Sony Music Pro is it possible (MOD) on Xperia 1 II?
Music Pro 1.0.0.A.0.44 APK Download by Sony Corporation - APKMirror
Music Pro 1.0.0.A.0.44 APK Download by Sony Corporation - APKMirror Free and safe Android APK downloads
www.apkmirror.com

it possible. but only if you have activity launcher. i have been use it for long time. the "premium services" is paid only. so in the end only good for recording audio.
here how:
1.download version 1.0.0.A.0.39 from apkmirror
2.download app to launch activity. i am using Activity launcher(available on play store)
3.find music pro(if you cannot find it. try musicpro without space. or just search pro)
4.there should be 3 unlocked activity find .ui.editaudiactivity. and place shortcut on home.
5.now you able to use music pro without problem from shortcut
the reason it need to use activity launcher. because the default activity is welcomeactivity. the problem is. this activity that only trigger at launch is crashing. it could be because some sony API/library/back end app is missing. or it could be some type of anti privacy protection from sony. so there app cannot be launch on non official devices
PS:this version work fine so im never plan to update it. but you could try with lasted version first if you want to

Install apps outside Oculus Store

I am tired of the lack of functionality of the Player branded to Oculus VR: Samsung VR, Moon Player, Video or Theater, i want a player that will allow me to add my own folders but work the same as Moon player(no file renaming). I found some good players in Playstore but how to port them into Oculus Store ? It's very annoying to remove the glasses and the phone every time you are changing apps without Oculus. Anybody has a solution how to port apps into Oculus Store ?
Before I installed a custom MarshMall Rom, I was using Fulldive and I had the mouse cursor enabled on my phone launcher and apps (not sure how, maybe because of sixaxis and my ps3 controller?).
Then I would place the shortcuts on the home screen where I could see them with one eye and click on them using the vr touchpad to move the cursor.
I just did the ROM the other day and have been messing with just trying to everything working again.
I have looked into this, I didn't find a way to import apps to oculus home. I tried using a custom ROM, but that bricked my phone. Only other way I found was to use package disabler
Is there a place to download oculus apps outside from the store anyway?
Apk extractor

The only way I know to do this would require someone who has the desired Oculus app already installed on their device. They would have use an APK extractor to get the apk file then copy it to your device and install it. Since its already an Oculus signed application it should show up in your library. You could possibly do this with paid apps as well
There is an app called SideloadVR which allows you to install apps outside the Oculus store. Be aware that you need an *.osig file to make it work. It explains the process in the app. Hope I helped

[GUIDE] How to use Android Auto without Google Play Music (use existing music app)

I've been searching for a way to use Android Auto without Google Play Music ever since I got my new car which supports Android Auto. I mostly want to use AA for the map functionality, and to use my phone's default music player (Samsung Music, since I'm on an S8) because I absolutely hate Google Play Music. I've finally found a way to achieve what I wanted.
NOTE: If your phone does NOT have Google Play Music as a system app, you will need to be rooted and have Magisk installed to do this.
Prep work [if you don't have GPM preinstalled as a system app, YOU NEED MAGISK ROOT]:
1. Download and install Google Play Music from the Play Store.
2. Download and install any terminal emulator app (I used Termux).
3. Open up Magisk and install the App Systemizer (Terminal Emulator) module. Reboot and enable.
4. In your terminal emulator app, become root (su).
5. Run the command "systemize".
6. Select "Systemize Installed Apps (Listed)". Wait while it loads the app list.
7. Type the number that corresponds to Google Play Music. After that, tell it to install to priv-app.
8. Run the command "reboot" or restart your phone normally.
Setting up AA [start here if you have GPM preinstalled as a system app! NO ROOT]:
9. Open your settings app, go to Apps, select Google Play Music and DISABLE it. If it uninstalls, repeat steps 1-8 because something was missed.
10. Download AnyAutoAudio from here and install it to your phone: https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...eral/app-anyautoaudio-audio-app-auto-t3607916
11. Open Android Auto on your phone. Click the hamburger menu, then go to About.
12. Tap "About Android Auto" 10 times, until developer mode becomes enabled.
13. Tap the three dots to the top right, and go to Developer settings.
14. Scroll down and enable "Unknown sources". Once done, exit out of Android Auto completely.
15. Open AnyAutoAudio, follow the setup.
16. Open up your preferred music app (in my case, Samsung Music) and play some music.
17. Open back up Android Auto and select the "music" icon. It should now default to AnyAutoAudio since we have that instead of GPM, which in turn should default to your music player.
At this point, you can now use Android Auto without Google Play Music, and hook it up to your car's head unit if supported. Congrats!
Side note: you may be able to also do this with the other required apps for Android Auto, however it may break a lot of functionality. Try it at your own risk.
Good guide, but GPM is not the only App which officially supports Android Auto.
For streaming: Spotify, Amazon, Deezer
Local muic: Musicolet, Pulsar
And if you feel like experimenting check out my oem-tab App for music

But having GPM installed is a requirement to use AA, which is stupid. I personally only want to use one music app (Samsung Music).

how do i access "secret" apps?

Hey,
i have the Nokia 8 with pure android and i got that feeling that there are some "secret" apps. For example in Spotify there is an option called equalizer. and when i do some cool changes there it does not only affect Spotify but all sounds. On my old phone with Lineage OS there was an stand alone equalizer app installed and when i open the Spotify equalizer option this app was opened. So i wonder if the stock android has an on board equalizer, too and how would i open it without Spotify?
Another "secret" app is the weather app from google. I have that google widget on the homescreen that tells me what date it is and if there is anything in my calendar for today (hopefully it will do that i added it today and there where no entry for today) And somewhen (don't know why) there was in addition weather information and when i clicked on it it opened a google weather app. But i cannot find that app from the app drawer.
Hopefully some of you can help me with those apps. I'm absolutely new to pure android. Before the android versions were always modified by HTC or Lineage,...
You can download shortcut for equalizer in Google Play store. I think the same with weather app

Xperia keyboard removed from Play Store?

I cannot find anymore "Xperia keyboard" in Play Store (to replace SwiftKey Keyboard).
However, in my Play Store Library (Play Store > Ma apps & games > Library) I have found it and... successfully installed.
Question 1:
Does anyone if Sony is somehow hiding this app from official Play Store?
Question 2:
Does anyone know if I can trust to Xperia keyboard installed form here?

I think Album can be downloaded from Google Play Store
Can you please confirm if my comment right ?
It can't be found in Play Store, so you can't install it. If you find it through Play Store on Chrome you can't install it because it is not compatible.
I've got this issue too. I've tried taking the album apk from xperia 5 and it installed on my new 1 ii but force closed whenever I opened it. Does anyone know of a way to get it working? I really miss the old album app
I've got the same problem....would like a Sony video player as well, do they make one?
Look for Sony cross device section and install an universal apk.
