This happens when you keep vivo.pem. after I have uninstalled it everything worked fine.

People who have removed it have had more problems than they expected. Everything from no notifications at all, to massive battery drain (like up to 50% whilst you're sleeping) plus all sorts of force closing apps. The problem is, once it's gone, if it breaks something and you need to put it back, that's extremely difficult.
There's a reason why it is so difficult to remove. He thinks that because previously on much older Vivo phones, some people decided to remove it, and had only very minor anecdotal evidence. That it should be done on the X90 also.
You won't like to hear it, but the best thing you can do is decrease your reliance on cancerous garbage like Google and Facebook. My Youtube notifications work fine btw, and I don't have com.vivo.pem deleted. It's working for plenty of the rest of us. Just disable battery optimizations for those apps.

Sry mate i have missed your reply somehow. Check the old debloat script which has the code to remove vivo.pem.

You can chose not to debloat vivo.pem, but only if you lock google play services in the recent apps drawer by calling it before via service code (need to do that on each reboot). It will work for all apps receiving push notices via google.
Clutch is needed because you cannot Autostart it as a service nor assign it high power use. Easier to just remove vivo.pem.

It doesn't work. Maybe it did with much older versions but it hasn't worked with any of the newer ones and for good reason.

If you have a specific problem with an app's notifications. Disable battery optimizations for that. Don't go and run a now completely broken debloat script. There's your free warning from the guy who is maintaining the current working script.

Hidden Programming Menu

I just got off the phone with support attempting to get my SMS working correctly and they had me go into a menu I had not seen anyone mention in here yet. This is a programming menu that you find on other android devices although I hadn't seen anyone find it for the droid X yet. Here is how to enter it-
##7764726
SPC password 000000
It was getting into a menu very similar to this on the Droid Incredible that enabled us to get Wifi Hotspot working without subscription.
Tinker away.
Anyone know what data call setting does?

No wonder there is zero development inspiration for this phone. The emo teenieboppers will just be unappreciative and immature and ruin the community anyhow, so why bother?

It's only an option to enable/disable cmas which has something to do with with emergency alerts.
There is also another menu to access which the number is listed below, which I found in another thread here in the DX forums, but it seems to have been abandoned(the thread I mean).
*#*#4636#*#*
It's mainly the phone info and usage statistics, I see nothing for DUN settings in here either.

My implication was the inability to use search with 900+ posts under your belt. Instead just adding to the clutter of repetitive threads; which is unappreciative, immature, and ruin's the community.
Just because you don't see development, you again assume there is little inspiration... that's a little mind speaking.

Actually, since the entire Droid X forum here gets less hits than my personal website (which is unlisted, unadvertised and mostly for my friends and family), discouraging anyone from posting anything that might be additional or useful information is FAR more damaging to any community you might think you serve (FYI, "the community" is not considered "you and you alone" - despite what your parents may teach you).
If YOU (of course, that's what you are thinking of here) don't like it, hit the back button. If you need guidance in locating this tool in your browser, send me a PM and I will work through it with you since I am familiar with pretty much every major browser out there.

I know there is development, but not NEARLY as much as other phones released at the same time, and certainly the majority of it isn't discussed here. Gee, wonder why.
When you;
a) Figure out that you do not speak for any community or, in fact, comprise the majority opinion just because you think you do
and
b) Find the back button or the link located at the top of the page that takes you to the message list
THEN you can even begin to talk to me. Until then, let the discussion resume with the big people and you just stay quiet and let other people do all the work.
Thanks for your cooperation.

Messaging accounts in 1

I have been asked to find a messaging app that will allow you to view all accounts in the same inbox. If you have used a blackberry this is where the request comes from. Just an app that combines sms, mms, email under a master inbox instead of going to each account to check and read.
Anyone seen an app like this?

My understanding is that you can only get WM7 (I assume that is what you mean) apps directly from the MS App Store for WM7 devices. But I don't have WM7 (and don't want it), so I'm not positive.

