Any way to enable/disable Gps/data without root in one tap ? - Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact Questions & Answers

Hello, i had temp root from j4nn for being able to enable and disable Gps and data in one tap from the lock screen and when the phone is unlocked but I needed to remove the temp root..
Now when I tap on it from lockscreen with power toggles, I need to unlock device and it goes in the GPS /data menu, same thing when the device is unlocked..
Is there a way to directly have data and gps disabled when I click on it from power toggles except tapping on them from the top menu please?

[Q] Lots of Questions about everything !

Hello I have lots of questions
1) is there a way to make active display or tap to wake up phone?
2) on my previous phone if I clicked on the volume key button the phone would turn on?- can I do it on here?
3) there are many more apps like contextual services and lots of other Motorola apps. Which are safe to disable?
4) is there a way to block OTA updates?
5) when you swipe down using two fingers you get the notification pull menus. But when I click the wifi button it opens the settings app and goes to wifi. Can't I edit it so it goes DIRECTLYY to. Toggle wifi?
6) pin on lock screen - on my old phones when I input my pin it unlockes. This is so stupid and takes more longer after inputtingmy pin. I then have to click enter? How do I automate that
1) You can use AcDisplay. You can't tap to wake the phone, a custom kernel would be required for that.
2) Not by default.
3) I leave Assist, Alert, Audio effects, Help and Migrate disabled. I don't know about the rest, but those are safe.
4) Just don't install them. I don't know if you can disable the alerts though.
5) Hold the wifi button . Works with other settings as well, try it out.
6) Well, you could try using an app that replaces your lockscreen which has this feature, such as the Home Screen Lock of Smart App Lock. By default you can't though.
Hope I helped.

I assume you are using Lollipop. The wifi-icon and the SSID are two seperate buttons. Tapping the icon switches wifi on/off. Tap on the SSID and it will take you to settings
I've found that long-pressing the wifi button will toggle it on and off.

[Q] Fingerprint Unlock Issues

Hey all,
I may be completely missing something but I can't seem to get the fingerprint unlock on my AT&T S6 to work consistently. I've gone through the process and set up my fingerprint, but when i click the power button and back on, it asks me to swipe rather than use the fingerprint. At the bottom on the lockscreen I get a "swipe to unlock" message and when i touch/swipe the little water globule appears. I have to swipe to the right to unlock. What's extra interesting is when I reboot my phone, for first unlock (and only first) it asks for fingerprint unlock and unlocks appropriately by me placing my thumb on the sensor. Here's some additional information that may help:
1. Under lock screen and security settings, "Screen lock type" is set to "Fingerprints"
2. Under "Fingerprints" i have Fingerprint 1 which is my thumb
3. Web sign-in and Verify Samsung are currently Off
4. The problem is the same whether i use the power button on the right side of the phone, or press and hold home button, or single press home button then try to use thumbprint
Am i completely stupid and missing something? Seems totally weird to me that on first reboot and first unlock attempt it requires fingerprint, but any subsequent unlock is swipe only?
Thanks in advance for the help!

It hasn't completely locked. There is a option for it in security and go to secure lock settings and then secured lock time
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using XDA Free mobile app

Removing top taskbar access from lockscreen

Hello, I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to remove the top taskbar (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc) while the screen is locked? I wouldn't want anyone who can't unlock my screen to be able to disable my WiFi or Bluetooth etc.
Any insight is helpful.
Thanks!

Cerberus has this function built in. Can also block power menu
Isn't it possible to block in settings?
Quick menu has serious bug:
Lock screen - quick settings - SETTINGS and phone is unlocked. No PIN requested, no fingerprint needed.
This is really anoying to have such security bug.
Oxygen 3.5.4, rooted
That's not the case on 4.0.1.
Also, for the time being I got what I wanted by removing the data option from the quick settings.. So if someone does get hold of the mobile, they still can't disable the data. Ofcourse they can shut it off and eventually wipe it off. Good enough for now I guess.

Any solution to disable system bar?

Hey,
We need a solution to disable or hide a system bar on a rooted Android device (rooted with Magisk). Example device is fiio m11, android 7.0.
The end result requires that user would be completely unable to access the notifications/preferences buttons that are visible when you swipe down the system bar.
Also a basic on/off mechanism controllable on android app (basic checkbox on/off).
Any solution is ok:
completely hide system bar
draw something on top of system bar in order to disable swipe down
leave system bar visible but disable touch (disable swipe down to open notifications list)
Do you have any suggestions?
Cheers!
Hi,gintrux. How did you root your device . As far as I know, when I get into the fastboot my ADB cant find any fastboot devices,
Where did you find the fastboot device of FIIO M11. And we didnt have any rec like TWRP for FIIO M11 how did you install the
magisk?
I also faced your problem ,root is just the frist step. I will search it in XDA and others web. If I find anything ,I will share with you.
