TA: all the numbers are 0
There is my 920c picture
I think something not right on your device
The problem has been solved by enabling Mobile Data, once enabled it, the device got registered and downloaded the update

Before you enabled Mobile Data.. Did you set the APN settings correctly? APN is the Access Point Names for the specific carrier you are with.
This link will help you with the Access Point Names.

I'm starting to think you got ripped off... Where you trying to buy a Samsung Galaxy Note 5? Or a Samsung Galaxy J7?? I hate to tell you this if you wanted a Samsung Galaxy Note you didn't get it and you were sold a Samsung Galaxy J7 which is why you couldn't find the unlock codes because Verizon doesn't sim card lock their devices anymore and if I was you and you know who you bought that J7 from, I'd pay them a visit!! I shudder to know what you paid for that Galaxy J7 because a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 a REAL one like mine 64GB cost me 800.00 USD and that Samsung Galaxy J7 isn't even worth 200.00 USD... What did they charge you for the phones price to buy it??

I have received configuration messages from my mobile carrier when I inserted SIM card, and I and installed them (the carrier is MTS, from Serbia). Yes, I wanted to buy Samsung Galaxy J710 Dual SIM. Both SIM slots are unlocked. I tried turning Wifi off and just mobile data on... Nothing changed... Same error again.
I just realized that this topic is for Galaxy Note 5 phones... Sorry about that. This is the only place I found mentioning anything about "Software Update - Registration Failed" problem...

All I can suggest is to install updated firmware for the J7 using Odin and then put a sim card in and set the APN settings correctly then see if it works and if it doesn't you'll have to go to the place that you buy your Internet from and have them set it up..

Is it possible that wrong CSC code caused software update registration to fail?
I lost my whole day reading about it. It is set to XSG (United Arab Emirates, I think).
Also, I was supprised when I found out that KNOX Warranty Void is 0x1. I never rooted this phone, nor install anything outside Google play. I also found information that my native language interface was installed on 27th December 2016. Is it possible that this broke KNOX? Could it be the proof that someone did something that is preventing device to update?

Yes thats all possible since knox is tripped.. Once knox gets tripped it usually causes the phone a lot of problems.. And no installation of a language cannot trip knox the only thing that could tripped knox was because someone rooted it before you got it.. And if it has an incorrect CSC yeah that will mess with any updates... If you want to at least get that phone up and running again I'd suggest you may as well reroot it again and install your own kernel and rom that you can find on the net.. There's usually a few good roms and kernels out nowadays that run great and a lot of times even better than the stock rom.. Are you sure you didn't buy a fake phone?? What does CPU Z from the play store say about the information on your phone? Like the bootloader information the CPU the amount of memory and even the amount of space.. I need to know so I can check against a real one.

Hi Mikkie86, I just bought an International Note 5 and having the same issue. It's XSG and Knox is 0x1. Also it doesn't even try to look up software updates, it says Process Failed. Have you got any solution with that?
The place I've bought is doesn't accept returns, I'm so mad right now. They also didn't inform me about the device is Note 5 Duos. I figured it out as I was putting my sim card in it.

SM-N920F Stock ROMs

Greetings all,
Hope you are doing well. I have bought a Galaxy Note 5 with the model SM-N920F. Unfortunately, the phone keeps rebooting from time to time. Searching through internet, all people were suggesting to reflash the ROM.
The problem is, where to get an original ROM for SM-N920F.
Thank you for your support,

Now this is very funny:
Code:
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N920P
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM
FAP LOCK: OFF
According to IMEI it is T-Mobile, now from download mode it shows the P version which is Spint.
Does that mean I can flash any ROM from the following: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N920P/SPR/

Before flashing, kindly check Swappa for the device variant.
The device could be blacklisted by either of the carriers and you'd get stuck with the wrong firmware.
If you still want to go ahead, then try flashing the stock 920P firmware but there is a chance that the device might get bricked due to incorrect firmware since your device has 3 different models.
Check with carriers first to verify the device and its exact model.

