General Dual Launchers on Vivo X Fold - Vivo X Fold

I'm just curious has anyone attempted to run dual launchers on the Vivo X Fold? Like Niagara or Square Home (Launchers for tall phones) on the exterior screen but when you fold it open, you have something like a Win-X Launcher on the interior. Just trying to gauge the amount of work that might be required to pull this off, before biting the bullet and purchasing the X Fold S/+, once it hits the market. For more clarity, I'm looking to do something like this -

Wow, looking good, hope someone here will try it and hope it working

Quick question, but simple!

Hello,
I have the Razr i and the lack of accessories is killing me. So can anyone tell me what other phones have the same dimensions as the 890? I have seen on here comments about the Razr M being the same, except for the camera button, but also that things won't fit as they have been designed for the M, suggesting sizes are different! So can anyone confirm what's for the M will or won't fit the i? In particular I look at the Otterbox cover for the M and think it'll do the job (bar the camera button cutout)
BTW, I've been on to Motorola UK back in November who assured me the accessories were 'imminent'.
Yeah right.....
The M has exactly the same shape as the I .
I do use the official M car dock with my Razr I and it fit perfectly.
Of course for a cover you'll have to cut a little bit if you want to keep an access to the camera button.

Hi,
I can confirm that the Razr M has the same dimensions as Razr I and equipment shaped for M also fits Razr I except the hole for camera button. But if you're looking for cases I must warn you that I've already bought two hard covers and neither of them fits perfectly. The obvious reason is that both RAZRs are wedge shaped and it's hard to hit such shape. Possible solution is in buying soft cases or more expensive ones.

That was my concern with the cheaper cases. I usuaulyl keep my phones for a couple of years at least, so a more expensicve case is fair enough, and as the Otterbox jobs are ~£30ish I'd expect a bloody good fit!

Galaxy Gear broken-ish. What should I get now

Recently my galaxy gear has started telling me the battery is critically low as soon as it comes off the charger and shows a full charge. It reboots often spontaneously. Sometimes won't connect to the phone. All kinds of dumb stuff. I tried resetting several times. But at this point, I know I have the best buy protection plan on it, so I figure why not trade it in on something new.
I'm just not sure which way I want to go. I have been leaning more toward the LG G watch R and Moto 360, but want to make sure I am not ignoring other good models. I am currently using a Samsung note 4 edge, so I have most options available to me., but again I have been focusing more on android wear as opposed to Samsungs devices.
I like the LG G watch R, minus the possibility for burn in, the more expensive price tag and the slightly smaller screen. And everybody seems to dislike them now that they aren't doing wifi on the R. Should I also look at Urbane? It's even more expensive, but I feel like my galaxy gear was like $250, so I do have some money to put toward it I guess.
The 360 has a bigger screen and wireless charging, but has the flat tire, the older processor and smaller battery and while my wife likes it, I'm not in love with the cylinder on a strap look. Everyone says it looks classier than the sporty LG. But something about a big round thing on a small strap looks weird to me. I almost wish it had the Strap connectors(not sure the official term) like the LG has. I did just see it looks a little better with a metal strap as opposed to the leather ones.
I haven't looked at the zenwatch as much, something about the round screens were appealing to me. But maybe I should look into it more.
And then there are samsungs, gear live, grea 2 neo, and gear S, should I be looking at them? I don't need the gear S's standalone ability.
Maybe I will get biased answers here. But I figured it was a good place to start since I didn't really see a general smart watch forum.
Thanks!

SlimType Smart Cover

Has anyone bought/used this as yet, looks like a really good bit of kit. Looking for some user input before I dive in.
Can be found here for info www.slimtype.com
Got an email saying available in the US yesterday.
Concept is great but my fear is a scratch gate scenario like the clear cover.
That is a stunning case! Let's hope they start shipping to the UK soon. I actually payed more than the SlimType price for a genuine Samsung Clearview (which hasn't scratched the screen, ever) so the £39.99 is amazing.
Bad news guys. Got one from amazon. It's not good. I'm still using a samsung relay 4g with slide out keyboard. Got a samsung s6 and this cover to try it. Very nice idea, nfc, nice keyboard (there's an ok trade off between non-clickability and thinness) but the ergonomics don't cut it:
1-they answered a question on amazon saying that you should use this laying flat on a table. But even then, the screen would be flat on the table, you should get something to prop it up. Or it should have some form of stand or origami like folding thing.
2-if you use it like a slide out keyboard phone: you can rest the (rather heavy) phone on your extended index fingers, and type with your thumbs. But this is awckward and uncomfortable for more than a few words. Plus I have small hands and the keyboard, which takes the whole area, is too big for me, plus having indexes extended below the phone holding it make it very difficukt to type the keys on the extremes of the keyboard.
I don't want to kill these guys with a bad review on amazon because it's a really fine quality, original and innovative product, but it's really missing something. Like honges so the phone stays in place when you hold the keyboard, or some form of support rhat does.
Just my 0.02

Has anyone used the 'dual' screen for the Velvet?

