Question Bootloader - Xiaomi 12 Pro

Hi recently I tried to install TWRP on my xiaomi 12 pro but instead it made my phone stuck on fastboot, I used mi flash to flash it to the normal rom but it said something about it being not supported so I picked wipe date on the phone and tried to install a different version but, now apparently the phone is locked and I do not know how to unlock it to flash it again. any help will be appreciated please.
Things I've tried
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flashing unlock
Mi flash - I cant flash because the device is locked and I have not logged in with a Mi account.

Which version?
So as not to make the same mistake again if we manage to save the phone.
Which TWRP and which command.
For Miflash you have probably left the flash and lock box checked.
If you could post the Miflash log (Miflash log folder)

I used this guide to install twrp
I put global rom instead of europe rom which came with my phone
I do have another xiaomi device I was wondering it I could somehow transfer the account to my bricked phone then flash it that way

Is the version of your phone Chinese with a Xiaomi EU rom?

I bought it from Here
It says in the description that 'The initial Chinese version has been updated to a global ROM.'
so I'm not sure when I got it I checked the rom and it said the Europe version I tried to update the version but when it was ready to install it said 'your device supports twrp' and I clicked ok to the instructions and when the device booted back up it was in recovery mode and I pressed restart and no updates were made.

It is a Chinese version.
post the Miflash log (Miflash log folder) so I can check what you did.
The log is between 20 and 25 KB and starts like this
[23:28:45 eeab043a]:MiFlash 2020.3.14.0
[23:28:45 eeab043a]:vboytest index:1

As you have on my tutorial, this is the mistake not to do with a Chinese device.
Now to be sure, flash a Chinese rom with Miflash by checking the Clean all box.
Either the phone works again or not, Miflash will give you the error, surely 'lock state'

yes it says failed remote: erase is not allowed in lock state, im trying to get out of that mode I need help with that

Help installing TWRP on Xiaomi mi5

Hello people
i'm aware that there are guides out there, but i'm honestly not the best at all this flashing stuff, i have done it to a few phones but this one needs to be done just right!
So, where should i begin?, i reckon i should start with unlocking the phone via the unlock tool (i am registered and accepted) and then flash TWRP via that tool?
or is the best/only way of flashing TWRP with the ADB fastboot?

my problem now is i have no idea how to get miui 7 on it. Iknow that all CM based roms will end in a bootloop if i try to flash with that on.
i have tried a number of things, last time i tried i ended up with it not detecting my sim card, so i had to revert back to Miui 8

Your thread is getting slightly confusing so let's do it step by step.
Is your phone currently unlocked?
To check, put it into fastboot mode manually without adb:
Turn off your device. Then turn on your device again while holding volume down button.
Plug in your device. Use fastboot:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
Post screenshots.
Reboot your phone. Post a screenshot of your "About phone" settings menu.

I also tried this way.But not miflash tool. I use twrp to flash global stable rom, boot up the rom and flash twrp through fastboot. And then you can flash your favourite rom.
Hi,
sorry to hijack this thread, but i also have problem flashing TWRP.
I have unlocked phone.
I have USB debugging enabled.
I can reboot to fastboot via adb.
I ca flash twrp (twrp-3.0.2-1-gemini.img 25.2M 2016-07-19 18:48:36 EDT).
But when i go to recovery i still see Mi PcSuite thing. No twrp.
What am i doing wrong? IS there some other, more appropriate twrp image?

I got mine sorted out, what you are missing is when you are done flashinh you have to type "Fastboot reboot" and then set TWRP to default recovery
hope that helps you out
Same problem for me, when i type "Fastboot reboot", my Mi5 reboot quickly and after when i go to recovery i see also Mi PC Suite....
Do you have a workaround ?
Second question, is it normal that time to send TWRP.img to phone in ADB is only 0,9s ?

