Same here. NikkGapps Core doesn't want to mount the system partition either
I got MindTheGapps working by following the install instructions. When fully complete, after f2fs factory reset I rebooted into recovery and adb update MindTheGapps. Reboot to system - all ok

Is there a way to install Magisk in this ROM? does anybody have done it? Android 13 doesn't play along with Magisk AFAIK, also, does anybody have some feedback about the Bluetooth experience with this ROM? specially during calls and pairing devices (smartwatches, etc)

magisk works flawlessly with this rom. bluetooth calls are having some issues (reported by users in my group-

Some items at the top bar goes weird, or the navbar buttons gets closer to eachother hour by hour. It looks like some kind of alignment confusing... Others experiencing this issue?
Changing DPI value works, but this is a temporary workaround.
And I wanna say thanks anyway for your effort into building this rom for star2lte.

thank you for this amazing rom
looooove you

first thx for the rom support!
after reading the flashing instructions, I flashed:

Magisk-v25.2
MindTheGapps-13.0.0-arm64-20221025_100653
Everything works fine besides google maps gps location. has someone the same problem or is it a rom thing?

Hello good afternoon, thank you very much for the collaboration in the rom, I wanted to ask you for a little help, since I am new to installing a rom, I have no idea how to start and what programs to use. I see that they are not like the other roms that were installed by recovery. How would you install this rom?
From what I read, the gps does not work? It's true?
Thank you

Hi Guys,
just some questions about installing.
- What Recovery and Version is in the link and why is this version recommended? Is it a modified TWRP?
- can i use Standard TWRP 3.7.0-9.0 for installation?
- is ADB Sideload installation recomended? Why?
- or can i just flash the Zip the standard way in TWRP since i did it all the years before with all older android Versions.
Thanks and regards.

Permissive for now
@adi153 thanks a lot for your work with this ROM :
Flashed ROM along with Flame Gapps (formerly Exlite Gapps) and magisk 20.1. All running really well, very smooth and great as a daily driver for me. SELinux permissive is no issue for me at the moment as I don't run any banking or similar type apps that may look for the status of SELinux.
Thanks again for the great work

Possibly found one small bug with the notification light, it only blinks once when an initial message (SMS) comes in and then does not continue to blink when the screen goes back to sleep, I've played around with the settings in both the messaging app and in the CR Droid settings notifications section, but still only blinks once for incoming SMS. There is no issue with calendar notifications, the light blinks as it should and continues to blink when the screen is asleep.
Still a great ROM though. keep up the good work
Edit - @adi153, my apologies, nothing to do with a ROM issue, the problem is with the app itself (Google messages), it was installed as a system app as part of Flame Gapps full package, so I tested by doing a clean install of crdroid, this time with open gapps then installing Google messages as a normal user APK and still the same notification light issue. I then reverted back to the android pre installed messages app and the notification light works as it should. Thanks again for the great ROM

Encryption with this release
Hello everybody,
anyone tried to encrypt the phone after installing the latest release? I did not have any luck so far, got either a short Android screen with a reset into the system or a stuck black screen after reboot. Is this a known issue? Had similar issues with the 5.8 release, but eventually it worked.

Safetynet fix:
1. After booting up, go to Magisk Manager>settings and enable MagiskHide. Also hide Magisk Manager.
2. From the modules section, download BusyBox and HideProps module
3. Enable Developer settings and inside that, enable local terminal.
4. Reboot your phone
5. Enter the terminal app and type su. Then grant it root permission.
6. Type 'props' then '1' and then 'f'
7. From the menu, go to Samsung, then choose your device, confirm and reboot.
8. Your safetynet should pass and device should show certified. If it doesn't, wipe data for Google play services, Google play store and reboot.
Changelog:
29-12-2020 : Initial release
31-12-2020 : Added F2FS support [Stock Kernel doesn't support it so you need a custom kernel with f2fs filesystem supported]

Two issues for me, it's Samsung Health and Galaxy Wearable, since I have Gear Fit 2 Pro, but finally found solution and it works.

