Hi, excellent rom, but it’s not possible to activate Bluetooth

{Mod edit: Quoted post has been deleted}
Ok thank you, I will try it

@KkjSasuke, could you copy here the bluetooth fix?

Bluetooth Fix:
With Root -> MiXplorer (or similar app) -> Vendor -> Build.prop -> Change ro.product.first_api_level to 29 -> Reboot.
Without Root -> TWRP -> Mount Vendor -> File Manager -> Same as above.

Awesome! Thank you!

I'm currently running the latest stock rom on my S965U (I'm with T-Mobile). Is this rom stable as in minimal crashes/ basic functions like calls working? How does battery life compare to stock, and is the camera worth using? I heard that rooted roms for the S9+ don't perform as nicely in terms of quality compared to the stock rom.

h Hi. i flashed your rom. everything is fine until done and reboot the phone it boots into Bootloader. i tried changing to orangeFox and it's still the same?.

Hello! In this Rom, both sim cards work on 9650?

Since the Sim card is not inserted and operated, I do not know if the SIM is working, but the ROM itself is working almost perfectly except for Bluetooth.
For the problem of not being able to use Bluetooth, a fix Magisk module has been distributed by Telegram, the ROM builder. Please check it yourself.
And then, USB OTG, which seems to be an issue in other threads on other models, is not a problem either; both MicroSD and internal memory are properly recognized via USB connection.

Hello. I tried to flash rom and got an error saying the rom is for star2qltechn and my device is star2qlte. Also, using an app, it tells me star2qlteue. Is there a way to install or am I out of luck? Any help is appreciated!!

S9+ SM-G965U1 (star2qlteue) is probably a North American model, as inferred from the model number.
The ROMs introduced in this thread are East Asian and some other regional models such as starqltechn, star2qltechn, crownqltechn.
Perhaps the ROMs cannot be flashed because the vendor part is different.

S9+ SM-G965U1 (star2qlteue) has SDM845 Board and Chipset, so it may be possible to Flash it by rebuilding ROM. Well, I am struggling to build the ROM now, so it is difficult.

That is what I was afraid of. Thank you for the fast reply.

Hi! Should I flash this rom over stock firmware? Or do I need to flash it on a clean smartphone?

look strange on s9+

open the zip and edit assert to star2qlte instead of chn

Thank you! Any chance I could get a small tutorial on how to find? Sorry, I haven't edited a rom before.
Edit: I think I found it bit just to be sure...
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "star2qltechn" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "star2qltechn" || abort("E3004: This package is for device: star2qltechn; this device is " + getprop("ro.product.device") + ".");
If this is it, should I edit all 3 star2qltechn to star2qlte?

So far it runs perfect. Really nice job! If anybody doesn't like the way the fingerprint scanner registers touch input when the device is on, just use a root explorer to navigate to system/usr/keylayout and find the uinput-fpc.kl and uinput-goodix.kl Open them in text editor and add a # in front of the word DPAD (like in picture). Then reboot and that unwanted behavior will stop.
What vendor and Firmware used here? I am on Eu beta latest. I had been on 10.2.11.0 Indian firmware before installing eu beta. Will changing firmware causes any issues, like ARB issues?
I have the same issue as you but I now have boot loop
Will it work on Indian Variant?
Thanks for making this rom, ill wait a bit to install

Anybody with decent sense of moral will naturally avoid the one with developer stating "Never trust anyone too much, remember the devil was once an angel." in his signature
Also, it's good for users to tell which is better. Without users' opinions the developers can't strive to develop a better rom. Nothing to do with rudeness