Big problems after bootloop

Hi all
Unfortunately, I'm having serious problems with my new Mi8, which arrived yesterday. It arrived with Global ROM and opened Bootloader.
Switch On, set up, data from the Mi6 pulled by NFC, all tutti. the Mi account I have connected here too.
Then I wanted to play the xiaomi.eu. TWRP installed via "Minimal adb and fastboot", installed via TWRP then the xiaomi.eu-ROM (newest). Has also worked. When setting up the point that I can play back via NFC what was not displayed, or I have overlooked him. Okay, again from the beginning, I thought. Have then reset the phone to factory settings to repeat the device.
Then the phone stuck in the bootloop. Again and again the Mi logo appeared and "unlocked", disappeared and came back, disappeared and came back. I did not get into the TWRP anymore, just into the fastboot.
On advice of different users on FB and another forum I should flash the Global ROM again over the MiFlash tool, which I did then also. Unfortunately I carelessly chose "Flash-and-Lock" and closed the boot loader. Unfortunately, this flash did not work and the phone now only starts in recovery mode 3.0
Due to the closed boot loader, it is not possible for me to install TWRP again, to flash another ROM with MiFlashTool. Also, the Unlock tool does not work, because I get the error message that the device is not linked to my account. I have also tried to install a recovery mod on the Xiaomi PC suite, as the bar remains on the PC but at 0%, on the phone remains the image with the pictured Mi8, after I in the recovery menu "Connect with MiAssistent "selected. Otherwise nothing happens.
With the latest version of the PC suite flashing works, but still boots the box in the recovery mode and the red font remains. Another user in the other forum said that I need the CN version, because on the CN device no EU-Rome is allowed. The CN version is rejected by the PC suite not get verified.
What else can I do. Do you have an idea that helps me getting the phone back on track?
This, for me, is the biggest joke of Xiaomi! Many users are getting stuck in this new policy! That does not exist! A total lack of respect for brand lovers. Let the developers figure out how to reverse this.
try CN Dev version, is latest and best,
forget xiaomi.eu rom lol, almost all they do you can do by yourself within minutes, uninstalling few chinese apps and get google works with googleinstaller_v3. and dev rom have root. just suggestion.
I tried the last cn-version, but the pc-suite dont verify this ROM and dont flash it.

Miflasher dont work, because the bootloader is locked.
To OP and the issue at hand, have you tried the fastboot image to install chinese stable or developer rom? That should flash and allow you to unlock bootloader again.
To the people whining about this policy of Xiaomi, you are buying a product for a different market. There is nothing wrong with their policy and you should wait for global version of the phone if you want global image with locked bootloader. It's a little like complaining that the chinese MMO you play over vpn doesn't have english menus. Well no, it's not for that market.

I tried only the chinese recovery rom for flashing with the pc-suite. The fastboot image, I can only flash with twrp or miflashtool, right? TWRP dont work, I cant boot in it. And miflashtool says, as I tried to flash the global rom, that it isnt allowed to erase a locked device.

Nah, the fastboot image flashes best in my experience if you unpack it, all the way. You will get some folders and .bat files. make sure you have fastboot in either PATH or same directory make sure fastboot detects the image and after that run the flash_all.bat and it should flash it.

That dont work, because the bootloader is locked. Fastboot says too, that it isnt allowed because the lock, same when I try to install twrp on the locked phone.

Please HELP! MY K20 IS STUCK ON FASTBOOT! NOTHING WORKS!

