Question Google Phone don't use accented characters in dialer - Google Pixel 7

Hello.
I am a new Google Pixel users.
As a skilled user of more types of Android devices (HTC, Huawei, Samsung) I am missing some things in Pixel 7 and here is one of the importans:
In Google Phone, I cannot lookup contacts with accented characters. For example, I cannot directly dial "Štefan" name, because it doesn't fit to "PQRS" button. Only way is to dial it from contacts.
On the other earlier phones it could do it.
I don't want to install a 3rd party app, if it isn't necessary. Is there a way to dial names like T9 with dialer button from phone app? What do I wrong?
Thanks.

Dial number from email/calendar/etc

Hi all,
I was wondering if there's a way to configure wm6 or via an additional program where when it detects a phone number in a calendar appt., email, text, etc. it adds a link and you can dial directly from the app. I thought I saw this feature in some ROM I tried a few weeks back but can't remember which.
Appreciate any feedback.
Thank you.
Seconded. I thought I could at least copy/paste from an appointment into the dialer, but the pop-up keyboard is disabled in the dialer app. And I don't know how to "ctrl-c" with the Kaiser keyboard.

[Q] Google Voice Actions default email/number for contacts

I love the concept of Voice Actions. But I have a big problem. For contacts that have many email accounts or phone numbers, it uses a random one (that I don't want) as default. I have not been able to find a way to set one as the default for Voice Actions . Setting it as the default in my contacts does not solve it. Does anyone know a solution?
Did you give the other emails and numbers a custom label? If so, say it in your voice action
"Email john doe at work hello how are you"
Sent from my Nexus One
Thanks. But that didn't really do it for me. I tried to do it but even when I say the name of the email it uses the same one all the time. There should be a way to tell Voice Actions what the default email/number you want is, shouldn't there? But setting the email/number as default in Contacts doesn't do it...
There should be a way for voice actions to actually work with contacts period.
They still do not for me!

[APP] A multiple account Google Voice dialer app

Hello,
I've loosely based this app off of supbro's app for the 6.5 Windows system (iContact, iDialer). I didn't use his code but I did want this program to perform the function that I mainly wanted: The ability to pick and choose which Google Voice account I wanted to use to dial a number with.
If you're interested in checking this out, I've attached the xap for it. Thanks.
May 02, 2011 - 7:40pm CST - Updated the application to include a restore settings button and other changes to enable fields incorrectly disabled.
I've been waiting for something like this. I'll install it when I get home and post my thoughts later tonight.
I couldn't figure out how to use this. Is it utilizing the calling card method of dialing or something? It wouldn't let me select my GV number on the GV Info pivot.
I was thinking it would be an easy way to get to a dialer that would utilize GV direct dial but I don't think this is really what I was looking for.
thesecondsfade,
Yes, it utilizes the calling card method of dialing the number through your google voice account so that the google voice number shows up on the other person's callerid.
I didn't implement a select from the contacts list of the Google voice number on the GV Info pivot screen. Rather, you have to type in the number using the numeric pad and input the pin that Google Voice prompts you for when you access your account. After you've placed both the Google voice number and the pin, then you can select the radio button for that account.
As far as I know, GV direct dial only works with the accounts that you can specify the phone number with. Currently, you can only use a phone number with two different accounts. The calling card method is the only one that I know of to use one cell phone number with three or more different accounts.

Accessing mulitple numbers for one contact in dialer

A bit of a step backwards from my perspective on the dialer vs. kitkat. I most often dial a number by spelling the name on the dialer pad, opening the contact then select, home, work mobile, etc. Is there some process analog on the new dialer. The only even loosely similar one I can find is to search contact with regular spelling (not dialpad) and this automatically brings up all numbers for a given contact.
Also, is there anyway to default the dialer to always open to the dialpad?
Thanks much.

Click to collapse
Ugh, the functionality is built in... at least for the first part. When the hits begin showing up based on numbers dialed, simply touch the text/middle of the contact to dial the listed/primary number and the picture or letter icon on the far left to open the contact and choose the desired number. Wow, I'm glad this isn't a step backward.

Samsung Keyboard, remove suggestions learned from Contacts

Hello,
My Note 5 and my SGS6E+ both using the Samsung Keyboard continuously auto replaces words with no typos into email addresses, most of them not even saved in my contacts! This is extremely annoying.
My previous Samsung devices had options when clinking on predictive text to disable some personalized data, ie learn from Facebook, contacts, etc, however I can't find this option anywhere and Googleing ain't helping me either.... I could use swift key or another 3rd party keyboard, but I really am used to Samsungs keyboard and do not want to switch...
Please help!!! Thanks