I am interested in the 'Dual screen' thing that is available for the velvet. As they dont seem to be available, I would like to get some feedback on it, before spending any time tying to track one down,
Any Opinions?

What would you like to know, since i have one
This is a good review of dual screen, pen support and desktop mode, it's in italian langauge but it's intuitive:
Im writing from my LG Dual Screen right now. It looked cool and was fun from the beginning but now I feel the dual screen gets in the way a lot. I purchased mine directly from LG and believe I paid around $200 US for it.
I am interesed in using it as a flat keyboard or pen capture/side by side book notes on the move.
on the telegram (see https://android.fandom.com/wiki/Velvet ) they say it s good to play games ...
I quote the @CryptoBushido (Bushido) user :
"buy drasticds and you can play nintendo ds games with that"
It's a nice gimmick, i used it for a few weeks. It makes the phone just to big and heavy in my opinion. It is great for multitasking tho
I got my LG Velvet 5G just to get the dual screen accessory.
Pro:
- Each screen can run some apps independently. I run chrome in two instances, one on each screen to do comparison research.
- taking notes on phone while on a zoom call
- works well in A frame position for watching video
- watching YouTube video at the same time to fix an issue on the phone
- I dropped phone many times but case takes a beating and protects the screen better than curve glass screen protector (broke two screen protectors so far)
- when I need a simple smaller phone, I pop the dual screen out and put my phone in regular case
Con:
- add weight to the overall phone (but I got use of carrying it) Feels more like having a big otter case but at least the bulk and weight is useful
- about 20-30% more battery drain with dual screen on
- only charge the phone via wireless fast charging 10W or the proprietary magnetic USB C adapter (I only got one) with my case $200US but adapter is like $30US?!?
- hurts my wrist, not from the direct weight but holding angular weight with one hand (like holding a tablet from a corner with one hand. Sure you can grip from the back of the phone like a book but still awkward and not a stable grip.
- also zero car docks to hold the phone and be used while being open. I finally bought wireless charge all at home & work and move my magnetic USB C to the car for my Android Auto and modded my phone car cradle to allow holding the phone open. But doesn't hold it perfectly, sometimes a bump will drop my phone.
- taking pictures with 2 screens is not useful (at least to me) I look like those people taking pictures with a big tablet lol.
- not all games actually support the gamepad screen. Wish support was better
- typing in landscape is odd and honestly I use Google Voice type more than pecking away as screen keyboard on one screen or two
Despite the cons. I still love dual screen after getting use of it after operating like this for 7 months. It's like getting use when you first put that second monitor on your PC. But after I don't know how I work without 2 screens on a phone.
All I know is I will living the dream when light & durable foldable phones are a norm.

Well, i bought one and received it. The quality is really poor compared to the vivo original black one. I wanted to match my blue phone. Wrong idea. I will keep my black ordinal vivo. Better coverage, better material.

Eek, great advice! I got the blue colour phone, so like you - wanted to match. Maybe i'll not bother!
Hi, so far I see this is the best looking case for the X Fold but the only thing hold me back is the shipping take over a month to come

The only problem is that you will not get the wireless charge anymore. With that metal piece on the back.
And i you read comment, you loose fingerprint unlock on front screen... Too much inconvenient for me.
I ordered the Vivo case with the phone. Quite happy with the protection and it doesn't add a lot of weight - the phone is already heavy enough!

this is what i got. i didn't like the front frame, so i removed it. it blocks the bezel. you see, there are functions nowadays (such as sideapp menu, back button) that require user's finger to hold the very tip of the screen for half a second before the menu popups. then again, without that frame you may damage your front screen if it falls. secondly, the stand in the back requires a hard surface in order to hold it stilll. then again, i wouldn't say this is a bad case overall. but it has its flaws. the rest i am satisfied. the material, the durability, it fits well and it covers the side well.
