Question Name and email address on lock screen - Vivo X90 Pro Plus

Having lost phones before and had them returned because I'd added my name and email to the lock screen I figured I would add these on the x90 pro plus, but there appears to be no way of doing it. Cannot even get emergency contacts to work from the lock screen which seems a little unsafe. Anyone has any luck with with either of these features?

This should really be standard functionality, but I found I can get tasker to display this as a scene on the lock screen with a blocking overlay. It only works once you set lock screen wallpaper manually to a local image.

[Q] ICS lock screen always appears when opening apps

Hello everyone, my lock screen always appears whenever I open an app. Not all apps, but the google play store or SMS or something like that.
The steps I've done:
I've disabled the lock screen completely and removed all codes, and then added them again.
I use an application called No Lock which either enables or disables the lock screen. When I'm home, On GB at least, I use it to not lock the home screen because I don't need security at home. I click the widget to lock the screen when I leave the house to enable it. I've cycled through the on off for this application and still the same results.
Any ideas?

[Q] S4 Active Missing Lock Screen Widget Features

The Lock screen widgets are missing many features comparing to S4. Anyone complaining or is it just me? My "Favorite apps or Camera" is grey out.
This is all I got in the setting. Everything else is missing.

You need to disable the security to use those functions - turn off pattern, pin, password, whatever, and set it to "Swipe". Then you can use lock screen widgets.
Got my own answer
This feature is disabled if I use the pattern lock. Sucks.

After activating the lock screen widgets you can then reactivate security code or pattern. To use them you have to wake the screen *Before* it auto-locks. Once it locks itself, you have to unlock it per usual. So you get your choice between security and convenience.

Or you can use a third party lockscreen like I do - Widget Locker gives you both security AND convenience, by layering on top of the secure lockscreen. If I click on of the widgets, I'm brought to the lockscreen to unlock to use it - except for the camera which is usable without unlocking.
When I updated my s4 active to 4.4 I no longer see the Samsung music widget on the list of lock screen widgets, just watch on, calendar, s health and a few other apps but not the music widget. Anybody having this problem or know of a fix

Verizon Moto X Lock Screen Widgets

I couldn't seem to get to where I can add any lockscreen widgets on my Verizon Moto X. The Googlez showed a link on the Sprint Moto X FAQ on how to access the standard Jelly Bean lockscreen customization, but it insists that the Jelly Bean standard "swipe lockscreen from left edge towards right" will show the "+" icon for adding widgets, and no matter what I do on my Verizon X lock screen, all I can do is drag the lock icon down to unlock (or up if an active notification appears.)
Finally figured out how to get them to appear:
Enable a Screen Unlock option (None won't work, duh, there's no lock screen if you don't lock the screen!)
Tap power button to turn display off, then again to turn on
Swipe from left edge works now.
Move new widget to main lockscreen.
Profit :victory:
Things I stupidly overlooked during this period of time:
I had been trying with Lock Screen set to none. (See above, can't believe it took me 3 changes to realize this)
I neglected to try hitting the power screen to go to the main lock screen from the Active Display screen :silly:
Like an idiot, I thought a lock screen widget would propogate to the Active Display screen. This could defeat the entire 'battery saving' function, especially with some multi-color widgets
Biggest Dummy Award of the process: I was trying to add a widget to the Active Display screen, NOT the main lock screen. Once I got into the actual lock screen it was simple.
Sweet!
I didn't know I was able to DO that!

So how/where do you turn THIS on?? Sounds great, but I have never seen this switch..
Deleted, got the point, pin unlock (company administration policy) .. Sadly, company policy does not allow me to swipe lockscreen..

Try going to device administrators and removing the Exchange admin rights to your device...I did and was able to continue syncing to exchange and enable lockscreen widgets.
Please only try this if you have control of your device and are able to add the account back if this de-authorizes you. It really depends on how the Exchange server is setup, ours isn't too rigorous with checking it still has the admin rights on my device after the initial setup.

Already Exist? Gear out of range, require pw to unlock phone

I can't remember if I've seen this as possible; seen this as a want; or it already exists.
I don't use a lock screen on my phone at all. Sometimes I worry about security, but not enough to deal with a lock screen all the time.
Solution would be that if your phone is out of Bluetooth range of your watch, then you hit a lock screen (with password). If you leave your watch at home or something, then you get to enter your password when you turn on your phone. When you have your watch on, no lock-screen.
This already out there somewhere? Wonder if Tasker could do something like this.
Looking at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955092 with Bluetooth plugin, but is there something like this in the Gear store somewhere?
This feature is included in Gear Manager. I use it and it works great.

I just saw the option, but 1 problem - it seems to force you to use a slide unlock when the gear is in range, and pattern unlock when it is not.
Any way to use *no* lock screen when gear in range?
Not that I know of.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm - additional security vs pain of lock screen.
Question I'll have to go look up - I haven't used a lock screen since I was going crazy in my Widget Locker days. I remember reading a lot about being able to customize the screen a bit and/or add some more basic info - how customizable is tge default lock screen nowadays?
Edit: Nevermind, I just went to lockscreen to turn on 'swipe' and got a page full of stuff that disappears when you select 'none' (which is where I was a minute ago...)

Did anyone find a way yet to use a pin rather then pattern lock to use with autounlock? anytime I activate autounlock it prompts for a pattern which is not what I like. I want to use a pin if possible...
Maybe try this app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en
I'm not sure if it only disables the lockscreen when you don't have password on, hopefully there's some settings you can mess around with.

Questions on Lock Screen

I had a P20 pro and got rid of it for one reason or another but waiting on my new one being delivered. I have 2 questions, is there any way to change the default lockscreen - everytime I set a static photo it used to revert back to magazine slideshow.
Second, can you expand the notifications now on the lockscreen like they now allow on the Honor 9?
When you set the wall paper; specify that it's for the lock screen as well and make sure the Gallery tick box is unchecked so it won't scroll through your pics.