First off, It's WP7(Windows Phone 7). Second, The person asked about a WP7 app in the WP7 themes and Apps thread and your responding with an old WM app. If you want nothing to do with WP7 that's your choice, but don't troll the WP7 threads with BS. You're a Senior Member, act like it.

Yup, I clicked on this forum by accident and didn't realize it was WP7. And no, I don't particularly prefer WP7 - so I generally stay out of here! I don't have time to "troll" threads in which I don't have an interest.
Thanks for the update on the naming...
EDIT: Having thought about it a bit, I'm wondering why you thought it was anything other than an attempt to help someone. I don't see that your response (to which I had to respond) have added anything other than words to this topic. I generally ignore any posts that I don't think are relevant for this very reason. It has been my experience that if a person is really a troll they will simply feed off your comment, and if not, they will be offended.

So you ignored the writing on the first link you clicked, Ignored the writing on the second link you clicked. Then you ignored the writing on the final link leading to this page? Yeah. Ok. Only Homer Simpson does that. lol It was an attempt to help someone, but totally misguided. After the op told you he was looking for a WP7 app, you shouldn't have typed anything else. I may be confused, but it seemed as if you were trolling if I use your logic as well.
To the op: there isn't anything for that app-wise yet, but I think you could create a new gmail account and combine all the other emails accounts into that gmail for the same purpose output. Hope this helps and good luck.

I don't think gmail nor any other web based mail allows you to setup access to other web based mail accounts. Desktop Outlook...but not web-based email.
I'm a tech at a store front sprint location. I've seen other accounts merged with gmail before. I haven't done it personally, but when assisting customer's with their accounts I've seen the option.

Try Moves.. It pretty accurate.
I think best one is runtastic pedometer. It is brilliant and you can adjust the sensitivity of the steps. And by the way, it has to run constantly in background if you want all your steps to be counted, and yes, it has to drain your battery. Otherwise it is not possible to count all the steps. But if sometimes you don't want the app to count your steps, you can easily greenify it, and when you need it you can degreenify it.
An alternative

I would suggest try a bunch of them off Mobogenie, you can even find the regular apps that would charge you for free! That way you can try a couple of good ones without having to pay a single cent and switch the one you prefer best. Honestly it's a great store and PC client for anything else you might need as well, so I highly recommend it. Good luck otherwise!

Are you suggesting on Pirating apps on a developer community?
If you are please refrain cause anything about Pirating is against the rules of XDA. You don't want to get banned. And apps are usually very low price.

Well it's not pirated, the apps have to be approved to be on there. You're not stealing any .APKs or anything of that sort. They have system to getting them on there.

Captures: Can someone help me?

Hi,
My xda account is relatively new and every time I post here I have to deal with this horribly annoying google capture crap, which also works pretty poorly in my setup. As I understand it, if one earns enough "thanks" the horrible google captures go away. So can you help me, could you thank me for nothing so I have enough thanks to get over the capture threshold?
I'm planning to flash experimental Lineage OS ROM on my phone, which means I may have questions during or after the flash, so I really would prefer not to deal with the captures during this process.
Thanks in advance

There is an obvious problem here: to make high quality posts one needs to be able to post them and that simply may not happen with this google capture garbage.
In my case though, one of the mods, I think, disabled captures on my account and for that I am grateful. Thank you, whoever you are.
Its not hard to browse the forum and posts a few posts that contribute to the discussions, without posting nonsense. Not difficult at all really.
Millions of members have done it in the past with no issue.
And again, thanks mean nothing at all. No, they don't unlock restrictions either. :good:

If it was easy I would not have bothered creating this thread. Or do you really think I'm after free thanks?
Here's a suggestion, if you care to hear it: Replace[1] this google capture nonsense with locally hosted solution, on the page state clearly what captures require to work properly (Javascript, cookies, external hosted images, etc).
Anyhow, my problem is resolved, whoever did this - thanks.
[1] - unless, of course, the site is paid to turn your users into capture monkeys to train google AI.
Been using XDA like a normal person for years and never had any sort of issue at all with captchas or making posts.
Made some new accounts as well so not on same account the whole time lol.
