So I installed android 12 custom rom Pixel extended but I did not flash any gapps as I did not think it was necessary,.
Everything's working fine and smooth but I can't activate google assistant using my voice as it shows, Google assistant is not available for my language.
I have changed assistant and phone's language but no success.
After looking through some forums , I think i found something like it needs 'Google hotwords' etc.
Does someone have a solution?

I installed Allo, having been told that Google Assistant will come with it. I have a OP3T
After downloading it seems nothing more than Google Now?? Is there something else I need to do

Allo will allow you to use the google assistant only within the application it self. If you would like google assistant instead of google now then there are different ways to do that.

1. So even when I open Allo, it seems no different than Google Now
2. Could you help me get it working like it does on the Pixel [Non root]. I had the Pixel and really liked Google Assistant

Sure no problem... So for the first question. You have to send Google assistant a message. So on the bottom right corner of the Convo list click new message icon and chose Google assistant.
2nd question download this app.... It works perfect and will give you Google assistant but you need root.

Unfortunately, you cannot get Google Assistant to work in the same way as it does on the Pixel without rooting. Downloading Allo does not activate Google Assistant through your Google app, it simply lets use it server-side. To enable true Google Assistant, either root or wait a few weeks. Google has stated that they are officially releasing Assistant on all phones with Android 6.0+ "soon".

You can use Freedom OS. There's google assistant which I'm using. You just need to select it in the Aroma Installer.

i'm living in italy but using android in german, ith google beta app and google play services beta
according to the requirements for assistant, our phone should be supported
Try to turn your phone to English/US. Then delete Google app data and play services data. Reboot and check. If assistant is enabled, change back to your language. Works fine for most phones. German assistant should work, it does for me.

ok thanks, i've tried it, but it did not change anything
As you can probably know, Google Assistant does not work on any China or xiaomi.eu builds. Anything I tried failed.
Some people, including myself, reported audio issues due to Google Assistant, fixable by disabling the Google App.
My question is: has anyone managed to make Voice Match work on these devices? If so, what did you do?

Audio works ok with Assistant enabled in Mi Globe (using 9.8.1 pie). But Voice Match doesn't work, it disables automatically if enabled in settings.

I have a very annoying problem and I would really appreciate it if someone more experienced could help me with some advice:
I have a MI CC9/9Lite that I updated to MIUI 12 20.8.20 Beta, China ROM (I absolutely despise the EU Rom, so please don't tell me to just flash that).
I did not manage to install the Google apps through the "Google Installer" app from Get Apps (first time after install crashes, then freezes at 3% every time) so I installed each component separately (Google Services Framework, Google Play Services and from here everything else).
Everything works perfect, except it doesn't
I get an error on every app that loads a map telling me that "Google Play Services are updating". I have tried many and I mean many versions of the Google Play Services from APK Mirror, APK Pure, even the one from Get Apps. I have granted absolutely all permissions required to all Google apps. I have chose carefully the corect architecture.
The dirty message "Google Play Services are updating" still appears and none of the maps load. This applies also to Mi Fit, wich I installed from Get Apps (why does a native chinese app need Google software to run???) and other maps that are not based on G Maps technology.
The last few days have been crazy. My girlfriend will not speak to me because I only play with the phone.

After installing Evolution X ROM Google Assistant Voice Match (OK Google command) doesn't work ("OK Google" greyed and it writes "The feature is not yet supported in this language"). I already tried to make Google system app, but still doesn't work. Also tried to change Google Assistant language to English (USA) (I usually use Russian), but no any effect. What can I do for it works again? (Voice Match worked on official global Xiaomi rom).