There's no way you can measure battery in such a short time - too many variables.
Give logs for the clock crash please

NikGapps 11 omni. But error, probably, is not in ROM, maybe some mistake, when i flashed. Now I try last release ForkLineage.
I tried to follow the steps provided here, used latest NikGapps Basic Arm64 and when the OS started it says "Google Play services keeps stopping".
I did an upgrade, through the updater and now stuck in a bootloop. Has anyone had sucess updating without a bootloop?
edit: I managed to update by downloading and installing it manually, but after using nikgapps, i get FC got Google PLay Services
Apparently pixel experience was discontinued for this device im considering switching to this rom, why does it require firmware(vendor) this was never a requirement for pixel experience.
Is there a way to check my current firmware version?? From TWRP or inside Pixel experience rom...
Hi,
as of now, I tested several of the ROMs listed here.
This one suits my needs & taste much better than the others, almost perfect
I did not fully test yet, but for now the only issues I found are :
- when installing the ROM, it's been blocked several times (even wiping cache/data), the install also emptied internal storage (the other ROMs did not)
- I installed NikGapps Core (with a reduced subset) : I can't change the google play services permissions for SMS access & call log. This is also the case on all the other ROMs I tested. It is preventing me to setup Signal application which does not allow manual code check as Whatsapp does. [Edit : somehow after some time I've been able to allow SMS access and then disable it]
- I did not fnd how to change the date/time size in the notif bar.
Edit 1: I installed gcam and the app crashes at every launch.
Edit2 : 25% battery used during an 8 hours night with the phone in airplane mode.
Edit3: the "recent apps" nav button takes time to show the apps
Hi,
There is an update available.
On the changelog I see "Switched to Gapps build".
Does that mean they are now including gapps to the ROM ?
If so, I'll have to look for another ROM
Too bad, that one was ok for me.

Hi,
has someone installed this new version ?
If so :
- can someone run from a windows command window or linux shell : adb shell pm list packages so that we can see what google stuff, bloatware and spyware has been added ?

- have you identified improvements in any way ?
Thanks

Hey there! I'm sorry, I must have forgotten to add the patch to fix them. The next time I build the ROM I'll try to fix them.
One of the most best Android ROMs. Hope to see more CrDroid development, good work

What gestures are missing? I've gone through and looked, and navigation gestures work perfectly.

Go into crDroid settings in the settings app, go to stock navbar settings, then into System navigation. There should be options for navigation gestures.

Sorry, it's a little hard to find.
Thanks for the ROM!
I couldn't find "OpenGapps Beta Nano" as mentioned in instructions for Android 11, however I was able to successfully boot with: NikGapps-core-arm64-11-20210601. I tried basic before this and failed to boot.

Sorry, my mistake. It's called 'OpenGapps Test', which can be found here. https://sourceforge.net/projects/opengapps/files/arm64/test/. I have also added the link into the original post. While NikGapps might work, there may be a few bugs.
@EonOfBlack I installed your suggested package after I had issues with a specific app crashing. Are there any tips on ways I can debug it? I extracted the logs and see it gets a SIGSEGV, but I'm not that familiar with the Android logs so I don't know what to look for exactly.
Or would this actually be more of a problem with OpenGapps being beta? I had the same problem with NikGapps btw.
Other apps work just fine and overall it seems like a super nice ROM. Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply. While I have not had this issue myself, another user has and I have been informed about it. I don't think it would be the Gapps package causing the issue. When you say that you 'extracted the logs' where did you find these? The provided 'MatLog' app is an easy way of capturing a logcat. The next time it happens, can you please send me a logcat using this app?

Hi man good work
Welcome !!!
On point "5. Enter recovery - Factory reset (Clean flash)", los and havoc recovery only has option to erase everything from the phone, no system, nothing.
Something I am missing?
Does the ROM recognize Verizon sims? That is, does it work with phone on the Verizon network?

1. Delete recovery.img from the folder you get from extracting payload.bin
2. then rename havoc recovery to recovery.img
3. copy that renamed recovery and put it in the payload extracted folder
Then flash the rom again
Can I flash with twrp?
I could not proceed beyond the welcome screen. Android Setup keeps stopping and eventually I get Qualcomm dump mode.
logcat zip is at https://github.com/ArjunZe/logs/blob/main/logcat2.zip
Fingerprint works?
Thank you so much for this build. Looking forward to see it's progress and use it as a daily driver. Someone installed, please share your experiences. Is it good to go as a daily driver now?
Awesome, thanks!
Some who has already installed, or OP, what about the custom rom verification (i.e. Mario Run, banking apps). I've been running AEX and so far has been the only issue.
