Try Downloading the newest Play Store APK from Apkmirror. if an update does not fix it, try uninstalling the Play Store and then install the APK again. This seems to have helped other people having this issue here in the forum...

update helped me

Playstore and dependancies need a lot of update to keep Google stuff in working mode.
And it seems after each update, they kill something.

Can't download from Play Store

Hi All,
Since my Touchpad has decided not to wake up anymore, I thought I would revisit my Nook Color. I had it running CM7, of some variety, but immediately flashed a version of CM9. I found I could not download anything from the Play store. I wiped everything, re-flashed, and had the same problem. So I flashed back to CM7. I still can't download anything from the Play store. It just shows the download bar, which does not progress at all.
Any thought on what could be causing this?
Might be that the date isn't set properly in settings. I've had issues with both play store and amazon because of that. If that's not it, try either stopping play store and clearing the data for it, or reinstalling gapps.
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk 2
Do you have the latest .gapps installed on the nook color? You can find the .gapps file on cyanogenMods wiki for it. Make sure its the latest one for CM 9
I'm using miui with os 2.3.5 and just updated to latest playstore, v3.7.13 and anything i try to install, gives me back a "The application Google Play Store (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
Someone, please?

Play store stopped working for me on MIUI some time ago, I didn't see anything definitive in the MIUI threads, I didn't bother trying to fix it as I'll probably try a new ROM soon. For now, I'm using GetJar. Would that be enough, or do you need the Play store?

Android M Snapchat Force Close

Anyone's snapchat forceclosing on android M? I just updated my snapchat and it opens and forecloses right away. Please help.
Just google snapchat apk and download a version that is 2 versions old.

Missing Native Libraries
Hiya,
This is caused by the Snapchat APK not having the libscplugin.so and libsccrypto.so native libraries within the armeabi-v7a folder.
These are required in order for the application to sign the login requests.
I'm not sure why they haven't included them in that build, must be something to do with the Android M ABI configuration.
I extracted the libs from the APK downloaded from Google Play with Lollipop and then Android M.
The Lollipop APK has all of the required libs in armeabi-v7a folder, and does not include an x86 folder.
However, the Snapchat APK downloaded via Google Play on Android M contains an armeabi-v7a AND an x86 libs folder...
The issue here, is that in the APK for Android M, the libsccrypto.so and libscplugin.so do not exist.
This is what is causing the force crash when you press the login button.
No idea how long it will take Snapchat to fix this, but since this is a preview build of Android M, it could be an issue with Android M itself, not sending the correct device information to Google Play.
Cheers,
Liam Cottle

You kind of have to go with the expectation that some things just won't work right when running a preview
I was having the same problem, but the newest version of Snapchat (9.13.0.0) and the beta (9.13.2.0 beta) work fine on Android M Preview 2.
I have tries the latest beta. It doesn't seem to work for me. I've only been able to get 9.9.00 to work for me. What's your setup. I'm running stock preview 2.
I'm on stock m preview 2 latest beta works fine
Okay so I discovered that it won't let you log in on the latest but if you're already logged in then you can update the app and it should work.
So just download 9.9.00 and log in then update.

I did this on Preview 2 without realizing it and it worked, but then installed it from the Play Store after flashing Preview 3. I ran into the same problem on the new preview, but the same workaround solved it.
I just did a 100% fresh install of Android M-preview3, and here's the steps i took to get Snapchat working on my phone.
Downloaded Snapchat from the Play Store, v9.14.1.0
Tried to login; Force Close!
Uninstalled v9.14.1.0
Downloaded v9.9.0.0 from Apk Mirror
Installed v9.9.0.0
Tried logging into the app... Login successful!!!
Went to the Play Store and updated the app to v9.14.1.0
Ran the app... No force close!

How'd you manage to login? When I try to it says that version of Snapchat is no longer supported

I've got the same problem, looks like Snapchat doesn't support the old versions anymore, so you are forced to update the app, but when you do it you can't log in because it crashes.. You have to wait until Snapchat fixes the bug. I am going back to Lollipop, can't live without Snapchat

I am, until Snapchat publishes an update or there is another solution, but I think that this workaround was the only one..
Has anyone else discovered a fix for this?

Here's a workaround. I haven't tried it yet.
Latest Snapchat update works for M!
No problems with Snapchat on m
Updated to the new version of snapchat and can finally log in on android m. I'm having issues with the new lenses feature and recording video snapchats. anyone else?

Did u used advanced nokia x2 tool or something else? Anyway Its been noted many times on XDA. Upgrading play store causes this problem. Dont know of any solution yet. So use old version of play store.

I do downgrade to old version of play store , but it continuously gets updated to newer version again and again .
But now in lower version also the all images aren't loading. Only few images load not ALL.

After downgrading disable auto update from settings of play store.
Problem of some images not loading may be due to internet connectivity.

Search for lucky patcher on google. After installing u will find an option for installing modded play store. Just be careful to install old version(I think its 4.1.6) or u will not see images. And yes root, busybox needed.

Someone in another topic has suggested this:
- uninstall Facebook and Messenger app
- download (from Apkmirror) latest Facebook and Messenger beta apk and install it
- from Play Store, disable auto update for this two apps
I've same issues and I risolved with this tips
It happens couple of times after fresh install but when it successfully downloads what it needs it disappear.
I had the same problem with facebook , but it stoped by himself
I had this too with some google apps after MIUI11 update. After two days or so it stopped, and I heard that this was a Google Play Store server related problem.

How does YouTube Vanced work?

I installed both modules from magisk but still get the video ads in YouTube... What am l doing wrong?
You have to uninstall stock YouTube updates, disable auto update in Play Store, flash the module, then open the regular YouTube, it'll show up as Vanced.
And don't use the dark theme.
Thanks, I don't know how to install stock updates... I Uninstalled from the play store and reinstalled with the auto update box unchecked... But how will I know for sure that Vanced is enabled? Will it say that anywhere in the app?
I've used older versions of youtube vanced in the past without issue, but lately I haven't been able to get the magisk and rooted versions working. Now instead - I disable stock youtube (or uninstall using Titanium Backup), uncheck stock Youtube's auto-update, reboot phone, install microg and then install the non-rooted vanced's apk. Then I'll see an app called "Youtube Vanced."

Ah gotchya. Personally, I've never tried that method you mentioned. I don't like any of my apps to auto-update because sometimes it messes with my themed apps until the developer updates the theme. Thanks for the tip though :good:

stopped working for me. So i unchecked the module rebooted. cleared cache both types. Then disabled. Then reached magisk module, then rebooted then went to play store and clicked uninstall then open. Working perfect now.
