Still rocking XZ3 with stock Android 10, I think is time to update, questions - Sony Xperia XZ3 Questions & Answers

Hello guys, so as title says. I am still using my non unlocked bootloader Xperia XZ3 for EU and dual sim card version.
Was thinking to update to some new nice fresh version.
But I am not sure which one to take.
1/ Stay on the stock Android 10 and use it as always till today?
2/ I saw Sony released some libraries for Android 11 ? Is there some official Android 11 version for XZ3 ?
3/ Go the good old Lineage ROM way ?
Thank you guys for your tips and suggestions.

I have the same phone. I also think you need a x64 computer to get the software to the phone. I read that you need a x64 computer and 200gb free on the harddrive. May be wrong.

if you love your camera stay locked bl and android 10.
no official android 11 is released for the phone but we do have a alpha android 13 rom

Flashing chinese firmware to international Mate 40 Pro possible?

Is it possible to flash the chinese firmware to international phone (NOH-NX9)? I have tried firmwarefinder and downloaded the firmware, put it in "dload" folder but upgrade fails.
Due to a locked bootloader, you won't be able to do so.
Don't do that man! Will brick your phone
Not now, just wait patiently for a few months! Unlock BL before flashing! There is no software support yet. Waiting for sigmakey. After releasing the software that supports Kirin 9000, you can flash the Chinese version—i am also to waiting change to China version

Don't do it. Chinese firmware is the only way to install GMS in EMUI 11 devices.
Acutally there is a way but I don't know. An admin of Vietnamese Huawei group can do that and charges about 10 USD to convert from domestic version to international version and vice versa.
But the international version won't work with GSM installation method.

Domestic =Chinese market???
If a international version it's transformed into domestic, is there any chance of success installing GMS?
I would pay 10 USD in a heart beat if there is a proof of success.

Do you know if the conversion (from international->domestic) can be done remotely? If yes, I'm interested and I hope you can share his facebook contact. Many thanks in advance.

Flashing EU version of XZ2 with US software ?

Hi !
A question : SONY released recently an update for the US XZ2 variant, but those dumbheads of course skipped the rest of the world.
My question is, if it would be safe to flash this new US software on my XZ2 EU variant ? Would that work at all ?
Greetz !

Question STILL NO CUSTOM ROM FOR OUR BELOVED REALME 8

Do any of you guys know any custom ROM for this device ?
TWRP is available, so you can root your device and optimise it, but I dont think there'll be a custom rom for your device, mainly because it has an mtk chipset.
Yes
Wish there's one
gsi images is a great way to customize our phone.the problem is the dynamic partition.we must find a way ,to flash a gsi image in the dynamic partition.
i think we can start the fastboot mode over the twrp recovery.i dont no ,how usefull this is to flash a rom.can anybody with more practice test it. iam not sure if i can flash the system.img easily to the system partition.
Custom roms will be available after when realme release official bootloader unlock tool (deepest.apk) because unlocking via mtkclient corrupts dm-verity and fastboot mode.
Thanks Tony for the information
Thanks Tony
Hi together,
do you expect some custom ROMs to be build soon?
Realme 7 has also MTK helio G95 an there are several custom ROMs available.
Looking forward to your professional experience!
Best wishes

Have a nice sunday all together!
Hi together,
that's what Realme answered:
"
Dear Customer,
Greetings from realme!
Thank you for writing to us.
We would like to inform you that we are constantly working to improve our user's experience through regular updates based on our receiving suggestions and feedback. We do not provide support for bootloader for EU region
Please note, if you root your device / unlock the bootloader or add any custom ROM to your device and later wish to flash back your device to official version, you may visit service center to get the services within warranty. However, if in case, official version doesn't get installed due to any software or hardware issues, services at service center will be considered as out of warranty.
Warm Regards,
Team realme Europe"
Seems there will be no official bootloader unlock in the future
Sad to hear it !
Guys please don't root your smartphone and don't unlock the bootloader , no need as there will be no custom rom for this device

I asked again but it seems bootloader unlock for Realme 7 is also not supported but there are several custom Rom available…
Here Realme‘s answer:
„Further, on the basis of your concern we are not unlocking the bootloader of any of realme devices (including realme 8) till further update“

If bootloader for Realme 7 isn't supported than how can so much custom rom for that device be developed??
i mean, you guys could just try using KingoROOT to 1 click root your device and then remove bloat/optimise the installed stock rom

Question How can I change global redmi note 12 pro+ (without BL unlock)

Help me please?
How many method is there to change global in xiaomi?
Since your question is not explicit, you cannot change version (Global to EEA or others, etc.) or downgrade without unlocking the bootloader.
To summarize you can only update the installed version.
Now I am using this phone with china version. I bought it from china. But I don't like this version and I don't want to unlock bootloader. so I am finding other methods like hardware method(redmi 8a). But I am not a phone repairman.
Is there any other methods for rubypro? I really want to know.
(note: sorry for my eng skill)

The price of the motherboard and the labor will cost you relatively expensive and provided you find the part.
Edit:
Anyway you bought a Chinese version with soc Mediatek and:
Few or no development for the Mediatek soc
Impossible to re-lock the bootloader with a rom of a different version than Chinese.

If you install a golbal stock rom on a Chinese device and re-lock the bootloader, the phone is bricked.
You can't do this on a locked bootloader.
Global stock roms work on Chinese device and Xiaomi Eu rom as well.

And u can't unlock bl (In this device case as we have mtk exploit still working we can flash via sptool)
the OP concerned the change of version not an update. who will download a global rom for it installed on a Cn rom with a locked bootloader?
