
That's it, reboot your phone.
--After reboot, install Viper4Android. It's going to ask for root, install the driver, and reboot.
After reboot, V4A should work perfectly fine.

These are major issues.
These are considerable things sir

If these issues are fixed it would be great sir.
I really loved this rom when i tried it. The issue I faced was it does not detect my earphones, it still plays the audio on device speaker instead of the wired earphones. Will try with Bluetooth earpods when they arrive. Any workaround would be appreciated
Excellent ROM, I tested it on the a305g, I hope the next version without bugs. Thank you.
Bluetooth Problems
Hello dev, I really appreciate your work. I tested this on my SM-A305F/DS and most of the features work great. The only problem I am facing is Bluetooth, you never told us about Bluetooth bugs. So I paired my phone to my earbuds (Haylou GT1 Plus) and Bluetooth keeps switching off after 1-2 seconds of pairing. It's unusable. After a while, a box comes up saying "Bluetooth keeps stopping" or something like that. I haven't tested with other devices yet but this bug is pretty annoying, please consider fixing this. Thanks!
And by the way, v1 is acting the same thing.
If the hotspot isn't working, try this method.
Open hotspot settings > set up portable hotspot > Change the device identification to default. Try turning on the hotspot. Good luck
plz update this rom our fix dual sim
Region problem not solved... Its doesn't get changed only phone gets reboot everytime
please update the rom
hello dear cytolytic
I love miui rom, please try to update and make it completely stable for everyday use. Thanks a lot?
Hi,
any luck with the sim slot 2?
i flashed the kernel used by SAKURA PROJECT ROM and the brightness slider works like magic even auto brightness works but unfortunately i still have to use your SIM fix to get one sim slot working, SIM 2 slot still doesn't work.
I have seen MIUI rom working well with other phones by they use the Ryzen Kernel but there is none for A30 at the moment.

Greenify for magisk bootloop

I need small help. I got bootloop on my Xiaomi mi note 10 lite. Something like year ago I had rooted it (after couple days of trying a lot of metods) and I after that I started to use it. By time I have been using few Magisk modules and now I wanted to try some battery savers. I had install GPU Turbo boost and I reeboted my phone. After that I had install Greenify magisk module and reeboted again. Then my phone hangs on bootloop that always finish with Mi recovery 3.0. I can go into fastboot but I dont have TWRP installed. I had enter safe mode but I dont know can I go into settings/apps/magisk and clear data (or uninstall whole magisk) without causing more problems. Is there a way to remove the module somehow without removing magisk?
You need to enter twrp and select the module causing the card machine to be deleted in the twrp advanced options, file management and data / ADB / modules directory

This is the self-help brick rescue module generator made by our domestic great God. After you choose to set it, click OK to automatically brush it into the mask manager! However, you cannot select a language! You can translate screenshots by yourself! The general description of the function is to find that the card machine module regrets trying the boot mode several times. If it still fails to boot after reaching the number set above, all modules will be automatically disabled to achieve the boot effect

Check from the section "Disabling/uninstalling modules manually". Maybe this will help
Thanks all for help I got it working. I read that all I need to do is just restart phone from safe mode and when phone will boot magisk will be disabled and it worked . I had open magisk app, removed module, flashed magisk boot image and its ok for now. Only problem that still exists is with some modules - when I want to install zip file I got extract error.
Safe mode has side effects. It's better to uninstall and install! After putting on the mask, brush in the automatic brick rescue module provided by me, and you can do it at will
If you don't understand, open the application, click the three vertical bar options on the right and directly click to confirm the default!
