I bought a Chinese rom moto edge 30 ultra form ali xpress, and it came sealed, when setting it up and choosing the language, it says "Activation failed make sure network is connected" and I can't skip the setup wizard

I'm in Saudi Arabia which is in Asia , I tried to activate it many through sim , but it didn't work , is there any another method to bypass it , even through pc or adb ?
Connect via wifi to another phone on which you set up a Chinese vpn.

Thanks for the support , as I know I have to have a rooted device to be able share vpn hotspot which I don't have , kindly is there another method

1. Turn off the phone
2. Insert your sim card
3. Turn on wifi
4. Connect to your wifi
I also have X30 Pro (China version), NOT rooted and able to activate the phone.
From what I remembered if your wifi is not working, try a different wifi (maybe go to your friend's house or something).
Do NOT worry, your phone can be activated.
Do NOT think of rooting your phone as you will experience more and more problems than what you have now.

I saw this phone on a website
it is a bricked phone but with a reasonable price
the seller said that he flashed a wrong recovery and then when booting the device ,it stuck at this page
and i have few questions
1. is it real ?
2. it is possible to fix it?
3. i am living in HK , can i use it normally or i need to do something like sim unlock?
Since i use samsung devices these years and i am using galaxy nexus now, so i don't have any experience of htc's

i think it is fixble
you just need to
flash the correct recovery
as for sim free
if the person who give it to you , dident did it , so yes you need to do sim free for it
just google ,you have all the information out there,it is real and it is fixble.

The solution of the problem which is seek is that after updating my perfect note 5 to latest firmware AOJ5 , i cannot save the selection of mobile data to SIM 2 , instead of SIM 1 (under sim card manager)whenever i restart my phone. Because of this stupid Bug, i dont know whether to reinstall firmware or not. So any solution to this?
Plus, the USB driver on smart switch is acting crazy as it is hanging my windows 10 pro. So i am unable to reinstall my firmare as well

weird one. Try using app called dual SIM control.
I am an idiot, I flashed a T-Mobile image to my XT1710-03 [Sprint] variant and it soft bricked it. With the Modem settings lost and the OEM Unlocking switch reset to disabled. I had no way of getting the device internet to let it free up the OEM unlock function. What I tried:
Blank-flash - Nope
Stock flashing - NOPE
USB OTG Single port Network adapter - YEP!
The device saw the adapter, loaded it as a network device (nothing apparent but I could surf the web) and BAM! OEM unlocking was free to enable.
Now I am not smart I mean I bricked the Z2 in the first place but if you were like me and had a phone without a modem and just needed a little bit of internet to get the job done this post is for you.

I came back to stock ROM. the problem is that it gets stuck in the initial configurations of the android trying to find a wifi network, to continue the configuration, without success, because I see in fastboot that the baseband is unknown, and I also can not install any rom, or recovery image because I have the following message in fastboot: FLASHING_LOCKED. and since I can not get past the initial android settings, I also can not unlock the developer options to enable OEM unlocking. now I'm standing in a rom that does not leave the initial configuration, it does not connect to any network and a fastboot that does not let me install anything. and I also tried the recovery mode and even tried to install an update via sideload, without success.
will it be that if I try this I can go ahead with the initial settings? because the phone is searching for network and can not connect, with the adapter will the device recognize the connection?

Hello from Greece My phone is huawei mate 20 lite and the fingerprint stopped working I had entered a code when I turned on in first time my phone before 1.5 year ago I have never used (only use the fingerprint) and I forgot it. I have entered various codes that I use but they are not correct and my phone still locked. I can not even find the phone box that says imei to buy a frp code from huawei my wife probably threw it by mistake because the box was empty . hi, you have 2 option:
1. buy frp code via imei, and reset phone with fastboot command
2. read firmware vendor version with fastboot command: "fastboot oem get-build-number" , download same, higher firmware and flash via sd-card or service box.
The first option i can't use it because i don't have the box and imei numper i want to use the second solution i have read the firmaware vendore version with fastboot command and i have downloaded the firmware but i can' t flash via sd card or usb stick whith typeC antaptor please help me how to flash firmaware via sd card or servise box i need the steps to open my phone PLEASE HELP ME!!

I just got a new Chromecast Ultra wand wanted know whether there is anything I need to take care off before I connect it to the Internet and le tit update itself to the latest firmware.
Are there any root or jailbreak methods for the Ultra that require an older firmware or is it safe to let the chromecast update itself to the latest firmware?

Hey, i also got my bundle, sadly i couldnt find anything about it only some open source stuff.
One thing that i've noticed though is, when you hold press on the button on the side for 10 seconds or so, it will show up on Windows as an device for 2 or 3 seconds. Here is a screenshot from it:

Maybe someone can figure out how to access the device with this, maybe there is somewhere a driver to access it via something.
PS: Do not update it, maybe they fixed something in the later versions.

Probably flash or access stuff if it isn't locked. Don't have something right now that is setuped to try it with linux.
