Question S23 is dual band GPS supported? - Samsung Galaxy S23

Hello!
Does anyone know if it is dual Gps compatible? Does the GPSTest App show L5 or E5 satellites?
Thank you very much!

According to this source (pcmag), "s23 ultra" doesn't support dual-band GPS. Make conclusions yourself.

But using the app "GPS Test" shows the reception of L5-signals. Does this mean they are being used?

Yes, the S23 has dual band support and uses the signals of those satelites.
On the other hand it does not use "carrier phase". My impression is, its location data therefore is a bit less accurate compared to devices that use carrier phase.

[Q] gyroscope 6 axis accelerometer applications

Hi! I'd like to know which applications can exploit the galaxy s gyroscope (or better 6 axis accelerometer). Not the applications that requires normal (3 axis) accelerometer, but only the gyroscope. Are there any games/applications that really use this new technology or at present gyroscope is nothing more than a normal accelerometer? Thank you very much!
Bump. Does the galaxy s even have a gyroscope?

GPS performance

How is GPS performance for daily usage? Some people mentioned poor GPS quality for mi a1. Does mi a2 perform better?
Sent from my Huawei Mate S using Tapatalk
It's all good.
Gps quality is indeed garbage. Mine won't work despite I tried literally every possible solution.
No problems with GPS for me

If you are on Pie, go to security&location, location, google location accuracy and turn off Improve locatuon accuracy.
When I turned it off gps work really nice.
For me its very good, its even using galileo so fast and precise.

What do you mean by dual GPS?
All GPS uses multiple satelites already to get your position, and Android further gets a more localized position by then pinging you off wifi networks as you pass them. The unclassified GPS bands we are allowed to use are accurate to around a dozen feet, technically we can be no more accurate that this. But with tricks like wifi scanning the phones do get around 4-6ft accuracy.

, I didnt get the joke earlier
also, I have the location settings to 'device only', but unfortunately, the gps is not locking. no fix. I am using 'gps status' app to view the status
Can get down to an accuracy of 3m on device only mode when I'm lucky, and 5 meters on average

30cm accuracy might be in laboratory kind of conditions... 3m is defnitely still far enough for real life usage though
EDIT: Also read that the chip can be used not only in smartphones... Phones have small antennas, 30cm might be for car GPS and such who have far bigger antennas and space considering its their only utility

Pixel Gcam?

Is this not working on the 5G?
Works great on S10E and S10+
Miss the night mode!
Working fine on mine. Using the latest on the list - Gcam_6.2.024_Advanced_V2.0.190420.0415 from here:

Using the same version on 5G as well but have issues. Open GCam and viewfinder would freeze for 5 seconds before unfreeze and Night Sight just give me a black viewfinder. Did you change any settings in the setting?

Just use the GCam version for S10e, S10, and S10+. I’ve even used GCam for Note 9 on my Snapdragon 5G on trip to Japan.
I don't have the phone yet and that's why I'm asking in advance. I am not too much a fan of Samsung's heavy handed noise reduction at all ISO levels, so that's why I'm looking for an alternative
Also the answer doesn't addrsss my question regarding if GCAM uses all cameras or if it crops from the normal to make a telephoto view, for instance.

Ahh, I already forgot how it was on my 5G because I returned that to Samsung. I remember later GCam releases say they get the telephoto lens working. The Note 9 version on 5G don’t have that capability I think.
Hi , is there a fully working one for the s10 5g as the ones i have tried all seem to have issues or is it because i have not done some changes ? if anyone could link me to a fully working one that would be great

Question GPS GNSS E5/L5 Support

Hi, the specs only show gnss l1/e1 support but according to Mediatek the dimensity 700 processor should support l5/e5. Could someone please run the gpstest app from the play store to confirm?
Thanks
