Boot into TWRP EVA-AL00 - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

Hi,
I cannot boot into TWRP on my EVA-AL00, currently on Android 7. Bootloader is unlocked, ADB and drivers are installed, flashing now seems to go OK, but when it reboots, it goes into eRecovery or just doesn't boot at all.
I have installed the TWRP app via apk and I am using the latest EVA file from the TWRP website, 3.1.1.0. I've tried to access TWRP via adb reboot recovery or via the Volume up+power button, but both don't boot into TWRP.
I've tried to relock and unlock the bootloader, I installed Android 7 via HiSuite (I started out on Android 8, where the flashing only resulted in a broken recovery with Error 11 and 2), I've used various variants of installing TWRP via SRKTool and others, no success.
Endgoal is to flash a Android 9 or 10 ROM on this phone, for which the best method is via TWRP. If there is another way to install that ROM, I would also be happy.
Any suggestions are welcome!

I tried 3.1.1.0 from TWRP website too,
can not reboot into recovery,
if you are in andriod 8.0 now,
have try of twrp 3.2.1-0.
and andriod 8.0 support Project Treble,
you will find Lineage 16.0 (9.0) rom in XDA,
then flash it in fastboot mode.

Downgrade from LOS15 (Android 8.x) to 7.x?

Hi.
I want to downgrade my Mi5 from current Android 8.1.0 (LineageOS 15.1.-xxxxxx) to final stable 7.x.
Is it safe to just do a clean flash via FlashBoot with some MIUI stock ROM on 7.x and then TWRP to LOS 14?
Or would I experience some massive foooooook with partitions or sth?

If you want to go to Android 7.x rom from 8.x.x you may need to Format Internal Storage **if your phone was encrypted**.
You can also just flash lineageOS 14.1 because if you use LOS 15.1 you must use Facebook 8.5.x.x and above . That's enough for all of Android 7.x ROMs
Formatting is not a problem. Thank you.
I think you can flash this rom

Yes. Wip all options. I did it and back to 20180220 version, using now.
After full wipe, use ADB to pull the .zip (rom and gapps) to the phone (I thought that is the best way) then flash this by TWRP.
Looks much better at all. Here could be, i need to fix somethings:

That's because newer versions of EMUI prevent you from booting custom ROMs
I had the same issue
The way i fixed it was i flashed an older EMUI through Dload
Downgrading EMUI
Download this : https://androidhost.ru/1JVE
Extract it and put the dload folder into the root of ur sdcard
Turn off the phone
Press power and vol + & - buttons
Once u see huawei logo stop pressing power but keep doing on volume buttons
It will install
Now that you have downgraded your EMUI , you can unlock your bootloader again , flash TWRP, and flash your favourite ROM!
I hope i helped you ))

Help. My device is bootlooping, fastboot mode is working but cannot flash anything

Hello. I have motorola x4 Indian variant (xt1900-2). I have bootloader unlocked on my device. Few days ago I had Pixel Experience 12 running on my phone, and I tried to update it to Pixel Experience 13 using PixelExperience's own recovery through ADB Sideload. It worked but after that I tried to flash gapps using same way but it was not working. I thought TWRP recovery can install it So I flashed TWRP zip using same method in recovery's update using ADB Sideload option. Recovery got flashed.
Now, my phone is bootlooping since then after it rebooted to system after flashing twrp zip. I can access fastboot on my phone, but any command I enter in fast such as 'fastboot boot recovery.img' gets stuck forever.
Also, sometimes commands dont even work. Fastboot says unknown command. I tried using different cables on diffrent ports including 2.0, 3.0 ports, and also using c-to-c type cable but still no luck. I even tried to downgrade to Windows 10 from 11. Still same issue. I Can't boot to recovery, cant flash recovery, cant boot into OS, just fastboot is working.

Please help me in this case. I have original firmware available for my device. I tried flashing it but gives same error command not found or gets stuck forever.
