This guide is the result of several trials and experiments and is largely based on the work of others, whom I thank, especially the work of @badmania98.
The guide is based on deactivating the Google Services Framework but still keeping the Google account logged in and thus allowing the relevant services and applications to work with the latest version of Google Play Services.
What works:
- Notifications
- Play services upgradeable to any version
- Android Auto
- Google apps such as Youtube, Gmail and others.
- Games and apps that require Google Services Framework and Play Store
- Google location history
- Banking apps
What doesn't work:
- Play Store (should be replaced with Aurora Store)
- Google Geolocation Accuracy Service.
- Google Pay (not tested but probably not working, you can use other apps like Curve)
- Google Sound Search
- The "Hey Google" feature in Google Assistant
Procedure:
- Using one of the systems suggested in @badmania98's guide login to your google account and update Google Play Services to version 21.24.56 so that you can access the Play Store.
- Download all the apps you need and login (necessary! Especially in banking apps)
- Download the Aurora Store apk
- Enable USB Debugging and download the adb platform tools from the following link:

- Plug in the cable and set the airplane mode.
- Open the console inside the folder contained in the archive and enter the following commands:
adb devices
adb shell pm disable-user --user 0 com.google.android.gsf

- After that go to Settings -> App -> App -> Show System Processes -> Google Account Manager -> Archive -> Clear Data
- Reboot the phone
- Disable airplane mode and via Aurora Store update Google Play Services to the latest version and the rest of the Google apps.
At this point everything should work, including notifications, without any kind of error.
If updating any app shows an error you can simply reactivate the Google Services Framework, reset Google Play Services to version 21.24.56 and download the updated app from the Play Store, then repeat the steps in the guide to get updated notifications and Google Play Services back.

i was on 20.21.17 when i tried the guide now iam on 23.14.16 google services and 35.4.10 google play

I have the latest Gapps but still not getting push notifications for all my mails in Gmail. I've reinstalled Gmail as well. Also one of my bank app now have push notifications even though it didn't before.
What I've done: I disabled GSF as instructed here. However, play store still works, geolocation works too.

i first install all google services on emui 10(for P40 you need to be on emui 10 for the backup exploit to work). had some issues(my mistake playing and messing with my phone) uninstall and reinstall again on emui 12 .i am on latest emui 12 firmware at the moment

P40 Pro emui 10 android auto cannot be started, how to set it on the phone? Thanks
You can use multitool 8 to disable google services framework for working push notification and play store and you can update google play services to the latest version without play protect error, instead of using cmd or icedbox

Try this btw-
Go to settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All applications>Google play store>clear data and then try opening it.
If that dint work. Open play store>press left soft key/search button>accounts>and then choose your account and wait for it to load.

Yeah its UI is just like the 3.4.4. Its slow, but atleast faster than 3.4.4. Yesterday, google updated the market to 3.4.7 from 3.4.6. Maybe few bug fixes from google.
I still use the old market. Has always been perfect for me. Some people prefer the new market. Posted this for them.

I guess your play store did not automatically update to 3.4.7. 3.4.6 has bugs. Updated Thread. Flash the new gapps.

I found out your problem. It was Google's fault, not mine.
They had some bugs with Google Play Store 3.4.7
Thread Updated. Added new Play Store 3.5.15
Note:
If the play store auto updated to the latest play store, You need not flash this update.

Just tested a package with Google Play Store v5.1.11 on Temasek's CM12 v1.7 ROM and it gave me an Authentication failure message. Will have to wait for it to be updated for our device.

I'm having Google play services issues on today's build of gapps.
Right from set up, I don't have the options to restore after entering my Google account.
Google play services is actually installed but I can't sync or do anything. It also gives internal error when I click on manage space from app info....
Anyone else in the same boat as I am?
I also get this:
"Google Play Services which some of your applications rely on is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacturer for assistance... "

It's always a lil tricky to remove/install play services manually. You should simply remove the -438 from your GApps, as it relies on stock 480dpi, and 480dpi is like zomgwtfnooneusesdizshiet! Replace them with universal -430 and everyone could use your Package easily

The Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools was developed in Kotlin for the Java Virtual Machine so it needs the JRE to run, version 11 or later.
Windows:
Install Oracle Java from here or OpenJDK from here. Ninite also includes AdoptOpenJDK.
Install the universal ADB drivers from here, reboot your PC.
Install Xiaomi USB Driver Download for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 (32/64-bit)

