Question Is there a way to remove the bottom pillbox and to modify the status bar? - Motorola Edge 30 Ultra / Motorola Moto X30 Pro

I just bought this phone yesterday and it does not support these two feature like almost every other phone, the bottom bar(navigation bar when using full screen gesture) seems to be impossible to disable

Currently, the only way is to install and use the module with the magisk.
Normally, you can remove it through the shizuku app without routing.
This doesn't work on Motorola devices such as Edge 30, Edge 30 Ultra, etc.

[Q] Reduce size of on-screen buttons?

Just picked up my M8. Coming from an Evo LTE (Jewel), the size of the on-screen buttons is very frustrating. I keep finding myself typing in the wrong place. Tried immersive mode with an Xposed module, but eh.
I haven't seen a ROM yet that includes smaller on-screen buttons, but I know such a thing exists for other devices, so I can only assume it would be available for the M8.
Does this capability exist yet?;
Have you tried an Auto Hide keys app?

I don't think there's a way to make them smaller without a custom ROM or Xposed module. As soon as ROM development kicks off then we should see much more customizability.
Well, I didn't want to hide them completely; just make them take up less space on the screen. The immersive mode module for Xposed hides the buttons (as well as the status bar), but I'm not sure I want things things hidden all the time.

there is an app called "Dimension123" on the play store. There you can edit the height.

Yeah, sorry. It's an Xposed module not an app on play store. You have to be rooted and using Xposes Installer.
I am using Xposed and this is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Left & right keyboard controls in nav bar, swipe to adjust brighness

Hello all,
I just upgraded to the Moto g6, coming from the g5 with aokp ROM. My two most used and favorite features are the left and right arrows that appear in the navigation bar while typing, which allow the cursor to be accurately moved (annoyingly janky on the g6), and the ability to slide left or right over the notification bar to adjust the screen brightness without annoying extra swipes.
I was wondering if there is any way to get these two features on the Moto g6, as I have been missing them.
Thank your for your help!

Those were features of the custom ROM you were using. Not the device itself.
That said, I enabled those features on mine with an Xposed module. Gravitybox. Works great. But, using Xposed, safetynet will fail. But if that's not an issue for you, Xposed is the way to go.
Magisk for root
Xposed for magisk (in magisk repo)

I had asked about installing modules, but using the Xposed unity installer in magisk seemed to be what worked. somehow ended up with a very old clunky version of the app, which was not detecting that Xposed was installed. I'm all set to go, thanks again!

If you on Pie and using navbar you cannot hide it anymore.
Samsung has taken that option away.
You have to basically use the swipe gestures.
However if you use, certain apps like
eg
Shortcutter Quick Settings (Play Store)
I just tested it now, yes then you can hide navbar.
or maybe some Bixby remapper can do it.?
I however use the swipe actions .
Takes a bit, to get use to it,
but i now prefer swipe to navbar, as it seems pretty obvious
Samsung is "forcing" you to opt for
swipe.?
I've got a feeling that Samsung will drop navbar all together for swipe. (at some stage. or later ?)
Good luck.

I discovered that too recently. But the swipe gesture navigation is actually not that bad.

Hiding The Navigation Bar On Beta 1

Are there any ADB commands (or apps) that allow you to hide the navigation bar on Android 11 Beta 1? The Navigation Gestures app (that I was using) crashed when Beta 1 began running.
The Hid Nav Bar app isn't doing the trick now either. It doesn't crash, it just doesn't hide the pill on the bottom.
"adb shell"
"wm overscan 0,0,0,-120"
"wm overscan 0,0,0,0"
this will hide your navigation bar.

Have you tried this already on the Pixel 4xl running the 1st Android 11 Beta? It works, then?

no, I haven't yet tried, but this is a suggestion to hide nav.

Use the Magisk module. It works perfectly on beta 1.
Awesome! I'm not rooted, though

So, I tried this, and it worked great for a couple days. Today I woke up and my phone was on 3 button nav. Couldn't change it in settings. Rebooted, got a corrupt device alert, still not able to change in settings. Reboot again, no error, still no dice. Unchecked this and everything works again.

Strange, I haven't had issues after weeks of use.
I use Magisk Canary if that makes a change.
Also the module has been updated recently (I only saw that today).
Might want to try again as the update states "hotfix for Android 11 beta":
Not working on beta 3 for me
I tried the Magisk module today, and it appears that when enabled, it does indeed disable the Android gesture navigation. Unfortunately, it looks like Android detects this and defaults to the 3-button navbar instead.
Going back to Android's navigation selection settings at that point shows only the 3-button and 2-button nav types available so long as the module is enabled.
Once the module is disabled, the gesture navigation option does up again as a choice.
Perhaps if the module disabled all three options Android offers, there would be nothing to default to, lol.
At any rate, it doesn't seem to work for me.

Searching module that adds status bar gestures

Hi there dudes.
I'm searching a module that allows to use status bar gestures. To be exactly I search for a module to swipe at the status bar to change the brightness.
Googled for 2 days and only found an app (super status bar).
Is there a similar magisk module out there for Android 12?

I dont think you'll find a magisk module, but you can certailny simulate that with Xposed Edge module (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jozein.xedge&hl=pl&gl=US). Actually you can place brightness slide on whatevere screen edge you like. Plus this module has a ton of other funcionalities, especially in Pro version. You would need to install LSPosed framework first. If you are interested and need any help, let me know
You'll likely need Xposed. Gravitybox can do it, along with lots of other goodies. Easy to install through Lsposed magisk module.
