A8+ could not do normal boot, invalid kernel length. Won't even get into recovery mode. - Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) Questions & Answers

Hello all.
A few days ago i tried to restart my Samsung Galaxy A8+ but after turning off, it did not turn back on.
Got the message 'could not do normal boot, invalid kernel length' and phone died off.
I tried pressing vol+/vol- and power buttons to try and get into recovery or download mode, but wasn't able to.
Tried to connect to pc but my pc keeps alternating between the connected then disconnected sound. Odin won't recognize the device at all.
The data in it is really important to me and i need to recover it anyhow.
If there is any way i can retrieve the data even directly from the motherboard, I'd do it.
PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!

It means the update failed. Can the phone boots into download mode? You have to flash a stock rom via Odin.
Hello mate.
In order to fix you're phone do the following
1) Put you're phone to charge for a couple of hours just to make sure you have enough battery for the installation process.
2) Plug it into you're computer and when it get to the point where it prompts you to connect to pc, press and hold "Volume Down & Power Button" until you get to Download mode. Then open up kies and you should be able to continue installation of the update.
I hope everything goes well for you!
ty guys, it worked

[Q] Galaxy Tab GT 1000N won't start

Day 1
Hard reset my device. After rebooting, my tab stuck at Samsung logo and vibrating. But still can enter download mode
Day 2
The device still stuck at Samsung logo and can enter download mode. Then i tried flashing with dbdata.rfs PDA via Odin to try my luck. After reboot , the same things goes up,stuck at Samsung logo. After few minute , i tried flashing the GT-P1000_PRT_P1000XWJQ9_P1000PRTKL1_P1000XXJPZ ROM.During flashing(i don't know either it's finish already or not or either battery problem. Before flash i noticed the battery has low power about less than 10%) ,the device suddenly shutdown by it self. After the shutdown, the device goes black and try to reboot again, nothing comes up.Then i thought the battery was fully drained out, then i decide to charge up till morning.
Day 3
Trying to power up the device but nothing happen.Holding the power button about 20 sec and nothing happen but the device feel a little bit hot at the back. But when i plugged in to USB, it can detect the device and show the MTP Installation has failed. But at My computer shows 2 removable disk which comes from the device it self. After i pressed it,it say Please insert a disk to removable disk.
Can anyone please help me?Help my Old Tab.
Sounds like you have bricked your device. And I mean a real brick, not a "soft brick" as some people like to call it.
You should never try and flash your device if you have low battery as power could fail and corrupt your bootloader.
If you cant get into recovery or download mode your screwed and need to send it away for JTAG fix or board replacement.

Try this:
start odin, and press power + volume down for at least 5 seconds, plug to your computer
Odin should recognize your tab. Flash again. Btw jq8, sithout the correct kernel is not for p1000n/m/l.
What u did on day 3 was ALMOST right. But you didn't press the volume down. Hence you didn't go to download mode.
P.s. if you post this in the Q&Asection, we could hv helped you earlier.

Help brick bootloop (flashmode only 20''??)

Hello, yesterday I tried to flash this ROM: C6603_10.7.A.0.222_Customized MEA.ftt. I succeeded, although I relized I didn't wipe...so I (fool of me) flashed again, and here is when the trouble came.
Flash failed and since then I got the SONY screen and then a message saying: "the software update failed. make sure your phone is connected to the computer and try again" and then shut off itself. If I try to charge to the electricity socket it is when the loop comes in...this time no error screen, just sony and turns off and on sony screen offs, etc...
I thought of flashing again, but the problem here is when the device won't stand in flashmode more than 15-20 seconds and then the red light led turns off (as if the device had been disconnected) and therefore flashing is impossible (it starts correctly but when the red light turns off a error message "31 : A device attached to the system is not functioning" appears, as if I unplugged the phone...)
I also tried to restore with pc companion but the problem of the short flashmode still goes on. What can I do????why the device turns off (or it seems that) after connecting to the pc??
Curiously, I can get to fastboot mode (when connected to the pc, if I push UP button led light turn blue and keep it until I unplug, contrarily to what happens with the flahsmode)
The model is unlocked bootloader, but it is not rooted and I could not install recovery, so wiping through it is dismissed...
Is it possible to flash from fastboot (since in flashmode is impossible?)
I also tried a hard reset by pushing + and - buttons while starting, and 3 vibres happen and it tuns off but the problem still continue...
PLEASE HELPPPPPP
