When is the last security update for MI A2

Good day, friends!
Can anyone tell me when is the last security update for MI A2? Is there schedule from Xiaomi?

middle of next year as far as i know, 3 years of security patches and 2 of major updates, it was released early-mid 2018 so i guess we got our 2 major updates o -> p and p -> q.
based on the mi a1 history that's not getting android 10 i would guess by the end of the year xiaomi is off the hook with support.
it's very goood news that lineage picked it up officially together with all the sd660 xiaomi phones

What do you mean? There is only MI A1 ROM to download on official site:crying:

nope lineage 17.1 is android 10 based.
it's gonna be funny, unlike xiaomi they actually merge the monthly security patch within days of release. and with one of the head devs from lineage workin on it we can expect to have some very nice support too.
ill take this occasion to thank the lineage team once again, it's exactly what the mi a2 needed! and once things get going a serious slap on the face for xiaomi and how they handled their android one program!

I have error Whoops - this page doesn't exist trying to download Lineage Recovery for mi a2 https://download.lineageos.org/jasmine_sprout Why?:crying:

builds are still mia. they tried to bring the build servers back last night but not yet ready.
give it a bit longer, what's important is that the a2 is supported, a few more days/weeks for them to restart builds? maybe?
p.s. they hate eta's it will be fixed when it's fixed, unlike xiaomi they are doing this as a hobby on their spare time. xiaomi has 0 excuses for the way they handle the android one program, lineage does: first they dont make money off it, second most of them have actual jobs and work on lineage just on their spare time. that's why it's gonna be soo funny once users start using the official lineage for it and enjoy it far more then the official xiaomi rom.
bookmark that link, it's the only place where you'll find the official lineage rom. be warry of anythng that's not downloaded from the official site.

Question is Pixel Experience coming any time soon?

When do you guys think Pixel Experience is coming for Mi11 , or do you guys have any other stock android roms for Mi11 that are stable for daily driving to recommend? Just can wait to get rid of Miui

Unfortunately there any AOSP developement for the moment on Mi 11 (Venus).
There no updates (security/fixes) and no developement in progress (rom or a12)
You will be patient, or better buy a Pixel 6/Pro ^^
If you want, actually the best AOSP rom stay SSOS (ShapeShift OS), merge Pixel Experience and Extra stuff.
Unfortunately rom is not updated, lastest build is from 26 september.

urgh too bad , I really like the pixel series but in Malaysia just the Pixel 6 base model cost around $785 so it's not really worth it. thanks for ur info

I have the device tree for A12 and I think using A11 version of Vendor_xiaomi is fine.
But I'm not sure if I can use the kernel for A11

Question [spes/spesn] no google custom rom when?

Slowly new custom roms are fading in for the spes/spesn redmi note 11 and now there finally is its own forum here.
A custom rom without Google and its services is still missing among these roms.
Hit a post here if you find some de-googled custom roms, will do the same.

The lack of de-googled official roms seems to come from the fact that xiaomi did not yet open source the kernel source code for the spes/spesn devices. https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource

I'm leaving this spes/spesn and will try to get a device where the OEM is more cooperative with opening their source code. There will be no further updates from me in this Thread.
Make sure to drop new information here, since there are and will be quite some people wanting official custom roms without google.

That would be highly fancy, do you maybe have a link? I couldnt find anything in that regard.

i currently use Pixel Experience GSI rom and runs good noted: i installed via fastboot not using twrp recovery (as same as monthly update) Noted: now i move to PixelPlus UI for Android Auto Compatibility

Spark OS is also without gapps (vanilla version). Currently I am using LeOS (GSI). Its ungoogled by default and works well.

Tried Lineage OS linked in this thread , I cant install gapps ,can anyone do a build with gapps.

Hello, I'm looking to build and maintain roms for this phone. Do you guys have roms that you want me to maintain?

LineageOS needs some bugfixing. help them out first before building new, buggy OSes.

Pixel experience could look and feel super nice on this device, but as of now i think that it could be helpful to complete LineageOS, since it is still in alpha stage

Lineageos would be great, it will benefit plenty of other roms, including the degoogled ones!

You do have quite a lot. Most custom ROMs for Mi 11 Pro are compatible with 11 Ultra. PixelExperience (both unofficial and official), official crDroid, official Project Elixir, official EvolutionX, unofficial CherishOS, unofficial DerpfestAOSP, unofficial riceDroid, and probably more.
Edit: Even though, you're unlikely to get support for Mi 11 Ultra for official PixelExperience, since the developer never mentioned that it's compatible with 11 Ultra.

And I think the dev from official pe allready dropped support . When you visit site there is no maintainer anymore with mars

Because they're not allowed to support android 12 anymore. According to PE's blog, December 2022 is the last month for Android 12 support.
Therefore, there's a big chance that the dev will bring 13 to Mars

there is official and unofficial pixel expirience, official crdroid, official evoX, unofficial ricedroid, unofficial cherrishOS, official project elixir, official project 404, official derpfest and you say that there is no roms for mi11u
