Abnormal booting. - Samsung Galaxy M21 Questions & Answers

Whenever i reboot or turn my phone back on, The phone shows the splash screen, but after 3 seconds, goes black, like it's about to boot into twrp. When i press and hold power button for few seconds, then it directly starts with boot animation, the SAMSUNG only boot animation (idk if it's "animation", whatever) Then the device works fine.
It's happening after i flashed TWRP and boot logo patcher. I've restored to stock os through odin, and did everything again to reinstall twrp. The issue still persists.
This thing is extremely annoying, cuz sometimes, it doesn't boot at all, and i have to hold the power button again, it's my daily driver, so i kinda freak out if anything happened to it or not (even through i know it's gonna happen, still). Can anyone provide me some info why it's happening?

You are the only one who can do a system logcat and also copy the log in TWRP and show it on the forum. Remove sensitive data from them, such as MAC address and imei.

Did you wipe the internal memory and other partitions in TWRP before flashing the stock ROM?
Does the phone behave normally only after flashing the stock ROM (without TWRP)?
Does the problem occur after flashing only TWRP (without TWRP_Bootlogo_patcher)?

It worked fine like showing a brief warning and stuffs, and after confirming those, it boots fine. It started happening after i tried to install rom, but i failed in there. since i had no stock files available, i booted into a gsi, where i already had patched the bootlogo. So even then, it booted up perfectly fine. It's probably happening after moving back to stock. I don't reamember.

Before flashing the stock ROM, you should in TWRP wipe the internal storage and format data. Stock ROM = firmware from Samsung (and not GSI) must be installed via odin or heimdall.

i've flashed my stock rom with odin and moved away from gsi. I am not using any gsi. I'll reflash my stock rom again after formating and wiping like you said.

From recovery mode did you wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before you flashed the ROM? Also which recovery did you install after you S-OFF?
Did you see this note on the Original Post of the ROM:
Important Notes
If you are experiencing random freezes and/or reboots, this is likely due to your device being incapable of handling our overclocking defaults. Download and apply this flashable patch, which will reduce the maximum CPU frequency to 1Ghz and likely eliminate this issue.
You must complete a full wipe prior to installing this ROM the first time. We also recommend wiping between upgrades, but you are welcome to try upgrading without a wipe. However, no support will be provided if you file a bug without having wiped prior to submission.
Also, did you follow all of the steps that were listed in the second post?
thanks for the respons.
I used revolutinory.io to do everything.. i did wipe and all that, but still had the problem. i downloaded the patch in the topic, but how do i install it ? transfer it to my sd card and run it from the phone ? and then flash the rom?

A patch implies that you flash the ROM and then while still in recovery you flash the patch file and then reboot.

Some roms auto reboot after flashing.
Pull the battery, then turn phone on by holding power and volume down at same time. Choose bootloader then recovery.
Now you can flash the patch.

Please help! Galaxy S plus I9001 stuck booting into recovery *Fixed* :)

Hi folks,
I tried updating my S plus to ICS today by following the instructions listed here:
theandroidsoul.com/galaxy-s-plus-i9001-ice-cream-sandwich-update-install-cyanogenmod-9-cm9-pretty-good-and-working-rom
I read through the instructions and it looked pretty simple. I successfully installed Team Win recovery, performed a backup, wiped, and then installed the CM9 rom.
After the installation, the phone just boots back into Team Win recovery. I tried reverting to the backup, but it still just boots to recovery every time.
Now that I'm stuck in TeamWin recovery, I'm at a loss on what to try next .
Does anyone have any insight on how I can fix the problem?
Thanks,
Evan
Sometimes when you flash new Recovery (usually when replacing stock recovery with modified recovery for the first time) you get stuck at bootloop. It means /boot partition was damaged. After flashing TWRP did you restart your phone and it booted correctly, or did you install everything (TWRP, got backup, wipe and install new ROM) at once?

So is reflashing in Odin what you are suggesting? Sorry if I'm misunderstanding.
And yes, after I flashed TWRP it booted fine, the 2nd time I went into recovery, performed the backup, wiped, then flashed the rom. I've tried wiping both the cache's with no success. I've also tried reflashing the rom, wiping the cache's, restoring with the backup, wiping cache's again... nothing seems to be working
What would be different if I had installed everything (TWRP, backup, wipe, rom) at the same time?
*Edit* Reflashed through Odin and it worked great! Thanks for the help, I'm a little scared to start messing with the phone again, but ICS is tempting...
Got the rom working with a fresh backup after fixing the bootloop. Thanks again for the link divibyzero, the troubleshooting steps solved the problem, whatever it was, and now its running ICS
These Samsungs S+'s seem to be a little more finiky than my HTC.

You didn't specify, so I'll assume you have an i9001, if this is not the case, you probably shouldn't follow these instructions
Just reflash the bootloader as explained here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24831012&postcount=1330) and you'll be fine. I had the exact same problem when I had installed CWM on my own device. It's not with adb, but it's not like you have to do a lot of effort to get Odin or anything and it will fix your device.

You must properly install Samsung mobile drivers on your PC, kill Samsung Kies process (or even better: uninstall Kies) and enable USB debugging on your phone. Then it will work.

I recommend using 4EXT recovery. Also, try reinstalling the ROM.
But first, wipe everything (except SD card) and then install the ROM. Also, check the hboot.
Does it get stuck at the X logo? If yes, then boot to recovery and format boot + system, several times. This may be due to a corrupt boot + system file system. Then install the ROM.

Boot loop after flashing rom

So I've been attempting to install a rom, ANY rom on my phone and the results always seem to be the same. I boot into TWRP, wipe then install the rom. On reboot, the phone loads up the initial (black) samsung screen. Then buzzes twice and reboots. It will do this infinitely. It happens with any rom I've tried flashing. It has to be something I am missing or doing wrong. Does anyone have an idea what it is? I've even gone as far as completely wiping, odin in a stock image and then adding TWRP again. I just can't seem to figure it out.

You need to ODIN flash the stock original official COG2
firmware & odin flash cf-autoroot and the twrp recovery
before flashing the zip file rom.
Once that's done you can flash any N910T zip file rom in
twrp recovery without any issues.
Make sure to do a full wipe in twrp before you flash any
zip file rom to avoid bootloops and or getting stuck on
the samsung boot logo screen and be sure to do a full
and complete wipe which includes:
"System, Data, Cache, Dalvik Cache and last but not
least do a factory reset.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

Le 2 continuous boot loop (Unable to flash any ROM in TWRP)

Hi,
- Le 2 X526
- Phone is rooted
I am unable to flash any ROM via TWRP. I've tried multiple ROMs and the phone gets stuck and just restarts midway during flashing (happens during /system extraction).
The issue was happening even with stock ROM which is why I did a factory reset assuming things will be fine. Currently, I have wiped everything via TWRP and the system is empty.
Note: I get a bluescreen for a split second after which the phone restarts.
Please help.
first tell these thing..
which eui version u were using..??
which twrp version you are using
which rom u tried first...?
and was it running or it was also giving bootloop???
Hi,
I was using 5.8.019S (Rooted)
TWRP 3.1.0
The phone was randomly rebooting since 2 days with increasing frequency, which is why I decided to do a factory reset.
But after factory reset the phone was only in bootloop. After this I wiped all partitions and tried to install a ROM.
I've tried AOSP, Lineage, Small EUI and Validus - Same problem in all (TWRP gets stuck halfway during installation and reboots)
Note: I am wiping all partitions before installation.