FIRMWARE
Global firmware is mandatory for this ROM.
Recovery for OTA:
Arrow Recovery: Gdrive link
Install Instructions:
Spoiler: Expand
Start with unlocked bootloader and grab a PC with windows or linux, or mac if you're desperate
Download all files to your PC, not to device, place them in your platform-tools folder
1. Open CMD, and navigate to your platform-tools folder. then fastboot flash arrow recovery (file name may differ from example command)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then boot recovery
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
2. On device, navigate to "Apply Update" & select "Apply from ADB"
3. On PC, issue the command to sideload the ROM
Code:
adb sideload "name of file".zip
Wait for it to complete. Stuck at 47% is normal as the process completes on device.
4. On device, navigate back to home screen (top left arrow) and find "Factory Reset"
Factory reset the device, formatting data
5. Boot and enjoy
Dirty flashing:
Just adb sideload the zip and reboot, that's all!
Tips:
- if adb sideload fails, unplug and replug the device to PC and try again
If you install magisk or other mods, do not ask for support
I discourage mods, but zips can be sideloaded like the ROM if you need custom kernels etc

You can use magisk and modules. I just meant that I can't offer support for you in terms of bugs if those are installed.
Rom has to be completely clean
Next version will use Pixel Experience trees by Zinadin Zidan
Format data/ clean flash *may* be required
New build is up. New tree, new vendor, not much else changed.

I'm so f**kin glad you've picked up this project. The last Arrow rom for apollo/apollopro from Feb 22nd works so well but I've been scared that I'll have to ditch it in favour of something which gets security patches. Here's hoping you crack on with this! Plans to roll out without gapps in due course?
How was MEMC? Is it working?

Thank you for this very light and smooth ROM.
Clean install on my kltekor G900K ROM+OpenGApps+Magisk 23.0
Some issue :
-Fingerprint doesn't work
-HW key setting is missing (button back lights, home button wake etc.)
-Pill gesture navigation doesn't show up and back gesture doesn't work
-At glance doesn't show up
-Samsung clock(bold), not bold
I tried havoc 4.2 klte cnkzlyr build before with kltekor LOS18.1 kernel, i think the problem same.
One chronic issue I've found with all of the ROM development is that BT intermintently crashes/stops working/disconnects.
Any solve for this?
Thanks.
I have tried this rom and get chronic BT crashes. Is there any rom that doesn't have this problem?

I have managed to get kernel 4.4 working on capricorn, all features are working including fingerprint sensor. The latest 4.8 version (and all future versions) have FBE (file based encryption) enabled, which is easier to work with and use than traditional FDE (full disk encryption) in previous Android versions. Because of this change, you MUST use the FBE enabled TWRP recovery linked above in order to access your files in recovery mode. In case you missed it, here is the link again:
FBE enabled TWRP: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664781581
If you are coming from a 3.18 based ROM (you probably will be lol) you MUST format your internal storage directly after flashing the ROM. Backup anything important first.
Source code related to the 4.4 bringup (including kernel source, device trees and HALs) are available here:

Look at the device group you are in. You are in the completely wrong place for this.
After installing not start. I use the Experience Android 11 Pixel rom.

Sounds like you didn't follow the instructions fully. Read the second post.
If you are coming from a 3.18 based ROM (you probably will be) you MUST format your internal storage directly after flashing the ROM. Backup anything important first.

Read post number two. Then read post number eight, which reiterates the important bits of post number two.
Can you integrate command "adb shell settings put secure show_rotation_suggestions 0" (disabling screen rotation icon) directly into the firmware?
updated builds(with swap buttons) will be released?

hey,
since the original post the twrp 3.6 has been released for capricorn, in the changelog for 3.6 i saw FBE mentioned. can we use the official TWRP from now on?
also you mentioned an improved internal build, I would be grateful if you were to release an updated build.
It has been mentioned before - LED is always 100% bright and some kind of brightness control would be a great improvement. I see no issues with this ROM and it provides the most functions.
in about device it doesn;t show that i'm using 4.4 kernel. It's still showing 3.18. Is it normal?

You say Camera is working. Does that include the Auxiliary Lenses ?
Can you please explain what is the difference between Extended and already available AOSP version in this forum ???
Also it would be very appreciable if you can upload Screenshots.

I am using OrangeFox recovery. I tried format after flashing th ROM, it didn't work. The previous Alpha Pixel ROM worked perfectly. This one seems wrong.
