Question OPPO A74 5G VoLte problem. - OPPO A74 5G

Hello.
Tell me who knows, otherwise I can not understand.
Faced the problem of activating VoLte on the specified phone, 4G turns on and VoLte does not start. Hardware version: cph2197_11, software version: cph2197_11_c.44.
The problem is that there are no VoLte settings in the phone settings, neither through the search bar in the settings, nor when searching manually, it is possible to find the possibility of activating VoLte. The SIM card is obviously working, and calls on it go through VoLte on another phone.
Actually the question is: how to enable VoLte on this phone? I ask for help.

Someone has managed to enable the VoLTE in Italy (specifically with TIM)?

Hi, I recently purchased a Nokia 8 on Amazon (Italy, unlocked, TA-1004 EU6) and I am on the latest build (00WW_4_390). My carrier is TIM.
In the network settings I don't have the enhanced LTE toggle for HD Audio on call. Like someone else, if I search it in the settings, it appears among the results, but refers to the menu without its voice. In the hidden menu (*#*#4636#*#*) provisioning VoLTE is enabled and both data and voice are indicated on the LTE network.
Among the options of my SIM I have enabled the service "TIM Voce 4G" (aka "TIM Voice 4G"). So on my line the VoLTE is enabled and the Nokia 8 fully supports it.
I know that the carrier must also support the specific device, so I ask: someone in Italy managed to activate it? If yes with TIM or other carriers?
I did the initial setup of my Nokia 8 without the SIM for the issue of the alleged block of updates from the carriers (I don't think that things are like that and I explained why in the appropriate topic) and I wouldn't want this to affect the correct configuration of some carrier services.
Hello everyone.
As you know from the post above, I have a problem with enabling VoLTE on my Nokia 8.
Until a few days ago I found myself with a smartphone with full support hardware and software at VoLTE and with the relevant option active on my SIM, but my carrier (TIM) hadn't enabled the Nokia 8 to use this technology on its own network.
Now TIM has enabled the Nokia 3, 5 and 8 at VoLTE, but the option to activate HD calls continues to be inaccessible.
I also tried to subscribe to the beta program, but the situation is the same with both Android 8.0 and Android 8.1 (january security patches on both).
TIM has also reset the network, but they say they have no problem. On my Nokia I also reset the network options, as well as move the sim on the second slot, without success.
Are you aware of any way to force the display of that item? Once I remember that on Nexus 6P it was enough to disable VoLTE provisioning and disconnect from the network, or something similar.
Thank you all and sorry for the double post.

ok i just quickly checked several utube videos and i see “global” device have VoLtE icon.
So I guess with global rom it will be fix bro
I have the Chinese variant of the Mi 11 Ultra and by default, I was unable to see the options to enable VoLTE and VoWifi.
If you enter the following codes into the dialer, it should work:
VoLTE *#*#86583#*#*
VoWiFi/WLAN *#*#869434#*#*
These codes disable/enable carrier compatibility check. Then go into Sim Card and enable VoLTE or VoWifi.
Since VoLTE is required for RCS in Google Messages to work, enabling this also allowed for 'Chat Features' to be ready on my phone.
Quick note: I am in Canada on the Virgin Mobile Canada network.
I did this but the icons never came up.
I'm in australia using telstra and got the china version

Did you get the pop-up stating "carrier check disabled"?
Go to settings>sim card & mobile networks>select sim 1>you should see the options here.
Hope it works!

Yeah I got it and enabled it but I can't see the volte or HD icon?
Have you rebooted?
Have you made a call to see if you stay on 4G?
I'm using EU ROM now but has VoLTE on my Chinese stock, see attached image

Even I face same problem I'm using boost sim ,I've enquares the Carrier but they said they support vote , I'm not able to get volte working in my device
Same issue. Got the Chinese variant of the Mi 11 Ultra, running 12.5.12 EU ROM and I'm on Boost (Australia). I've done all the dialler codes and still no VoLTE icon. Calls drop to 3G.
i've done a deep search regarding VOLTE on Telstra in Australia as I am facing this issue too, and I found out the following result:
This issue happened because Telstra did not share its network settings with a few companies, Xiaomi, Oneplus, and others.
On a different thread on Oneplus section, there is a way to fix it that requires root, so we add Telstra settings manually, but whenever a tiny update shows up, then we'll need to repeat it. a restart won't affect it, just an update because it replaces modified network settings file with original one.
so to summarise it, unless a software update with the new settings come up, then it won't work.
And btw, the VOLTE is working on MIUI first version of 12, and MIUI 11. but after the update, settings lost. and this is not an issue with MI 11 ultra, it is with all xiaomi and oneplus devices and a few others.
Do not waste your time on it, and just cope with what we got and be patient.