So here is what I did, I heard about the K20 Pro 81hz refresh rate Mod and the android 10, I couldn't find twrp for k20 so i decided to flash k20 pro's twrp (which probably was a big mistake!), I don't exactly remember what exact files i was flashing! I remember after flashing few files or just the twrp of k20 pro (i dont remember exactly) my phone was stuck in fastboot and is still now if i restart or go to recovery or anything it just leads me back to fastboot screen. I flashed android 10 recovery rom via fastboot, which i was not supposed to do, i didn't know the difference b/w the fastboot and recovery rom at that moment, but when i did i downloaded another rom but a stock rom for k20 fastboot variant I don't remember where I downloaded all the files but I downloaded the recovery rom from : https://www.xda-developers.com/download-miui-11-beta-now-for-13-xiaomi-devices-changelog/ and I downloaded the stock rom from : https://rootmygalaxy.net/redmi-k20-and-k20-pro-stock-firmware/ and I downloaded twrp recoveries from other sites, well I guess this is not important where i downloaded these. But after I try to flash the K20 Stock Rom by Mi Flash Tool (keep in mind i tried to flash the android 10 rom with mi flash tool also and that too by any all settings like clean all , keep data, clean all lock, i was just trying everything to get my phone to work! ) So then it gave me error of mismatching device so i searched on youtube to fix this error and tried it but still it wasn't flashing, then I thought maybe when I was trying to flash the android 10 rom many times I might have locked the boot loader, so i used the mi unlocker tool to see, i clicked on unlock it said it started the process, 3 step process of verifying device ,unlocking ,and done but it showed an error on the verifying device it said "can't get info, connect again ". This scares me have I locked the bootloader and now is there no way to unlock it or what??? I need your guys help please tell me what Rom I have to flash or what steps I have to take to get my phone working again! Please
I have a K20 Indian Variant, oh and yeah my bootloader was unlocked before I started to do all of this. I know what I have written might be confusing But PLEASE HELP ME!
Edit: and I also tried to flash the boot by getting boot image from android 10 rom, basically i just flashed randomly...
I also saw a few videos about the edl mode, i tried to get into edl mode and I got into edl mode so If there is a way to flash rom using edl mode do tell me
Edit: And I also think maybe the rom isn't flashing because I might have got the global rom or something can anyone send link to Indian K20 Stock Rom?

Next copy the flashtool folder to the desktop also

And save.
Then choose the folder and then flash and make sure u choose only (clean all) and not (clean all and lock) from below goodluck bro hope the picture will make you understand

Question Stuck and can't boot up the device

Well, I was on the weekly build of xiaomi.eu rom ( the device is the Chinese version) and I decided to flash the global ROM via mi flash tool. I chose the clear all and lock option to lock the bootloader. At first, after five minutes in the flashing process, it gave an error ( invalid write argument error or something like this). I tried to flash for the second time and it went fine and gave me a success in the flashing tool .
However, after the device has rebooted, it went straight to the stock recovery with an error saying can not install this software on this device ( however, I already installed this global ROM on the device with the exact same way). I tried to wipe data from the recovery and reboot but the same problem happened.
Now the problem is the bootloader is now locked. When I try to unlock it bootloader to try to flash the fastboot ROM again , it says I need to add a mi account to the device but I can not since I can not log to the device to add it.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using the fastboot commands but all failed.
Any advice what should be done to make it working again?
Thanks in advance for your help

You cannot block the bootloader with a global on Chinese version buddy. Also you should have fixed the checkpoint error before doing so to avoid this. Try to search on Google how to reunlock the bootloader from fastboot and no account bind, maybe you may find something. Try also to flash the chinese ROM, it may work, and fix the checkpoint error first

Well, It always state that my bootloader is locked when I try to flash any fastboot ROM with Mi flash or even try to unlock the bootloader
At this point you can only go into edl mode my friend. I do not understand how you even though of locking your bootloader on Global ROM having a China model. Unfortunately there seems not to be any way to unlock the bootloader without binding the account and to do that you need your phone to work

How to enter EDL mode? can I use it to flash any stock firmware? what kind of software needed ?
I'm not confident with the practice as I have never faced such situation. As far as I know you can't do it easily as you need engineering code to do so. There are people that can flash remotely your phone for you for money. But don't ask me who and how. Try to check Google first or YouTube and see if there is a way to do it yourself

I agree with xNAPx, however, if you can access fastboot (power button and volume down key), try using the MiUnlock tool again where you login with your Mi account. You might be able to unlock your account again as your device is aleady bound to your Mi account.

