Question alarm setting - Motorola Edge 20

Hi everyone. I have a Moto Edge 20 for a few days, I can't snooze an alarm except by touching the screen and pressing match, with other brands (like Huawei) it was enough to press any key or volume or power and it was snoozed .. here with Moto as it can be done? Thank you

In the settings (three dots in top right corner) of the Clock app you can choose what action the volume buttons perform.

You're supposed to wake up, not snooze.

How do I bring up the System Volume screen without tapping the side button?

Hello guys, I'm experiencing a minor issue with my ROM. Sometimes when I reboot, if i tap the volume key on the side after rebooting, the keypad lights will turn on indicating i did tap it, however, the system volume and Ring volume display would not appear on the screen. And after that the phone goes super slow. I tried to hard-reset it once but it's occurring again.
I do know there is a way to adjust Ring volume without that screen, but was wondering is there another way to adjust the System volume without tapping the side buttons?
Thanks
Sounds strange. Which ROM are you using?
You can adjust the volume by tapping on the volume icon in the taskbar.
using dutty V3.6
thanks let me try that now..
thanks i got it.. seems like tapping that works for now, if i got further problem i'll post again
thanks again the_scotsman

Alarm muted when using 'side keys behaviour' - can somebody test (quick test!)

Hi I was wondering if I was alone on this but ever since the new update, my alarm would not sound (but screen turns on) if the alarm is using either the Snooze or Dismiss 'Side keys behaviour'. The alarm does sound when the side keys behaviour is set to none though! I've tried both using mp3 files and the default ringtones.
Extra details:
I found that using default ringtones will make the alarm sound BUT for only half a second and never again.
Phone is not on silent mode and alarm volume is up.
Phone is up to date, tried restarting but no differences.
edit: I found that the alarm will not sound as long as the global volume slider for alarms is less than or equal to that of the volume slider on the individual set alarm! this is a weird occurrence
edit: scratch that
Thanks for reading!.
Hello there,
having same issues with alarm since 5.1.1 update. Last 4 days alarm worked fine for 2 days, did not work for other 2 days. Screen is lit up, but there is no sound.
Did not really check what causes it, but I have side keys behaviour on dismiss for sure.
Guess I'll try to increase the global volume slider and see what's up.
Thanks for the post!

I've had this problem since day 1 of upgrading to 5.1.1 from 4.4.4.
If I set the side keys action to "none" then everything works just fine, but as you mentioned, if set to dismiss or snooze, then the phone seems to automatically perform the action without me touching it. That's why we only hear the alarm for a split second. I was late to work two days in a row before I figured this out.
Though, what exactly do you mean by the global volume dictates whether or not the alarm will sound? I'm not sure I understood. I may need to try this.

You know when you press the side volume button that dropdown pops up at the top of the screen? If you click the button on the right of that dropdown, you get options to change the volume of Ringtone, Media, and Alarm volume; I called this the global volume. Then in our alarm edit there is a "Alarm volume" slider for each alarm. So I think I found that as long as the individual alarm volume is greater than that global alarm volume setting, the alarm will sound.
Could test this with a quick alarm one minute from now
I caught my bus late twice because of this I thought I was just getting used to my loud neighbour's 5 am parties.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I posted about it nearly 2 weeks ago and got no response. I did a full wipe before upgrading, then re-wiped again, then flashed the US firmware from two different members. Nothing solved the problem. Now I have to use the screen to snooze or cancel the alarm, which is harder to do when you're half-asleep.
The global volume slider thingie works... kind of...
if the global volume slider for alarms is higher than volume slider for specific alarm, it will sound even with side keys behaviour set to dismiss.
However, once the alarm sounds, it sets the global slider to the same level as is the alarm slider that just triggered. This means on the next day alarm won't sound, bcs global and specific alarm sliders are even (and even is not good enough, global just has to be higher).
Cheers

Geeze - that sucks. I can't believe only a hand-full of us have this problem. What's the deal and how can we fix it?

Jammed volume button

Today I found out that the lower half of my volume button was jammed into the phone itself, the top half still sort of works.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how fix this or any replacements to use instead, at the moment I'm thinking of assigning the lock button to turn volume down and use a dt2w kernel instead.

Nice phone but please help!? Driving me mad!

Got my Oppo find X5 Pro few days ago. I was using a OnePlus 8 before this and prior was a Google Pixel user.
Can someone help me with these 2 things...
1. Is there anyway to use the power button as the power off button or just I also press volume up?
2. I loved the alert slider on the OnePlus handsets and I only ever use silent or vibrate modes. Never use ring tones. However I can't see a vibrate only mode on this handset.
I have around 10 days to return this handset. Whilst the power off is not a deal breaker the second thing might be.
Thanks guys!
Any takers?

Vibrate only can be achieved by using the little bell in the notification quick actions... long press configures it ... in there there's a slider to activate vibe on silent ... the bell then acts as a silent toggle but will vibrate
And no - the vol + power is only want, at present, to get to the shutdown menu
Lovely thanks