From the download menu as I mentioned before:

Using IMEI showing that the device is not blacklisted or stolen.

Then the stock 920P firmware is a better option for Odin since this relates to the model mentioned in download mode.
The one mentioned in settings could have been modified.

Hello WindGhost did you solve this problem ? I have also a NOTE 5 F , still with 5.01 , and no official 6.0.1 around
But for me already the LTE isn't working perfect , i have 2 note 5 the other is a 9208 with have 6.0.1 and there the LTE ( or 4G ) is twice as fast as this F version ...
Also in android stated a F version and in BOOTLOADER a N920P.
Pls advice greetings.
If what you have is a N920P then you don't have LTE. N920P has HSPDA+ only.
I've got white N920F with bootloader N920PVPS3BPJ2. It seems it is really an unlocked sprint N920P. Cause despite having 4G icon in statusbar I see only HSPA in mobile network status. Thanks for pointing out this difference, now I'm more concerned about this.

N00B question, N960W running Rogers bloat, is there a generic universal FW?

I just got my hands on a Note 9 that was bought from Rogers and therefore has the Rogers rom.
I can use ADB or PDP to remove the bloat, but for the sake of simplicity, I would much rather just use a standard universal rom. I remember being able to do this when I had my Note 7 but its been a while and I'm forgetting the process. I remember using Odin lol.
Any advice and help is greatly appteciated! Also, I tried searching but XDA search NEVER seems to show results, EVER.

I'm almost certain the SM-N960U1 firmware will work on your phone.
However, you may lose some carrier-specific functionality (WI-FI Calling/VoLTE/VVM/etc....) by doing so.
I have no direct knowledge of Rogers, but, there is a dedicated Canadian Note 9 thread you may want to take a look at before proceeding:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...te-9-canadian-thread-rumours-pricing-t3826820
EDIT:
@imatts
Taking a look at this this site (Updato),it looks like there may be Canadian-specific unlocked/SIM-Free (SM-N960W) firmware:
https://updato.com/firmware-archive...&rpp=15&r=SPC,XAC&order=date&dir=desc&exact=1
Again,my knowledge of Canadian versions & carriers is non-existent,so,please take a look in the thread I linked above for guidance.

Thank you. Another noob question (if anyone else is reading this, feel free to also help!)
I see a ton of random characters after the N960W, what do they mean? How do I know which one to choose, and also, whats the difference between the XAC and SPC versions?

I can help you there. I wrote a guide to decode the build number. It was written for the N960U, but still applies to the N960W.
---------- Post added at 10:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:00 PM ----------
You can tell what version of Android it is just by the build number. You can also tell if each update just contains the updated security patch, or if new features were added or updated.*
The first character (S or U) tells you if it's a security patch or a feature update. S = Security Patch and U = Feature Update (features added or changed)
The second character (a number) tells you bootloader version. This is important to know when upgrading and downgrading OS versions. You can NOT downgrade the bootloader. 1 = Bootloader V1, 2 = Bootloader v2, etc...*
The third character tells you the Android version. This is different for each Galaxy device. A is the Android version that device 2as released with. (For the Note 9 A=Oreo; C=Pie) B will likely be newer versions of Oreo, possibly with an updated bootloader. Z is for official Samsung BETA program builds.*
The fourth character is the year of the build (R=2018, S=2019). This is the same across all Galaxy devices.
The fifth character is the month of the build. This does not indicate what security patch it contains, only what month it was built. (A=January, B=February). Again, same across all Galaxy Devices.*
The sixth character is just the sequence of builds that month (1-9, then A-Z)
SO
S - Security Patch
1 - Bootloader V1
A - Oreo
R - 2018
J - October build
9 - 9th build in October
and*
U - Feature update
1 - Bootloader V1
C - Pie
R - 2018
L - December build
2 - 2nd build in December
and
U - Feature update
1 - Bootloader v1
Z - Official Samsung BETA program build
R - 2018
K - November build
P - 25th build in November
So let's break down my current build number, N960U1UEU1ZRLL
N960U1 - Build is for the Factory unlocked U1 model
UE - Honestly I have no idea, LOL
U - Features updated or added
1 - Bootloader V1
Z - Official beta build
R - 2018
L - December*
L - 12th build in December
Make sense?
all canadian firmwares I've seen are identical. the trick would be to change your sales code to XAC(unbranded Canadian region code). and just flashing the XAC firmware wont do squat as it still contains all carriers because its multi csc and your sim card will still end up being detected and get its carriers bloat. (SPC = PC mobile , president's choice? lol)
i have no experiance with flashing u1 on a W.
but if it works, loosing csc specific features and other stuff might not be worth it in the end just to debloat.