Thanks for this information, sincerely appreciated. My only concern is Telstra turning off their 3G network by June 2024. Let's hope the issue is solved before then. Fortunately my call quality is completely fine without VoLTE at the moment as reception is good. I'm sure other providers will start turning off 3G too. A very odd issue and I'm really surprised it hasn't been fixed.
Did any one manage to find a solution ?
Any solution yet to make volte and vowifi work on Telstra and boost Australia? Thanks

VoLTE and WIFI calling in US

Hi everyone,
Have a global version of X5 Pro.
Trying to make VoLTE and VoWIFI working on T-Mobile in US but no luck.
No toggles in SIM settings and toggles in Phone Info are grayed out.
Any ideas to activate it?
Same with me, I started another thread or two concerning this issue but I believe it has to do with T-Mobile's VoLTE/Wifi-calling provisioning relative to the Find X5 Pro's firmware?
Of course the phone supports VoLTE and WiFi-Calling, so I'm not sure why at least the latter won't work (or at least have a toggle). If you google 'how to enable WiFi calling', most people tell you to set (or re-set) your E911 address because it's a necessary feature of WiFi calling. Ive done this on the T-Mobile website AND with a support rep on the phone, but still no toggle to enable.
I haven't found anything about this outside of XDA so perhaps it's time to submit a ticket directly to Oppo.
Edit: could anyone from the EU/UK chime in on whether they have the toggle options for VoLTE/WiFi-calling? I think we need to identify whether the problem is based on region/carrier rather than the phone.
Pulled from a recent T-Mobile forum post about the same issue (but on multiple different phones):
"In order to enable WiFi calling from an unlocked phone, there appear to be several components which all need to align perfectly. The the phone must have the physical capability, obviously a WiFi antenna. It also seems to rely on VoLTE provisioned and WiFi calling provisioned abilities.
The former carrier must have unlocked the device and its IMEI for use on another carrier.
The current carrier must have enabled WiFi calling, and also configured an E911 address.
"Exactly! The firmware in the Sprint S8 is not compatible with T-Mobile’s WiFi Calling implementation. XDA might offer some work around through flashing or root, but through normal methods, WiFi Calling on such an old device that actually has carrier specific firmware isn’t going to work with a different carrier for those feature implementations. "

Question Not seeing Network Preference under Enable Wifi Calling Tmobile USA

Hello
I just got this phone and set it up. Its a Global version 13.0.4 SKDMIXM.
I am on TMoblie USA - the phone is working great on LTE and 5G .
I am not able to see the Network preference under wifi calling where is can select Prefered Wifi Calling.
It appears that its running on default Prefered Cellular - because I can only see the VoLTE symbol on top.
Can someone help me in fixing this configuration to select Prefered Wifi Calling ? TIA

Hello, I'm using a 11T Pro Dual SIM India model with India SIM in Slot 1 and TMO SIM in Slot 2.
I have not found the specific setting to make Wifi Calling "Preferred" but, my phone does indicate Vo WiFi even when I have Wifi connected and Mobile Data turned on too once Wifi Calling is enabled as below.
Apparently the Voice Over WiFi Settings (at least here on my phone) only show up for SIM 1, does not show for SIM 2.
Attached are sample screenshots where the Settings are under SIM 1.
Steps to get there-
Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks > Click on SIM 1
All the way down, last Setting is "Wi-Fi Calls" to enable "Make calls using Wi-Fi".
Hope this helps.

Operators can disable this menu if they want to lock you onto Wifi preferred or cellular preferred. Does this only happen with this phone or does it also happen with the SIM in another Android phone?

There's a possibility of TMO-US not supporting WiFi calling on the Xiaomi 11T (Global), perhaps.
Although, I have been using various Unlocked phones (Nokia & Samsung) on TMO-US for the past few years & have practically never had issues with WiFi calling on any. Shall have to test it once I'm back. Won't be for some time.
Is your phone on the latest firmware? Try updating it to check if there's a new update available
which hopefully can solve your issue.
Couple of options to test, in case you have not already tested them-
a) leave WiFi Calling Enabled then disable the VoLTE feature and check if WiFi calling works?
b) disable Mobile Data, WiFi Calling enabled with WiFi connected and check if WiFi Calling works.
c) some users have had to ensure their E911 address is correctly in place on the TMO account too.

I had a working One Plus 6 - so I know TMO has VoWifi - I use it a lot due to poor reception at home .
The current workaround to force VoWIFI is
Turn On Airplane MOde
Turn ON WiFi only
then it works in VOWIFI with out any issues
I know I am missing a menu Item that can toggle this setting . I would prefer having that setting but its not a breaker for now . The phone works with all the Network features of TMO , LTE , 4G , 5G etc . No visual voicemail thats all.
Thanks

Perhaps you might want to give this a try-

Thanks - this code is what got me to where I am now . I think from other articles - the mbn config may require some tweaking - but it refuses to give me access to it when i use *#*#663368378#*#*
Same access issue here too.
Wish you luck.
Pinging to see if there is a soln. in future.

Question S21U - Problems with data dropout upon receiving call

Is anyone having an issue where the data network drops from 5G to 3G upon receiving a phone call?
On S21 Ultra, Telstra network.
Have tried Network Settings Reset without assistance, and the telco claims everything is enabled on their end.
I'm also unable to find the VoLTE toggle under Network Connections and cannot enable call waiting - I wonder if this is related.
EDIT: Turns out it was indeed a carrier issue. Resolved with call to Telstra.
It is definitely related. If no VoLTE is set, network will always switch back fron 4G or 5G to 3G to support the incoming call.
Setting to use VoLTE (or 'call via 4G') should be under Mobile Network settings.
You may want to check with Telstra support, as VoLTE may not yet be activated for your device/subscription or apn settings are not correctly set.
@OnnoJ Thanks for the reply. The call via 4G toggle is missing from my "Mobile networks" setting page. I've seen others have a similar issue, but have not found a solution as yet.
Can't believe it - called Telstra again and they now found VoLTE was NOT provisioned! They fixed it on their end and all is working.
