Question Face Unlock Disables Biometric Login on Some Apps - Google Pixel 7

I just got my Pixel 7 with A13 QPR1 Beta and noticed that if Face Unlock is enabled, the biometric fingerprint login on some apps gets disabled. I understand that many apps with biometric logins are not optimized for Face Unlock, but they should not get the fingerprint disabled.
Also, the fingerprint is really, really finicky. Half the time, it doesn't read the fingerprint. Kind of reminds my early days with Pixel 6.
Does anyone else have these problems?
[Update] Filed a bug report with Google on this. Google classified it as Severity 1. I guess I found a significant bug.

Smart lock trusted places workaround.

Trusted places works (including fingerprint lock) if you open up maps and aquire a location then close the app. It's crazy, but it's a work-around for anyone with issues on thier Galaxy S6 until Google fixes play services.

How do you get the fingerprint to be used for payment authentication on Play Store?

When I make a purchase on the google play store, it's either asking for my system password or wants to do a face scan for payment authentication?
How can I get it to use the finger print scanner? From my understanding this is far more secure than the face unlock mechanism on the S10.
Anyone know how to enable this, and if it's not whether this will be coming to the play store soon?
Thanks!
Play store settings. See screenshot.
Yup I've done that, it still doesn't work. Can anyone confirm that they've gotten it to work. I see you don't have the settings activated. Is it possible the google is going with facial recognition because I have it activated, so I should disable facial recognition?
Thanks

Adhell 3 - Installed but Now Cant DL from Google Play?

I didn't want to hijack the Adhell 3 thread so am starting a new one
I managed to install Adhell 3 yesterday on my S10 and absolutely love it (the Internet is so snappy!!) however I've just gone to install an app from Google Play Store (and update an app) and it freezes at the installation part, draining rate battery. The only thing I've done different is install AH3 but have whitelisted Google Play Store as I was thinking the blocking of the app was what was doing it but am still having issues. Really not sure if the 2 are connected, its just the other thing that's changed since I last installed an app (right before I managed to get AH3 on my phone)
Did you by any chance disabled device security app in Adhell?

ha! I did!!! In another battery optimization forum, some people have had success with disabling the device security meanwhile others have had it "break" GPS...in my case, it "broke" GPS
It gets better, you can use the DNS changer in Adhell3 to setup say, 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1 Cloud DNS
instead of use the VPN app which makes banking apps not function, and w/o having to run some code over ADP to change the system DNS.
Ohhhh!!!!

Can these issues be fixed on China P30 Pro VOG-AL00

I got a p30 pro as a gift in China and coming from a Pixel 2XL, this software is incredibly frustrating.
My 3 main annoyances are:
1. Google Pay doesn't seem to work. Everytime I try to setup my card, an error message says "Can't complete setup for contactless payment. To resolve this, you'll need to contact...." This is so annoying, why bother allowing the app to be installed in the first place? In Settings, you can even choose Google Pay as a default payment app.
2. Notifications do not persist on lockscreen. E.g. when using Spotify, the playback controls show up initially on lockscreen, but disappears shortly after. Once a new song starts playing, the controls show up again. Same goes for all kinds of notifications like email, messages, etc. They do show up after unlocking the phone, but even if I don't dismiss them, I can't see them on the lockscreen. I've turned on the Show on lockscreen option in all the affected apps, but no dice. I disabled face unlock and that doesn't help neither
3. Google assistant. In settings, the Access with Voice Match toggle is greyed out, so there's no way to trigger assistant unless by opening the Google or Google assistant app.
Searching these forums has been pointless, no one seems to know how to fix these issues. Now Huawei doesn't even allow unlock bootloader and root anymore....
Has anyone found any workaround?
Thanks and have an awesome weekend

What are the current issue with stock Android 10?

It's time to clean my phone so I might as well update. I'm currently at Pie November update. My question is what are the main Android 10 issues in summary with our device and are there any serious hiccups for the average everyday user like me? How is the battery life like and such? I need an adequate answer not something like "it sucks" so if you're going to write something of that sort, please refrain from doing so. Thanks in advance.
DON'T UPDATE YOUR PHONE FIRST SEE THIS
Basic things work but I face issues many times. Most common Ghost Touch, Phone Freezes for 10-25 secs and then comes a popup System UI not responding and then wait or reboot for phone to get normal. Everything else works properly but update only if you can handle these on daily basis. I have 4/64 GB variant and my usage is somewhat basic to medium with 3-5 apps in memory and phone starts freezing. Also I would say compared to pie the battery loss has increased
I rooted and stripped out all the garbage (feedback etc.) including most of the Google stuff, and I have zero problems.
I would say, however, that battery life isn't the greatest but that may just be the phone and not the OS.

Could u pls add more detail what r those bloatware s.. planning to root soon
Wireless range and speed tanked (you can find kernel with pie driver as workaround. Most custom roms use pie driver as well).
Slow emmc that causes the well known frequent hangs. Even just typing on keyboard you often get stutters.
Settings suggestions won't go away.
Battery charging behavior changed: it charges at full speed with screen off, but with screen on it throttles to 1000ma or 500ma as battery temperature increases.
If you're gonna bother to reset and stay rooted, I'd suggest going custom rom already.