You may be right. I honestly haven't researched that part of the build number.
Edit:. It appears that's correct. I can find a list of region codes, but ironically none of them include US region codes. But that has to be the region code.
The N60U1 firmware all show a region code of UE, and the carrier branded N960U show a region code of SQ.
Thanks for the info!!

I can help you there. I wrote a guide to decode the build number. It was written for the N960U, but still applies to the N960W.

Dude I am so thankful that you took the time to break this down for me, and you have helped me dramatically. Makes perfect sense, and I've gone ahead and downloaded the proper fw!
I downloaded the XAC version. It says 4hrs til complete though -_-

what i hate about samsung naming conventions is that they have at least 3 variation of them:
-device build identification (like on the oem box)
-firmware build identification
-csc build identification
and the damn country code is all diferent even if its all from the same place.

Yeah, and it doesn't make sense. How is UE or SQ United States? Or North America? Or whatever region it represents? Hell, XX is Europe. Wouldn't EU make more sense?

Heyyyy lol, so I used Odin (3.12.3) and I was expecting ti wait a long time for the fw to flash, but when I pressed start, it showed green, passed, succeeded and rebooted into the setup I had previously, all within a few seconds.
Do you (or anyone reading) know why??
I was hoping to completely reset my phone and restore to the stock FW.

not sure what you dled but firmwares are to be unzipped and odin slots filles with:
BL
AP
CP
CSC
in your case flashing only csc.md5 should work.
you need to use odin 3.13.1
but this is besides my point. all canadian firmware contain all carriers. so you'll just end up with a reset phone full of bloat anyways.
edit:
so what carrier is your sim card from?

Samsung pay for galaxy watch 3

Hi I bought BT version of galaxy watch 3. Everything is working great for now, only I tried to install samsung pay but I always get some error:
Tried this one:
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...-gear-1-7-3006-android-apk-download/download/
Help mi to get Samsung pay to work.
Thank you
SM-R840 or SM-R850?
Btw, but you know it is not in all counies...
A
enabled
B
not working
For instance Germany.
DBT Phone + DBT GW3 = forget S Pay.
Best Regards
SM-R840
Okay.
Now if not Top Secret.
Country... better to know Sales Code aka CSC...
Example...
KOO is Korea... but seems Samsung Pay not work in Korea...
Working country is for example... USA... with Sales Code aka CSC aka active CSC:
Code:
XAR
If you are from US... so good chain to increase your luck is:
Samsung Phone with Sales Code from US
+
Watch with CSC from US
+
Valid allowed supported Credit Cards for Spay...
Because this is also 1 funtastic phenomenon... not all Cards are samsung Pay enabled as it seems...
If you wish to try CSC change... then Combination firmware and Stock Firmware allready leaked... but nobody tested yet... IMHO...
Only as info.
Best Regards
Did anyone figure out how to chnage region on GW3 yet?
Slovenia... As I know official Samsung pay is not available in Slovenia... But also google pay is not available and I installed it on my phone and it is working great
@Veles128
All I know is Samsung increased Security in Tizen 5.5...
But this means NOT... old tricks not work...
In theory all leaked what """we""" need.
Combination FirmwareS to have Root access...
Stock Firmware to get back to """Normality"""
My suggestion is to check first if Reading and Backup work in CSA partition...
This could be done without play with Firmware...
Attempt to copy to PC:
Code:
sdb pull /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf
Code:
sdb pull /csa/imei/prodcode.dat
Attempt to show only:
Code:
sdb shell
Code:
cat /csa/csc/csc-active-customer.inf
Code:
cat /csa/imei/prodcode.dat
Try and see if this is working...
Maybe Samsung protected CSA again like in old Gear S2 times...
Best Regards
Any option to get working google pay apk for tizen 5.5? ? That would be super awesome
GW3 stock firmware us
hi, anyone have access or know where can I download the official US rom for SM-R840.
By mistake I did the *#243203855# install KOO and not able to get it back to original firmware.
Thanks
@roriii
Can you maybe explain what exact you wish...
Because IMHO SM-R840 is BT only device... this means netOdin files contains ALL CSC... also for USA:
Code:
XAR
Here I have uploaded few files...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=83275439&postcount=29
No idea if this is """official""" enough for you... because leaked files...
Only as info.
Best Regards
Thanks guys I manage to edit the CSC.

