Question Xiaomi Developers are MORONS !!! - Do not update Framework Services - Redmi Note 11 (spes/spesn)

Hi All,
So it appears my phone has now died, and I am guessing it's the same issue that's affecting everyone in this thread....
I believe my issues occurred when I updated the Framework Services.
So DO NOT UPDATE FRAMEWORK SERVICES if you get the notification....
- Xiaomi staff/developers if you browse these forums, let it be known YOU ARE MORONS !!!
Please reply back to all of us, whose phones you've now broke and data potentially LOST !!!!
Anyone with a working phone, can you check the file name that is associated with Framework Services. And will see if I can uninstall/pull the file with ADB commands in Fastboot. As Fastboot is the only system that is stable at the moment...
Cheers, Lister

Hi All,
Ok, I might be getting somewhere with this....
So the package name is : com.xiaomi.xmsf
And here the offending/good versions.... Things all went a bit Pete Tong when upgrading to 6.0.5, before that things were rosey....
So, I've managed to sideload 5.4.2 via ADB commands, and it said Success.... I can now see my old desktop/icon layout, and not the basic/safemode version that been stuck in.
But things are still far from stable...
Xiaomi, if you're still reading.... you're still MORONs.... Where can I bill you for wasted time ??

How did you do it? I can't enable USB Debugging, the phone restarts before I can even click OK...

Yeah same.... I already had USB Debugging on from the start. I removed the corrupt version, even forced the old original version back on. But yeah, the same... keeps rebooting.
I am hoping Xiaomi MORONs will release another version of Framework Service that restores any of the corrupt builds out, god knows there's a few now.
This update SUCKS.... I have a feeling gonna have to say goodbye data...

Hi BernardBlackBookshop,
Yeah, I only assumed it was the Xiaomi Framework Services... as up until that point, I hadn't installed anything else new. I too am on the same version as you, I've not received any notification yet to upgrade to A12.
The X F S was the last thing I installed, and was at 6.0.5 when I installed, so assumed that at the time. We was all trying to do anything/everything to get our devices back alive. The 6.0.5 came out 2x days before I applied the update, and died the following day without any other changes.
I see that X F S is now upto 6.0.8, which updated too... and no side effects yet. <pheeeew>
So glad @AdonysGames found the solution that day, as I was very close to wiping my phone and all the data with it...
Cheers, Lister

yeah keeps forclosing for me too and i downloaded loaded and uninstalled like 5times lol i think this is just happeneing with rooted g1's =/ downer
yeap happening to me too. i wonder if it was intentional?
i think someone found a fix for it via the T-mobile forums.
Meh. I have found an easy fix. hint: Build.prop

Dang it. Using Rogers ROM so it's still labeled as HTC Dream. =/
I too am having problems. For all those that need the old version, I am including it in this post. For those that might know how to fix the new one, I am including it in this post as well. Just unzip. Both files inside. 2.0 is obviously the newest version.
Mods, I don't think this is a problem, as the app is not protected and readily available on the Market.
Thanks in advance to someone that can fix it, and I hope the old version helps someone who might have forgotten to back it up.

ok i have something strange to report...
i have the new version installed (2.0) and like everyone else it wont open BUT
my battery level just dropped below 30% and my phone got a notification from My Account 2.0 and when i clicked it a popup came up giving me suggestions to save my battery by changing some settings...hmmmm FC but still running in the background...
2.0 myacct
i am also getting foreclosures hope it was an error by tmobile and theyll update tomorrow or something i cant believe they would target rooted ppl.
Anyone with a JF US CRC1 rom tried it?
Could be that since most of us are on anything but the T-mobile rom that it does this
I mean most of these ROMs are based of ADP or AOSP..
I'm not sure, and maybe im just talking non sense..
But also someone in the comments said they had a Google Ion and it didn't work also..
So this could be ONLY for T-Mobile branded phones?

Give credit next time. There is some property in build.prop that the app is looking at to see if our phone is supported....dont know which tho since my ROM's build.prop keeps going back to its default every time i apply a "fixed" one.
The app is getting a NullPointerException, I don't think it has anything to do with being rooted or not.

