It's the same on any xiaomi device if you can find the rom.
It isnt available for Xiaomi Mi8. There is a MIUI 10 China Developer Rom Closed Alpha Testing. End of this month a open beta should start. (https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/applicable-devices-eligible-for-miui-10.44392/)
We know that the Mi 11 Ultra and the Mi 11 pro have the same firmware.

Android 12 is not daily use... Wait, trust me, there a lot of MIUI features not working, ROM is like an AOSP, just minimalist.
Wait for MIUI 13 (Android 12) is a better choice. It will be launch in Beta in July normaly

Can I install the available start global rom star_global_images_V12.5.4.0.RKAMIXM_20210611.0000.00_11.0_global_5e8da57366.tgz that is available to MI 11 Ultra on the official website on the MI 11 Pro? Or I should use the xiaomi.eu version instead?
It's up to you... On the 11 pro can be a star ROM installed... But .. xiaomi.eu is far better as global , but hey that's my opinion ... The stable of .eu is also better.... It's all based on CN builds . I am running .eu on my 11 pro without issues

If you flash the global,dont forget to UNtick lock!
HI everyone, i´ve been looking for a few days, and after testing, i would like to know if there is any option to install the roms of the Mi 11 or any gsi rom on the Mi 11 pro. After using the method of installing gsi posted on the mi 11 thread, I made to boot all the gsi roms, but with two problems, there was not battery percentage and the display touch didnt seem to work. It was also impossible for me to install properly the roms of the Mi 11 (like Derpfest) with the method posted on its thread. Thanks for the help guys

maybe i didnt explained right, ive tried roms from the mi 11 because of the similar hardware to install on mi 11 ultra/pro, but ive also tried installing gsi, wich is not mi 11 related. I made this post to know if there is any way to install anything apart from miui and the problems i encountered during the process on MI 11 ULTRA. So i think its related to this forum.

Non functional touch display is a quite significant problem....
What would you do with a device that can boot but the touch display is not working ?