You might be able to unlock your account again as your device is aleady bound to your Mi account. Flashing in EDL will not work, it might with a China rom since this is a Chinese device, but don't count on it, as Xiaomi doesn't allow flashing in EDL mode or with a locked bootloader.
I don't think this is a chance as wiping data delete the Mi account binding (if you do so for example during the countdown for unlocking it reset the countdown). I don't think there is another option but EDL flash
EDL flash is the likely way forward at this stage. Search telegram or youtube for an authorized account. Should cost no more than $ 30-35.
I once was stuck in EDL mode (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-needed-i-think-i-bricked-my-phone.4301773/). This guy restored my phone for 35 USD.

You are not to relock the bootloader when flashing anything other than the original stock rom. Can you access fastboot?

My Mi 11 pro is ok, I think you should be asking lordvoldmort from the start of the thread.

Question I got stuck after download some Updates via OTA

Hi there
I am a newbie of Xiaomi Phone. I got a used Mi 11 Ultra phone from a reputable eBay User. My phone is currently installed with a stable version called MIUI 13/.0 (V13.0.12.0.SKACNXM STABLE). Since I am new to this phone, I click on system updates and managed to download a file called xiaomi.eu_Multi_M11Pro_M11Ultra_V13.0.13.0.SKACNXM_618A7FFAB_V13-12.ZIP Via OTA Updates.
After I click on the Updates Button, I got a screen with a green button : "Check MD5 & Install", after a while, I got a pop up screen says :Your device supports "Seamless System Updates",
I click on the OK button, also click on the OK button for the internal storage is encrypted.
Finally, to ask me whether I would like to continue to install the Updates, I choose YES and end up stuck at the Main Menu with 5 choices: Reboot, Wipe Data, Connect with MiAssistant, Safe Mode and Repair Mode. There are no choice for me to install the Updates.
Can someone give me a hand please ?
Many thanks in advance.

start with Repair Mode if it doesn't work Wipe Data(your data will be erased).
I tried both options but not working
Try installing TWRP recovery (permanent flash not just fastboot boot TWRP.img) and then retry the installation.

Is the bootloader unlocked?
Unlock Bootloader - Install Twrp - install the latest xiaomi.eu rom - you can root with magisk.zip if necessary

I don't have a Xiaomi account. The phone is working but cannot install updates properly because of the seamless updates.

Ok, what do you want to do, update it to Chinese version or flash another version?
Do you know the Xiaomi EU roms?
For me looks like ROM what you had before was FASTBOOT installed xiaomi.eu stable, and then they started rolling out TWRP updates, and because you didn't have TWRP its reboot in stock recovery ?...
Can you boot into TWRP from this link:https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...eamwin-recovery-project.4374111/post-87360425
Please use this fastboot command
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
, first TWRP boot will be in Chinese language, please change it to English, enter your unlock PIN, then find this update file downloaded by updater.
Let us know if that's help
I'm right, your current ROM is a FASTBOOT version (so without TWRP)
Checked on the download website
xiaomi.eu_multi_MI11Pro_MI11Ultra_V13.0.12.0.SKACNXM_v13-12-fastboot.zip

You didn't focus on details ,my friend
He has already installed xiaomi.eu custom ROM, if you closely check his pictures from his first post - Updater app downloaded new version of xiaomi.eu CUSTOM ROM, so yeah he has already unlocked bootloader, and installed FASTBOOT version of CUSTOM ROM, the version what Updater app downloaded was released to be installed with TWRP (he didn't have TWRP on his phone yet) - so he need boot into TWRP and install update manually.

because after flashing the ROM, it is asked to continue booting.
obviously if the phone is no longer linked this will not be a problem
Hi gomcse2002,
Has your problem been solved?
If so, how did you do it, if you don't mind me asking.
I've had the same exact concern on my Mi 11 Ultra, which sadly has NOT been resolved yet.
Thanks.
Which rom(full name)?