So what IS the build.prop change that we need to make? And will it hurt anything else if I modify it?
See my post above...its using the build.prop to detect if we can use it...thus this error on some rooted phones.

goood luck
First thing needed: Google USB drivers, if you install them, they'll install automaticly after device plug in.
Second: unlocked bootloader, i don't remember what command is for that (i've done it a lot time ago) but on google site it is. Of course, you need to do it by fastboot.
Third: recovery, TWRP from their site and flash by fastboot.
Fourth: rom flash by recovery, it'll be easy.
Little instructions for you
finally I am all good with Nougat on my Nexus 5
Hey all, I am kid from 80s who have seen computers and internet Growing Up Right in Front of Me. I was feeling the same exictement that I had while installing windows 98
I spend almost 5 hours in one single day and I was a kind of shock after having a Nougat on my Nexus.
One thing here is for sure that restart may resolve problem in windows on 1st try but on the phone have to be patience and still rebooting the device may solve many problems...
Thanks a lot to seniors and other developers for their job....
It can't be more short

Yep, here as well. I have a unlocked M8s. Update is small, contains only system improvements....

Doesn't update the security level, is still @ 1 oct. 2016. Not sure which improvements have been made...

I don't think so because I installed this rom(0PKVIM[email protected]60201_20.05_018_F_release_479349_combined_signed.zip). This update appeared after installation it.
I mean my phone is Vodafone branded. I'm on version 2.11.161.1.
I received the update today. However, yours appears to be much larger in size. Mine was just about 24MB.

I received an update few days ago, but 24Mb also. And i'm in France too.
There is an update notification. 2.21.401 (previously I'm at 2.20.401).
I have downloaded it. Does anyone know where it is stored now after download ( I selected install later)
The phone biggest problem it has been getting hot to touch as it is playing youtube videos. It then occasionally gives an overheat warning. i am hoping this will be fixed after update.

I don't know why mine was 638Mb. It is strange.
I found my update a fota inside the htc sense region of my /data/data directory
It was about 24-26 MB.
What does the update do? I tried unzipping but it cant be unzipped. I didn't try everything . I really nervous am made by ota updates.
I want to know everything it will be changing. I operate by "if it ain't broke don't fix it" adage... and it ain't really broke in any way.
I haven't tried everything yet. I probably wont install it since the phone is working well. What if it screws my phone so I can't boot twrp or something.

Don't get your hopes too high up, HTC didn't announce Nougat for the M8 nor the M8s....
As far as I know they only managed to release Nougat for the M9. Ten still doesn't have a legit Nougat in my family. We have a Ten and still no Nougat OTA.
I am corrected today. I just found out the ten does have the Nougat now.
I don't wait anything from HTC anymore. This phone will be last HTC for me.
To clarify, is this update for M8s or the M8? Because you are posting in M8s forum.

Moto G9 Play bricked by booting wrong twrp?

Hello forum, if someone could help me finding out, whether I bricked my device doing a pat step, or if it's still possible to recover it, I'd be most glad!
After unlocking the bootloader, it might be, I did a wrong step restarting too soon or something, or trying to boot into a wrong twrp-version. Actually I don't remember each step, as this happened a few months ago...
Thank you for now,

if you still can, boot into fastboot and on your pc type
fastboot -w reboot.
if it doesn't work then consider using this firmware updater https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-stock-rom-for-xt2083-reteu.4214883/

ouh, don't think so. I choose it for being said to be a bit lighter. But I am thinking of changing back to LineageOS for /e/ is a bit too close to conventional ROMs, regarding the user surface. But actually I don't know the newer versions of LineageOS.

Upgrading Redmi 9 questions

Hello peeps,
I recently purchased a Redmi 9, it came with MiUI Global 11.0.7 Stable (QJCLMCR). I've been trying to update it through the phone butI haven't been able. Some friends that already have MiUI 12 told me thatsince I purchased it through the phone compnay they modify the ROM to add their apps and stuff anf that may be what's preventing me from updating and I'd have to update it manually if I didn't weant to wait.
I googled how to do it manually and it involded downloading the ROM but they seem to have a different version than mine (QJCLMCR) I don't know if this would work with mine or if I should check anything before installing it. I seriously don't want to mess up my phone so I'd appreciate any help with this. Does this would work with my version or do I have to look somewhere else?

Bro , from which country do you come from? it seems you are from Colombia . You have an operator modified version of miui, in your case I think it's Claro. You cannot update manually, nor use one of those roms in the image since you can hard brick your phone. You have two options: Wait for your carrier to release the update (which usually never happens) or change to the Global Rom, you must unlock the bootloader and flash via MiTool.
And you can remove the Preinstalled apps with ADB ! (you must be careful!). Cheers!!!
