Question YouTube pro battery drain - Vivo X Fold

As you can see in the picture, YouTube consumes almost my entire battery in a very short time.how much is your consumption? and can I somehow reduce this? because the way it is now, it is not reasonable.

It might be an issue with the app or some kind of incompatibility.
The normal YouTube app does not behave like this.
Have you tried YouTube ReVanced? It might work better...

That usage is not normal, use another app like Vanced (still work) or as OrionBG said ReVanced.

Battery issue

Hi,
Since a few days I have a strange issue with my battery.
All of the sudden I get a reboot and then the battery is almost empty.
First I thought it maclaws cm11 caused this, but now I am on stock ROM it also happened, twice today.
I also noticed that afterwards the battery is charged very quickly.
Could it be that the battery is broke?
I attached a Screenshot.

I would say it's normal. Here in Germany it's Summer. A phone can get quite warm when it's 30°C in your room. If you charge your battery while playing, your phone gets easily 40°C warm.
But @flash- is right that it's better to keep your device as cool as possible! Follow his hint, try Greenify or look for other stuff that helps you saving battery. What saves your battery, keeps your device cool too!

What's keeping my phone awake? (Screenshots)

I finally took the plunge and rooted. I've never had to in the past, but right now I'm trying to figure out what the hell is sucking up my battery.
Here's what I have so far: http://imgur.com/a/ki8bY
Having this scenario, what would you say chews away at my battery?
I think Spotify is at the top of the list because I was actually using it, so I don't think it is an issue. However, when I look at screen on time vs awake time, I see numerous occasions where the phone is awake without me using it.
That graph just shows us surface of the iceberg, use better battery stats
Or GSAM and/or Wakelock detector.
You would be getting a good estimate of what's eating your battery.

Mine is pretty good, stock 4.0.3+ElementalX kernel with default settings
i also have this issue its just android taking lots of battery and not letting the device sleep
I had the same issue, greenify and naptime solved it and i know drain 0.2% an hour overnight on 4. , Android's built in doze is still not good enough imo.

greenify root mode agressive doze eabled, naptime aggressive doze enabled. Not sure really of the benefit of having both as they seem to do the same thing but i saw better results using both, naptime doesn't mess with whatsapp but greenfiy would do so that leads me to believe they work differently.

This is insane.
A kernel can make that much of a difference???

I don't have the knowledge to do it. I could barely root this thing following step by step instructions, but I don't want to wonder off too far into the weeds as I don't know my way back if something happens

Follow the instructions for Elemental X kernel tweaking and you should be getting between 6 to 10 hours of SOT time.

Thanks for the video.
However, I sort of agree with the first comment. You have a beast of a phone and you're underclocking it to achieve better battery life? Sounds strange :S
@Lancez What settings are you running on yours? Plain default as it comes out of the box?
I didn't bother with greenify anymore, I just enabled aggressive doze in the oneplus battery settings itself and it works similarly.

what are your governor settings set for, default interactive?
I get average like 7 hours of SOT with like 24-26 hours off charge....
maybe like <1% drain overnight
And I dont need to put my phone to charge over night anymore \o/ lol

Nothing special, ElementalX kernel with default settings, didn't tweak or change anything in aroma installer. disabled touch boost from CPU tab in EXM app from play store, try it it's worth the little money.
I deleted S Health and Swarm and I feel like I'm doing better today: http://imgur.com/a/7mta9
However, I have an S3 watch, so not having S Health is kind of a bummer

Abnormal battery drain onscreen per hour?

So I just installed AccuBattery Pro and my battery drain while on screen is 12% per hour. Is this normal or is it too high? This is for WiFi-only usage scenario, I use Netflix/YouTube, read some PDFs, chat via Messenger, surf the Internet (Samsung browser), sometimes I visit reddit/instagram/snapchat. Majority of my apps is put to sleep when not used. I have the Exynos variant.

10% - 12% battery drained per hour seems so normal in my opinion. Mine also faced the same as yours and I always got pass 9h of SOT.

Mate 20 Pro Performance Mode

I was looking for the option to turn it on today but did not find it in the Battery section which is where it was on every Youtube video I saw. However I downloaded Antutu and got 310k score. I guess they removed the option to turn it on or off and left if on by default. The score I saw online were around 303k with pre production models.
hmmm...... keeping an eye on this thread with interest. great post.
I have seen that setting but I don't remember where.
I'm looking for it right now.
I'll let you know where to find it once I find it again.
But I know that it is there.
PS: Found it. For me, it's in settings> battery.
My device is from Vodafone Germany.
This coming with new firmware, I have no video effects I thinks this coming soon

I don't think that it's turned on by default.
It's not supposed to operate in that mode at all, let alone all the time.
Remember, it was only added because Huawei was caught cheating.
Performance mode coming with firmware 122

If its not turned on how do you think Im getting 310k in antutu. Mate 20 Pro in Youtube gets around 303k with performance mode ON. Otherwise it gets around 280k.
I've received mine unlocked from the Carphonewarehouse. I too don't have the option and have scored 303500 on Antutu with my battery at 65%
I have build 113 and can turn performance mode on. I also have the video AI effects and other stuff. As stated above, there is a new firmware coming any day now .

I'm actually wondering if this is what they are accused of with cheating. That is, that AI is recognising and putting the device into Performance Mode automatically when it recognises a benchmark test happening?

Do you have a pre-release phone? I have a feeling the ones they are shipping were manufactured and boxed before 113 was ready and most will not see that version and be updated to 122 that is being talked about.
This is mine score

I think performance mode will future proof this phone as currently we don't need it. All games can run at max and smoothly. Another question, is shadowgun legends not compatible with this phone?
Yes run with max and 60fps