hello and can you describe to me how you managed to change the region. I want to change to the American one to have samsung pay but I don't know how to handle it. Please help.
Did anybody figure how to change csc on Tizen 5?
I need S-pay on the GW3,
I know the previous generations of watches had S-pay pre-installed, Wonder why they left it out this time around. Hope someone soon figures a way out to change the CSC or even better Hope Samsung roles an update out with S-Pay installed

wow thx!! Will try.
Do u have LTE or BT version?

watch 3 lte - Combination file vs old flash

Hy guys
I have not yet bought the watch but I have searched this subforum for all possible information and I have many doubts.
Assuming that I am chooising the lte version, the purchase will be bound to the possibility of ecg, SP02, BP.
I would buy the Italian version, but I consider other recommended version
i have reject the way to install the two mod apk & tpk by caravana( and the sequent updates) respectively for ecg & BP because i read of many updates & sync issues.
I know that in italy there are the sw update that introduce this features....but there are only for not lte version
Taking on that the right way for me is change country (CSC) ( This Is The way :cyclops: )
So we come to the questions:
-Which country i must switch for the correct working of ecg, SP02, BP, Spay?
-Why i can't change country without the use of combination file? I'm a ex Samsung user and i remember that I use only csc ap bl cp for the flash what are change? I don't underestand.
Thank you for the clarifications.
Thanks again.
Hello, i'm an italian LTE version owner's, i installed the two mod apk & tpk by caravana without any issue and they work wery well. Only thing i miss is the SPO2 reading!
I also would like to understand how to mod the watch in a reversible way without losing guarantee (i don't know if there is any knox counter or similar), continuing to use Spay and italian e-sim.
But why Samsung has never update this version yet????
Probably this workaround ( the two mod app for BP & ecg) will have issues when you update the Samsung healt monitor o Samsung Healt or the tizen.
An issue already present is the lack of sync BP.
It isn't a stable solution.
But if we change the country i think that we can Spay,BP,ecg & Sp02 work correctly in the watch.
If we flash a standard firmware from other region i think that there aren't issues with knox. BUT... i don't understand why the xda's users use just this magical "combination file".
For first we should find the perfect europe country where all these features work in correct way.
After this we can flash the firmware, csc, & co ....But i think that there's something i'm missing
I have bad feeling about the Samsu.g update...you know that in non LTE version there is a update that switch on all the feature?....
Thank you
i have study the situation.
I have seen that there are the combination file also for the lte version.
being able to choose, i would buy the OXA version...but u know...it's impossibile know the csc version before the purchase...
So i have the BIG question:
- i need use the combination file to install the fw OXA with NetOdin? Or i can simply flash the files?
The doubt comes to me because everyone posts this guide which is also the method with which the old device was flashed
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78800094&postcount=7
-are there people who have had issue with BP, ecg & co? Like not precise or total wrong measure, i don't interest a millimetric precision.
Thank u.
Up..
Pls
