IGO 8 Navi doesn´t work on Touch Diamond...

I tryed to install IGO 8 Navigation but it doesn´t work....
When i install it and want to run it it begins to Start and stops without doing anything...
Does anybody know how this can happen or what i can do ?

Use search feature it is very interesting feature of forums and I am 10^10^10% sure you will get an answer for your question.

I am having the same problem with this program and the old program after updating to WIN6.1 from HTC on the tTyN II, anyone have any idea if their is a patch/fix somewhere, i had to un-install the WIN6.1 update and wish i could have it back as it had some great new features....

This indicates that it`s not an Diamond problem but WM 6.1 problem ... good to know.

not a 6.1 problem, had it working on my p3300 wm6.1 touch 4. struggled though, went back to tt until i get a more powerful beast. did take a couple of attempts to get it to install and go though, just put it down to lack of resources

Does anybody managed to run iGO 2006 or iGO 8 on HTC Diamond ???

I have a solution for you . Download new torrent "iGO 8 - without installation.rar".
copy iGO 8 on your device , edit the sys.txt file and remove this entry :
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"
Now just copy what you need from iGO 2008/iGO8/content... to your device iGO 8/content...
[this files is in torrent Igo 8 - FINAL FULL + CRACK ( working licence ) zip]
tick the iGO8 application file
enjoy !
I tested on my PDA (internal memory) - working great

What kind of PDA did you try? Dia? I think no.

Nav N Go iGO 8 work for me on MIO P560.

It works on all devices it seems, except on the Diamond. What you propose has been tested already, without success.

I am sorry to inform you, but Nav N Go iGO 8 does not support any device without SD reader.
On http://www.navngo.com/pages/global/eng/igo_8_supported_devices you can find the list of compatible devices.

I am Happy to inform you that your list is not update. you can add HTC Athena and HTC P3600 (Trinity).
interesting info: working in Athena when not installed in SD. working from microdrive.
i've also heard (hate say something from what i "heard" but if it's true is real an important piece of info) that nav'ngo will install on Diamond if you'll pay them a visit (Hertzelia, Israel). Going to pay them a visit next week and update you.

damn! this smell like warez! here? watch out i got a warning for much less than this! i'll hate to loose you after only 3 posts!

Probably on startup iGo checks for a SDCard reader (not the card itself) and if none exists it will exit without any further notice. This explains why can we fire up iGO without a card on devices that has an SD slot. Does anyone knows a device without SDCard (internal reader can be a trick!) reader that executes any version of iGO? Any software that can emulate a reader?
If this is the case it can be cracked easily but I cannot debug iGO8 on my device. Anyone able to do this?

i like the idea of fooling the igo, making think that there is a sd reader somewhere in the vicinity... makes sense. that's why athena can use igo...

Hi,
When I try and start the webserver I get an error:
"An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions"
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I used Version 1311 without Webserver (see Post 2).
Install XAP and start Navigon, download Maps...... be Happy

Got the same error, did you find any solution?
Anyway, downloading the 1311 version now.

Found the solution, I had my local web server running, i stopped it and no error message appears anymore.

What tool are you using to install? What error do you get?
I had no problem to install it (v.1321) in BTTF rom. I used TOM XAP Installer 1.2. But double clicking .xap installationn failed, so I ran TOM XAP installer as admin explicitly and add .xap file there to install. It works that way.

Yeah I actually ended up getting 1321 to install fine.. it turns out my whole issue was trying to get the north American maps to work.. which didn't really work out at all so I've given up trying and will just learn to live with Bing.

simply install, send content to phone and change language in menu settings...

I cant find language in menu settings - only "change region" with die default setting "EU". Do i have to download the "additional data" via wifi first?

yes... simple change region to AU in Navigon
1. get AUS and NZ data filesets from Android Navigon V3.6.0 for Aus.
copy data,map,poi,sound from sdcard to your pc. use these files to replace all EU files(of course you also need to download all files of EU firstly).
2. install xap to your WP7, latest version is here, download data from kounadisk web server.

[Q] Region setting help please

As a new user of a HD7 I am trying to purchase aps from Market Place but cannot register my credit card details because :-
I'm British living in The Netherlands.
My UK bank / credit cards have my Dutch address as the account address as is normal, but even when I set up the HD7 settings to show Netherlands as my region the Market Place credit card address page always defaults to ENGLAND as the country of address. Hence my cards cannot be recognised.
I need to change the Market Place address to default to Netherlands but it won't
What can I do ???

i think you have to play with region/language under settings
you have region format, system locale and browser/ search language, change settings there, you said you changed region but did you change system locale?

Market Select allows one to change Marketplace region.
region returns to default with every Soft Reset.

Things were so much easier on my HTC HD2 ( WM 6.5 ).

not sure what Htc_Apps.xap is, but it certainly isn't my Market Select app.

hmm. I am guessing you haven't ever unlocked your device, then... if that is the case, you won't be able to sideload XAP files.

Sorry for bothering with a silly question but I'm still trying to figure this phone out....I don't seem to have a DLOAD folder on my external sd, will it work if I just create one?

Silly me lol. In the end I simply flashed the thing in recovery and it worked like a charm, then proceeded to reflash recovery via adb, rerooted and all is good now.

yes,that's what I did too , no problem, seem works better with more free Ram.

Replacing old note 8 7.1.1 keyboard

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy note 8 Snapdragon with root v3 running 7.1.1 on it. I removed the stock keyboard with oreo keyboard ( Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta 3.0.10.34. ) the problem im having is it wont install US English Language so no swipe to text. Ive tried clearing cache and wiping data and still no fix. Any suggestions?

I had the same issue with Oreo Samsung KB. I don't use swipe but it's the same issue that causes predictive text not to work & US English won't update. If you install UK English, predictive text & swipe will work but US English will disappear. Then you can't get US English back unless you clear data for Samsung KB.
Here's what I did to get it working, really simple. Extract the folder in the attached zip. Copy the entire en_us folder to /system/omc/sipdb. Set permissions, reboot.

I use Root Explorer but any root file explorer should be able to set permissions.

Took a bit of time, figured it out by diggin around, flashing back & forth from Oreo to Nougat. Luckily TWRP made that easy for me. I currently like Nougat better but I like the Oreo keyboard.
Since it worked fine in Oreo, I figured it had something to do with the language files so I looked for them. They get installed in 2 different locations depending on CSC. I use T-Mobile CSC on N950F. I noticed if I used International CSC like XEU (which is my original) or other multi, everything works fine, US English didn't need updating, & the language files gets installed in another location. With Nougat it doesn't install the same language files like Oreo, or at least not in the same locations & works fine with the Nougat version keyboard. There were actually 2 other language related files but those 2 didn't make a difference if they were installed or not.

Please help me. The same with me.
