Question Shadows on screen... bug ? - Google Pixel 7

Hi there !
I have the Pixel 7 and i'm very happy with it.
I've noticed something weird yesterday :
When my phone is beneath full sun and when looking at a white front page, i see 3 sorts of shadows. 2 on the top right and 1 little in the middle. I see them only in full sun condition.
I wonder if it's a screen bug or if it's a material shadow under the screen (camera material reflexion ?...)
Thanx for your help.
this pic is not mine, but it's just to show you the shadows location

It's the proximity sensor under the camera, and other sensors. We all have them. It's normal.

Thanx for your help ! Glad to read that. But its true that once i see those shadows, i always see them !

This is how it looks on my Pixel 7 which was delivered today (i had to exchange it due to some defect and didn't recognized it before with the previous device).
I was really shocked as i have seen that. That's where i started searching the web for this.
But is that really state of the art quality of such display panels? I just wonder if really each Pixel 7 has this.
It seems the display panel of the Pixel 6 at least does not have this big shadow which looks like a big battery symbol on the top right corner. This big shadow annoys me the most.

[Q] Dead pixel or ...?

I just got a replacement N7 since my first one stopped turning on or charging and this replacement one seems iffy. This little spot on the screen is always there, and is only not visible on black screens.
Any thoughts on what it is?
Attached is the best pic I could get of it...

Hi, lostchopstik...
Could be 'stuck' pixels....
I assume you've tried rotating the tab to see if it would move/go away?
Try installing one of the many SCREEN TEST apps from PlayStore.... you can scroll through various test screens.
If the 'artifact' refuses to disappear, and if it's something that's too much of an irritant to live with...
...get another replacement...
It's just not worth the hassle of being bugged by some screen defect... if that's ALL you're going to be looking for, EVERY time you turn on your tab.
Rgrds,
Ged.

[Q] Purple hue in center of photos?

Ran a search on the forum just to make sure this hasn't been posted before, but I may have missed something... Excuse me if I did
When I'm in the camera app taking pictures/video, and am shooting some kind of dark fabric, there is a noticeable purple hue in the center of the display. Other shots (landscape, hardware shots) don't have the problem.
Below is a GIF image of my black trackpants and the burst image captured with my One.

Notice how the purple hue is constantly moving, disappearing and reappearing?
The linked image isn't the best of quality, and the in-person shots have a more noticeable discoloration, but should this be anything I should worry about?
My Moto Atrix 4G had a very similar issue, but the problem later bled into everyday shots where everything had a blue discoloration in the dead center.
Anyone else have this "problem?" It's not bothering me too much, just don't want it to come back and haunt me in a few months.
Secondly, does anyone notice that the brightness changes when you use the camera app? If you start out with minimum brightness and use switch to the camera app, your brightness increases temporarily (assuming this is by design and not some kind of odd bug on my unit).

[Q] Display issue

Just got this phone today and notice an area where there is a reddish tint. It is a 2 inch horizontal band in the center of the display most noticeable on white backgrounds. Is this something that might go away after a break in period? Has anyone seen this before?
I am having a similar issue to the one you describe. Mine has a bit more of a pinkish hue, and it is at the bottom of 1-2 inches of the screen. Shows up more on white backgrounds. Trying to decide if I should get a replacement or not. It's very subtle, but I can definitely see it.

Well, now I don't know if I should get this replaced. Took a picture with it on an all white screen...

EDIT: I will say, while I notice it on white webpages or in gmail when looking from top to bottom, that pic looks WAY worse than in person, lol.

I'm thinking about returning as well, but afraid that I'll get one that is worse.

Screen defect - Vertical banding

Hello everyone,
So, I recently bought a Lenovo Zuk Z2 Pro, and I noticed some weird darker vertical lines all along the screen. These are not always noticeable, but when the background is greyish, they particularly are.

Unfortunately, I can't resend it to the seller (in China) because of the lovely customs in my country who won't hesitate to tax the replacement phone, even though I've already had to pay 101,45€ of fees the first time.
I did my researches and I found out an app named "Screen Equalizer", that allows to permanently display an overlaid image with a low opacity, in order to correct the yellow/blue/etc. tint that some users are experiencing with their screens.
So my question is :
-> Is there any application that would do the same job as "Screen Equalizer", but with a "customized" image ?
My idea is to take a picture of my screen, and reproduce the lines in Photoshop, put them in white and upload the image in the app with a low opacity to lighten these dark lines.
Of course, it is necessary that these added lines soften depending on the color of the screen, in real time.
Does such an app exist ? If not, is it realizable ?
Thanks !
You can use the app "designoverlay" and disable the grid. But I don't know, if you can hide the lines with that.

Spots under the display

My Mi 9 have spots/stain under the screen, its visible in dark room with low brightness, especially when displaying on apps with grey/dark backgrounds.
Anyone else have something similar?
call me crazy but i think they could be sensors. the one spot i have is exactly where the in screen fingerprint scanner is, same size and location. but theirs also a small one far top left, don't know what that one is.
I had also spots on the display, I returned that unit and i got already a new replacement that doesn't have any issues.
Even my Mi A1 has spots, but it looks like it's a glass manufacturing issue, not the display

the top left one could be the under screen ambient light sensor as pictured in the linked image

Here's the official "teardown" https://c.mi.com/thread-1856339-1-0.html
It's not any sensors or something like that, it's literally like dirty spots between the glass and the screen. i would guess it's the glue they use.
This is happening when is activated anti-fliker mode to my mi 9 lite.