Instructions:
Enable developer options in Android.
MIUI: Go to Settings > About device and tap ‘MIUI version’ seven times to enable developer options.
Android One: Go to Settings > System > About device and tap ‘Build number’ seven times to enable developer options.
Enable USB debugging in Android.
MIUI: Go to Settings > Additional settings > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
In order to use the Screen density and Screen resolution modules, enable USB debugging (Security settings) as well.
Android One: Go to Settings > System > Developer options and enable USB debugging.
Connect your device to the computer and launch the application. The device is going to ask for authorisation, which you'll have to allow.
Wait for the application to detect your device. The device info should appear in the top left section.
Apply check on apps you want to remove from your device and click Uninstall.
List and Notes for each of the System / bloatware apps to remove without breaking functionality:
Analytics (This gather data about your phone usage and send back to Xiaomi for analysis.)

Backup (This is the local backup feature of MIUI. Don't uninstall it if you plan to do local backups. I personally don't, so I uninstalled it.)
CatchLog (MIUI Logging app, probably useful for the purposes of fixing your phone on authorized service centers.)
Facebook (Uninstall it, if you need it then install from Google Play Store. You don't need the extra system apps installed to use Facebook.)
Feedback (Generally not useful unless you want to file a bug report to MIUI)
Games (Xiaomi's Game Store. Useless since you have Google Play Store.)
GetApps (Gives you suggestions for other apps you can install, basically annoying ads)
Google Chrome (if you prefer other browsers like brave or mozilla)

use adb shell and paste this command,

Several other threads say that removing WMService is dangerous if you are logged into your phone with a Mi account. Removing it will lock your phone requiring a visit to a Xiaomi service centre to fix

Why the heck do I need this app? Can’t I just install the apps by myslef?
Well yes, you could, but they would not appear in Android Auto. Since the beginning of 2018 the custom apps for Android Auto are blocked by Google, but AAAD installs them in a special way in order to actually see the apps on Android Auto. And no root is needed! Call it magic, if you will.
I have a warning from Google Play Protect warning me about your app! Is this app a malware?
Of course AAAD it’s not a malware. Google Play Store does not like apps that install other apps and apps that have IAP (in app purchases) not managed by Google. You can see yourself that this app basically doesn’t require special permissions. Also, I’m planning on releasing the source code soon!
Why only those apps? Where is YouTube? Where is Netflix? Where is Instagram?
Not all apps are compatible with Android Auto. You can’t just pick an app and sledge hammer it into Android Auto. I’ve included basically almost every Android Auto app known to date, and the only responsibility of AAAD is to make them available in Android Auto.
How do I update the apps installed from AAAD?

If you are on mobile, you likely will have a little dropdown menu named "Assets", from there you can see the package (APK) to install the app. Download and install. If you are on a PC, you might see the "Assets" menu already collapsed and from there you can see the APK.

Carstrean 2.04 has the option to access the sdcard, the carstran 2.05 does not have the option of accessing the sdcard.

I installed AAAD and then downloaded Screen2Auto using AAAD, and then installed Screen2Auto.
However, Screen2Auto does not show as an available app in AA.
I tried rebooting my Galaxy S7 (Android 8.0) but still no Screen2Auto in AA (version (6.3.611324).
One thing, Screen2Auto had a toggle for root access during installation and I toggled it to yes. Should I have left it at no?

"Device doesn't meet security
requirements You can't tap to pay with this device. It may be rooted or running uncertified software. Contact your device manufacturer or visit Google Wallet Help for more info."
My cards were not removed, it seems that the wallet is functional, but this information worries me. This information is not displayed every time when the wallet application is turned on. Everything else works for me (banks, netflix...), I go through safetynet.
I have one more question.
I don't know exactly how these things work...
How about the safetynet? Could it happen that one day GooglePay and Bank apps will stop working for me without an OS update or some other magisk module installation??

sorry, my mistake. You don't have to hide this at all.
it is the application "Play integrity API Checker" and it is used for additional verification of whether root is hidden.
If you have a problem with google wallet, delete storage & cache in Google Play services and wallet. Next, open your Wallet, add new cards and everything will work.

As far as I know, MagiskHide Props Config does not work correctly on P7. Does volte-properties for pixel 6 work for you?
Try to turn these things off, restart the phone, delete the cache storage as I wrote above and I think it will work.

Solved, I'm on the latest Dec update.
I also use gpay daily.
I use the skvalex magisk version that automatically installs the call recorder application. I think Google Voice should also record it.

thanks for the info,.. hmm, interesting..what is the point of flash SKVALEX module then, application itself should works already as long as it rooted..
